I'm sure in the past few months and the few that are to come many fans, both new and old alike will flock to watch or rewatch this movie that supposedly concludes the timeline of Steins Gate. Whilst this movie had left an extremely strong impression on me when I first watched it, watching this a second time has left an equally strong impression, although not one it would hope for, hence my writing this review.
Art (8): Standard Stein's gate art, if you've seen the original you'll know what you are in for (No significant improvements made)
Sound (10): Voice acting was great as per usual,
...
osts were also the favourites from before plus a few new ones every now and again.
Characters (10): Once again we have the same array of characters although we do get nice little treats in that we get to see another side of several other characters (Mr Braun)
Enjoyment (10): The score for enjoyment is there because it is enjoyable so long as you remain mind-dead throughout the period when watching the movie. The moment you try and think you may or may not become slightly irritated, which is what I believe lead to my conflicting feelings when watching it for the second time.
Story (4): Unlike the traditional style I've left this to the end because I didn't want the scores to deter potential fans of the series. Stein's Gate is infamous for some of the contradicting results presented in the series, but this movie takes it to a whole level.
Firstly there is the entire disappearance of Kyouma, his disappearance is not in memories (Ideally fluctuating between two timelines, as a result causing strange and contradicting behaviour) but was instead physically disappearing from a world, which didn't make much sense. As if this wasn't bad enough, the resolving of the incident was extremely badly written and contradicted the core of Steins Gate, John Titor's theory. The resolution including travelling to the past before any form of time machine had been made and thus the world lines had diverged, meaning that it shouldn't have helped ground Kyouma to the Steins Gate timeline (Given that all timelines share that same past). Furthermore there is the conflict stemming from the fact that Kurisu time traveled via the Phone Microwave, meaning that Sern once again has records and will attempt to kidnap/ murder everyone, defeating the entire point of the previous season.
Contradictions aside though the story was a real treat, with lots of fan service (Not dirty) and furthering the relationship between Kurisu and Kyouma. Touching moments existed as did funny moments and so it wasn't really that bad. Overall I'd say about a 7 if you think, and a 9 if you don't.

This season of anime was one to look forward to, with popular series like Umaru and Gintama gaining new additions to their story. However there were a couple of new additions that have stood out as well (namely Blend S and Mahoutsukai no Yome). That being said Imouto sae ireba is my pick of this season. The reason simply being because its good at its genre. Compared to Blend S forgetting about the settings of their MC (I can only assume it has something to do with wanting the audience to actually like her) and Mahoutsukai no yome merely touching upon dependence rather than love,
...
Imouto Sae Ireba is a story about a group of people finding their direction in life.
Story 8/10
A lot of you who just watched the first episode are probably bloody confused, the first 5 minutes in nothing but ecchi, and cringey ecchi on top of that. But thats where the protagonist fits in, his love is cringey/unconditional due to the experiences he has had in life, however this series focuses as much on the MC as it does everyone else, meaning that towards the end there is only one character who really brings forth these scenes.
The story itself is episodic and whilst there are buildups that helps with the flow, that being said its not one of those exciting ones, just a warm and fuzzy story which is why I cannot give it a great score despite my liking it.
Art 8/10
The art is a bit more different from the usual anime, that is not to say it isn't good, but its something to bear when watching the thing. There isn't much to say aside from that, but I do know some who were slightly put off by this art style.
Sound 8/10
Opening was great, thats one thing all the new anime have in common this season. But the actual bgm/ost in this doesn't really stand out. Once again simply because of the type of anime, but for the most part it compliments the story and doesn't feel out of place.
Characters 9/10
This is where the anime stands out for me, with an anime like this the characters are the focus and the story is merely a means to compliment them. You have the passionate MC who as I've mentioned before is slightly eccentric, the reason for this was explored slightly too late for my taste, a mistake a lot of anime make, but even without the reasoning it should be too hard to empathize with. On top of that you have a small assortment of females, each with their own reason for being there and supporting the MCs. That being said there is none of the typical cat fights that go on in so many anime, instead its more of a slow paced romance that eventually falls into place.
The relationship between characters is rather dynamic and there are many small changes in the story that put said relationships to the test, which is always good to see.
Overall 8.5/10
I personally put 9 in my score, but 8.5 is probably slightly more accurate. A good one to watch if you have the time and managed to muddle your way past the first episode but for those who are expecting an ecchi incest anime its probably better to give this one a miss.

Hiro Mashima promised us a surprise, and boy did he give us a surprise. Your surprise at my score given that I am a fairy tail fan is only half the surprise you'll get when watching the actual movie. It is unimaginably terrible. (how did it get over 7 is beyond me, tbh I actually had this listed as a 5 on my list)
So lets just go over the good bits, the sound was good, but that is to be expected from a fairy tail title, unfortunately you shouldn't expect too much from the new stuff and the old tracks that make fairy tail fairy
...
tail are few and far between. (8)
As for the art, I'm not too sure whether its just me or if the arts actually taken one step forward and three steps back. It doesn't exactly feel as good as the 2014 series but still holds its own when put up against other anime. (7)
The characters are a huge part in fairy tail, and unfortunately the way the movie was written and what have you just weren't put to use correctly and to be honest felt quite shallow, just like this review (6)
The story, boy oh boy the story, my question is what story? This whole plot revolves around what Joker did to his colleagues in the first 5 minutes of the Batman movie. Not many other twist and turns really. Some people would argue that there are surprises towards the end of the movie, but rather than surprises it feels more like throwing random facts at you as quickly as they could in the last 15 minutes of the movie. (2)
All in all, not a movie to watch unless it plays an important part in the coming season (oh yes I need to mention here that there is a time skip involved so some of you might be able to better understand it after the new season starts). (4)

What starts out as a typical quest to right her own wrongs turns into a more complicated anime after she loses her soup, we are introduced to the initial characters and are shown different parts of the world's state and history. With themes that are similar to Junketsu no Maria, the anime as it is right now is slowly expanding our knowledge of the state of the world. Whilst the story is not unique in any way it is not by any means bad (I'm sure some of the other reviews will beg to differ), meaning it will be more than enough to keep you
...
interested. The recent few episodes have started to show a bit of the characters changing as people which is nice (I have qualms with how slow durarara/baccano was despite being a huge fan)
As for the art, pretty standard, it looks good but compared to most other Japanese anime it doesn't stand out, expect fluid animations and effects. The one bit that I do think they did well for art is probably the characters which are relatively detailed.
Music is great, I love the opening. The ending is calm and relaxing (though not exactly my sort of thing) and the bgm is more than capable of sending the mood. That being said due to the lack of action/emotional scenes so far it hasn't had a really good chance to stand out.
Characters are your typical op + knowledgeable MC (or heroine depending on how you look at it), your character that isn't happy with the world as it is and is seeking the ability to change himself. You have the loyal little magician who may or may not become an antagonist further down the road, which will be interesting to see how it plays out. As I mentioned the characters are drawn in great detail and the MC seems to have some sort of backstory we haven't fully explored yet so I am looking forward to it.
All in all its a 9 for me, this anime doesn't seem to have made a lot of mistakes but at the same time isn't taking enough risks to really stand out and get a 10 (masterpiece), that being said its more than enjoyable and doesn't let the recent few seasons (which have been great mind you) down.

In the recent years China has begun to invest in Anime, and in this case we see the result, a fully animated series with probably some of the best art in this season.
The story is pretty....normal? A guy loses his job over office politics and works his arse off to regain his former glory. (Read the description I won't spoil it for you)
Art is amazing, considering this is a relatively new field in China and that their art is a whole lot better than even some of the more popular series (e.g. Boku no hero academia), its safe to say it won't take too long
...
for most of their series to catch up to the Japanese quality. Unfortunately though, whilst mob characters in the game are all right, IRL they seem a bit..off (perhaps a reflection of our real life as well) The one complaint I might have however is the fact that they add very generic effects in anime to some characters, which can conflict slightly with the more serious art style this series has at times.
Sound is probably where this falls off a bit, I speak for myself when I say that the use of Chinese rather than Japanese makes things a little weird, but even ignoring that the voice acting is still far from the quality you get in Japanese anime, which I tend to use as a standard. This won't affect dub (assuming someone does it later on), but those of us who watch it raw or subbed (I speak both languages but still prefer sub) may find it slightly lacking. Background music is also pretty average, it isn't bad by any means but isn't something that particularly stands out, plus the amount of bgms/osts compared to most other anime is quite limited.
Main Character is pretty standard and likeable (hard working resulting in being overpowered combined with bad luck, which gives him his arrogant and yet slightly humorous means of talking) People who dislike harems should be pleased because from the looks of things we won't be getting one, due to the relationship between the males and females mostly being ones of master and disciple or brother and sister, although there have been hints that there could be something more. In addition, the characters in the team compliment each other and bring out an array of jokes, though some of which would be hard for those who don't speak Chinese to understand.
Fairly enjoyable, as you can see from the scores, so I won't dwell on it, an overall 9 for me because it is fairly enjoyable and different. And also shows a lot of promise, so long as the Chinese doesn't bother you too much I would recommend you to watch it, even if it is just to get a feeling for Chinese Anime.

So we've finally reached the end of the ride, and what a ride it has been. IBO disappointed many fans early on due to the fact that (1) it isn't crossbone, (2) it is somewhat different from all the other gundam series and (3) it has no "waifu" as some of my mates have pointed out.
That being said, what IBO is full of is tear jerking moments, a few twists and turns which depending on your experience you may be able to predict, and lots and lots of deaths. As usual the ops, eds and osts are very good, and unlike clannad's ones
...
they actually fit in with the story, meaning you wan't get a happy/dango song after someone's death.
The characters are not bad, but as I've mentioned some people have pointed out that the female characters need a little bit more work put into them, which isn't necessarily wrong, but it doesn't in the grand scale of things affect your enjoyment.
All in all watching even if you aren't a huge fan of mecha, but if this really isn't your thing then you won't be missing out on too much.

The first thing you think when you see the scores given to Durarara! is that this is a masterpiece, you then proceed to watch only to immediately be let down by how absolutely dull it seems to be. This is likely because of the fact that the way the show is portrayed is similar to Bacanno (which they give credit to through isaac and miria, along with Bacanno scenes being played in the background) , just not half as good or appropriate. The so called mysteries that drive the plot early on are things that we shrug at and it remains fairly boring until
...
just before the mid point. From that point on Durarara! starts to shine, instead of trying to forcefully use the unique method of story telling Bacanno did, they did it normally and allowed the plot to develop in a way that was fairly enjoyable. I'm was sure to deduct a few points from it due to the beginning but by the end everything was so enjoyable that you just can't stand the thought of giving it a bad score.
Anyways the point is if you read from a wiki the basic information and skip to around episode 9, you can avoid the painful experience whilst still being able to enjoy the show like everyone else.

As usual Garo manages to deliver a fairly entertaining show to its audience. This movie takes off 4 years after the end of the previous series. The art and sound quality is consistent with the original so if you liked that you are probably going to like this. The story is nothing special though it does feature a little bit of Leon once again questioning himself which is always good, and if you look at the characters bit you will see an old favourite we thought had gone. But anyways a good movie to watch if you are a fan of the franchise and hopefully
...
something that this leads on to in the near future.

Story 6/10
Fairly simple story with "twists" that one could see from a mile away. At certain points the story was somewhat cringe-worthy and doesn't shine compared to the other anime we normally see. Aside from this romance, which is supposed to be a driving force in the story, is somewhat lacking due to the fact that it is so sudden and has no development whatsoever.
Art 6/10
The art was decent but not anything special, nor does it need to be with this type of anime, so I have no real complaints in this area.
Sound 8/10
Probably the highest scoring area for this movie, whilst the music doesn't
...
give you the chills like dragon force or tenka fubu, it fits well with the story and to a certain extent helps bring about emotions from the scene.
Character 6/10
Characters were alright, like a lot of anime they make the weirdest of decisions but the main problem was that we simply didn't see much in the change of behaviour of characters. Slightly disappointing.
Enjoyment 5/10
This is probably the only area where I am slightly biased, I've seen reviews and I've felt the hype for this movie, I was let down. As mentioned before there were a lot of cringe-worthy moments that also put a damper on the experience and so I probably enjoyed this less than someone who walked in and knew nothing of it nor what to expect.
Overall 7/10
I have to make it clear I don't believe that this movie deserves the hype it's been given, that was probably one of the reasons I was so disappointed when watching this. That being said the movie is by no means excruciating to watch and the basic idea behind the story is not too shabby so if you have time and you're able to just watch it with no expectations good on you, watch it, you'll probably enjoy this more than I did.
