When reading Uzumaki I instantly thought back to Gantz. Both Manga include bizarre and disturbing scenes, and I find that the creatures in Uzumaki have a similarity to the aliens that are featured in Gantz. Both are great and interesting reads -- if you enjoy Gantz, I can assure that you will find at least some enjoyment in Uzumaki, and vice-versa.

A relationship between the male protagonist begins when a female friend of his pairs him together with a friend of hers, only for the truth to come out: that she had feelings for him all along. Both Anime include scenes of intense drama, suspense, romance and love triangles.

If you liked Kanon (2006) add

...then you might like True Tears add

Both series follow a male protagonist who has connections to different girls. They have the same atmosphere, dealing with relationships between the characters as a main focus to each episode, as well as featuring tear-jerking moments among them. They both include interesting and unique characters within the cast, and deal with romance.
