Saw people recommending this a lot 12 weeks ago. They said it's funny and all so I gave it a chance.

I enjoyed the first two episodes a lot. The scenery was great (the only reason I began watching it tbh), the OP seemed catchy, and it seemed like a nice and fun anime to watch. However, after 12 episodes, I have to say I neither had fun watching this. And the amount of times I laughed/giggled is less than five.

The good:
The art is great. OP/ED and the insert song is pretty nice/catchy. But gets very boring very quickly.

The bad:
Literally everything.
From the boring story, ... to boring characters, to boring fights, etc. etc. Just plain boring. I had to force myself to finish watching the rest. Mainly because I don't like dropping shows.


If you are into cute girls doing cute things that are not funny but people pretend it is, then give this a try. You might like it, who knows.

If you are someone who enjoys shows like SAO or MILF Isekai, then give this a try. You might like it.

Nanbaka is a great manga. The story and art are fantastic. The comedy is amazing. Action is great.

The manga is about inmates/guards in a prison. It is centred around a few inmates and guards of Cell 13. Over time, we learn more about each character and why they are here (for the inmates) and also learn more about the guards and the prison itself.

In this story, we see their backstories and why they are the way they are. It takes a little time but it is worth it.

The story: 8
Not necessarily bad but it really has a rather basic plot and it uses ... the comedy and action to get the plot moving. And it takes a long time to get over an arc. The second main arc took nearly 100 chapters to be done.

But despite being an overall basic plot, it has many plot twist which makes it very interesting to read.

Art: 10
I love the art. It's fantastic. It showcases the emotions of the characters, their expressions perfectly. Furthermore, the visuals of the action sequences are amazing. All the action scenes are very well done and its thanks to the art of this manga.

Characters: 10
Characters are likeable and funny. They also have decent stories and motivation which helps with their likeability. Each gets their own fair share of treatment in the manga and you can see their character develop and see them do a lot of cool things.

Enjoyment: 10
I love this manga so much. I have been reading it for a while and it has not disappointed me yet. It has a good story, funny, action-packed and has great art. It also has a lot of meme potential.

Overall: 10 from me.

This anime had huge potential when I saw the first episode. I thought "oh, an Isekai that actually seems like it's good". And everyone was super hyped for it. After the first episode, it keeps going down and down.

What started as a unique Isekai... Just became a pathetic clichéd Isekai. I had high expectations for it but I was stupid to have high expectations.

The story starts with our MC gets transported to another. And then he gets accused of rape. Cool story so far. But then he finds a demi human and makes her his part member. This is when ... it starts to go down. Raphtalia had a potential as a character to be good... But nope. The author had to make her be a typical shitty female protagonist from most Isekai LN/Manga. (Though the writer of the LN is to be blamed for this.)

Then the MC gains more members and support....and this is when it started to sink even lower. Like I thought it will be the MC Vs the world. That is what I expected from what people told me. But now it's different. He has supporters like the queen. The hell?

Melty is possibly the worst character ever. She is so annoying.

The only good character is Myne. One second, let me explain. Myne is written to be a bitch and trash. The worst of the worst. And it continues through the whole series. And I like that. The only consistently good written character.

But the MC and the other characters change way too often. MC is getting attached to those girls? Why? Should you really be trusting people? And I hate how he went from hating everything and now is helping even the royals? The hell? Doesn't he hate the royals?

Another massive problem with the characters is the other three heroes. Okay, Sword Hero is pretty good. Looks pretty good. Bow Hero... is meh. But for the love of all things, Spear Hero... Man, he is the worst of the worst. Like what kind of idiot can you be?

Anyway, the OP and ED is fantastic. The new ones are also great. Art is fantastic too. But nothing noteworthy like Mob Psycho 100.

I really hope it gets better but from what I am seeing, it turns into a typical Isekai. It was wrong of me to listen to people who said it's diffirent.
