Honestly, my friend had been telling me to watch this anime for almost 6 months and I always scoffed at him. A sports anime? And that too based on volleyball, a sport I knew nothing about. but one boring day I decided to give it a go, and that was when I realised the masterful work that is this anime. From the first episode, you are introduced to the main characters (even though I believe the whole cast is the main character in this show) and their motivations and it's no understatement that I was instantly hooked.

manages to generate even though is based in a realistic setting is amazing. the music, in my opinion, plays a huge role in that. But the best part of this show is the characters themselves. I could go on forever admiring how much care is put into the character development for each and every character and team in the show. I'm not exaggerating when I say that I could watch these boys do completely regular school things and still be entertained and happy. This show also does a great job of highlighting the opposing teams in tournaments so you will find yourself rooting for even your rival teams most of the times.
Overall a must-watch for any anime fan :)
