So maybe this show isn't perfect, but for a dirty joke filled adventure it was pretty fun. The cute little girl Jeanne receives a philosopher's stone and becomes super strong but the only way she can handle it's power is if she constantly drinks a special elixir which just so happens to only exist in the MC's saliva. What a concept! It makes for some really funny scenes. As far as I know it also stuck to the actual historical events fairly well. I know what you're thinking, a fantasy lolicon ecchi is historically accurate??? Well maybe not in the way characters dress and the ... magic, but it was a very creative retelling. The MC has a bit of a harem but it's like Re:Zero where pretty much all the girls like him but he picks a waifu and sticks with it. (It's Jeanne) And in the end they just wanted to make the world a peaceful place where everyone can decide their own fate. So y'know having to fight god is totally understandable. The theme song always got me hype when it started and yeah there was a bunch of unnecessarily large boobs and almost rape scenes but this is the first anime of this genre I've seen where the girls were strong enough to fight back and not just be the butt of every joke. Overall I think this show is very unappreciated and shouldn't just be written off because it looks kind of ridiculous.
