Dragon Ball Super is without a doubt the worst mainstream new gen that has aired
this show is an utter pile of shite, it is a show which I would only recommend to 8 year old kids who have never watched anime before
Please recommend me a new gen shonen anime worse than this...... no it doesn't exist
This show's plot doesn't exist at all, random guys pop out of nowhere and want to fight Goku and destroy Earth thats the plot of this show for 2/3rd of the episodes the other 1/3rd is this ridiculous fight tournaments which sees some of the old characters of
...
DBZ like Gohan, Krillin, Android twins etc come back and beat a few fodders up then get eliminated which is honestly a stupid way of getting the old side characters involved, the old characters of Dragon Ball Z are massacred in this show and the newly introduced characters are completely obnoxious asf and just annoying to look at the only good character in this show was probably Zamasu but besides him everyone is shit to even think about, Gohan is now a scholar and doesn't do shit at all besides babysitting his superhuman baby child he only comes back in the final arc. Goku's IQ has been terribly reduced and he now has the maturity level of a 6 year old (this was done for comedic effect but it failed miserably as the humour in this show is just low-brow, also did I mention Goku loses more than half of his fights in this show), Chi-Chi is still a nag, Vegeta is now a laid back loser who is only there to get beaten up so Goku gets the spotlight, also this show does retarded things like bringing back Frieza twice they bring him back once just to kill him then they bring him back again and this time it's forever and this time Frieza the evil warlord has fight alongside our heroes to save the universe (again this is kids show level writing), also let me talk about the newly introduced chracters who just are beyond mediocrity there is Beerus who is a dEsTrOyEr gOd who destroys planets and people, apparently that's a thing done to somehow maintain balance over the universe although i don't know how this shit concept even works then there is Whis who is Beerus's assisstant but also his master which is another shit concept, and also then there is Universe 6 who are just ass there are Cabba, Kale and Caulifla who are utterly obnoxious and nauseating then there is Hit aka discount Batman and Frost aka discount Frieza.
This show only gets entertaining and enjoyable during fight scenes which are pretty well animated and choreographed, it did break the internet even tho it was only due to fight scenes and the overhyping of fans to be honest, this show only has good fight scenes but even those aren't the best, Goku vs Jiren was well animated but the choreography was still very poor
the art is alright, not the best but not the worst it only gets really good during fight scenes due to high budgeting by Toei animation for these fights
Sure it does have a few redeeming qualities about it but for the most part Toriyama sensei uses the same plot threads he used in Z and created this big pile of mediocrity and except this time he literally forces everything to connect because this series has no plot whatsoever its always some bad guy appeared so time for Goku to save the day again or Beerus wants Goku to do this so Goku has to do this
overall this is a very poor anime in my books

Demon Slayer is well.......... your run of the mill Shonen anime , its definitely one of the most overhated anime in recent times due to the toxic anime community who want dEpTh and GoOd WrItIng but dont even know the G of good writing.
that aside Demon Slayer is by no means a great anime at all but it's very good in what it does while it portrays the different bonds of the character in very good fashion and also the story comes out as heartwarming and is actually very emotional the characters are one dimensional but they seem rich in personality which is honestly a
...
good way to cover up your their flaws. but besides that there still are quite some flaws in Demon Slayer, it does follow your classic anime cliche with it's characters which is no good especially for a new gen Shounen animanga, it also does very annoying things like elongate Tanjiro's training arc making it an extreme bore to watch but then it gives us no context in Tanjiro training the 10 water breathing techniques which is a clear miss out on a potentially good training arc and like I mentioned earlier the characters are one-dimensional for the most part often only showing one side of themselves as the only one side, Zenitsu is your run of the mill scaredy cat, Inosuke is your run of the mill crazy dumb guy, Giyu is the antisocial dude who doesn't react to anything , Nezuko is well she is pretty difficult to describe lol but like I said they are filled with personality even tho they are one-dimensional , The characters and the plot may not be that good but it's not the worst of all time like a lot of people will tell you it's good in it's own way it's also very memorable due to the interactions between the characters
the Animation of Demon Slayer is chef's kiss and 10/10 no debates about it, the animating by Ufotable is done by very experienced artists so obviously it's gonna be exquisite, the artstyle is also pretty appreciable but for the more part it's the quality of the animation which is most impressive I would even argue that the Animation is this series' most redeeming quality
it also has very good background music the spookiness gives me chills honestly and the intro and outro are just spot on as well.
The fight scenes were incredibly animated and choreographed as well and the quality is simply peak, Tanjiro and Nezuko vs Rui has to be one of the best fights in all of anime in the past 10 years, Studio Ufotable truly did incredible stuff with this and I have to give them major props for that, for pretty much making this anime which lacks a good story into something very Enjoyable, Demon Slayer despite not having multi-dimensional characters and a good story is still very memorable and hopefully they do the upcoming seasons just like they did with this one
STORY ( 4/10): Obviously Demon Slayer lacks a good story, the pacing is all over the place and OVERALL plot is just meh but I will give it a few points just because atleast there is a purpose in the story.
CHARACTERS (6/10): The characters are alright, they aren't multi dimensonal or well written by any means but they do have colorful and compelling personalities
ART(10/10): do I even have to explain?
SOUND (8/10): THE OPENING WAS FIRE, the endings? not so much
ENJOYMENT (7/10): Yeah overall I did enjoy DS and would recommend this as a starter anime

Attack On Titan has to be the most overrated mainstream anime in recent times
it's considered a very complex show so whats so complex about this show? it's nothing just plain nothing the people calling this show complex are the same people who used to call F.R.I.E.N.D.S complex but dont get me wrong it's not particularly bad but it is mediocre at best, the whole plot of this show is Humanity fighting to survive against giant humanoid lardasses named Titans which only die when they are cut on the back of their necks the whole point of this first season the survey corps an organisation
...
focused on collecting data from Titans going on missions, try to collect data about the titans by fighting with the titans and then protecting civilians when the Titans enter the small area covered by walls made just for Humans which sounds decent enough but what comes after is when this show starts sinking down for me
The main character Eren Jaegar has to be one of the biggest dumbfounds in anime history this guy legit is completely driven by his own insanity and his only purpose is to act like a desperate retard when he can't keep himself under control (I can hold my shit better than Eren can hold himself together) not to mention his asspull transformation into the Attack Titan is pretty unsettling and doesn't even make sense to begin with, Eren just keeps blabbering on and on about the same thing for 25 episodes on stop and just sounds like a wannabe Osama bin Laden yes I am comparing Eren to Osama Bin Laden
then there is Mikasa Ackerman who is this Eren's paranoid Man-Lady babysitter who Eren never asked for but got anyway, the whole point of Mikasa's existence is to pamper tf out of Eren and treat him like a 10 year old man-baby even tho he can transform into a 15-foot maneater and almost killed her
the other characters are pretty cliche there is Armin your classic smarty pants who is a coward then there is Levi your classic badass dude who becomes a fan favourite then there is Erwin your handsome alpha leader then Jean your classic "I simp for the female lead"
Annie is definitely a terrible villain whose character was executed poorly.
the dynamics between these characters are down right horrendous and terribly written to say the least.
The art is just bland and not very good looking a lot of the characters look the same so you can easily see the lack of creativity the Animation is not too bad but the artstyle and character designs are super repetitve and uncreative asf
the most redeemable thing about this show is the gore and the bloody violent fight scenes which are pretty well animated
Attack On Titan is the benchmark anime for Mediocre and nowhere near as good as the fans of the series claim it to be

Tokyo Revengers is perhaps one of the few new gen anime which don't need fight scenes and animation to carry the show every damn season
it has a very simple plot about a young boy named Takemichi who wanted to be a delinquent trying to save his ex-Girlfriend Tachibana Hinata by going back in time when he was 15 using his special abilities as a time-leaper, Takemichi manages to make some new friends in Manjiro Sano aka Mikey , Ryuguji Ken aka Draken, Matsuno Chifuyu and slowly fix his life all while trying trying to save Toko Manji gang, the gang led by Manjiro from becoming
...
a criminal group and his dream girl Hinata from death.
now that the intro is done
Tokyo Revengers has a very neat and tidy plot for the most part in the first season it shows us what unacknowledged and unprivileged youth can become in Japan and since Delinquents were very common in Japan during the 90s and the 2000s so it's a pretty good piece of reference by Ken Wakui. throughout the plot of the first season Takemichi the low-level runt who always wanted to be the top delinquent but could never become one manages to make a name for himself after getting involved in 2 incidents just for the noble purpose of saving his friends without even realising it, The story is very well built up and the pay-off from both the arcs in the first season are very satisfying compared to most Shonen that I have watched, with rollercoaster emotions showing us that even Delinquents are human beings and they too have feelings and reason behind their actions both in the anime and IRL as well.
Tokyo Revengers truly shows that all is not lost and it's never too late to change yourself and your way of living and there will always be someone for you to lean back on,
also the cliffhanger of S1 was perfectly directed with the whole Takemichi and Kisaki scene
the characters of this show are mostly kids who age between 15-18, these characters are very enjoyable and compelling whenever they are onscreen whether it be fighting or just merely interacting with each other most of these kids have a distinct mission in why they wanna be delinquents, and it's that drive that makes them compelling as characters in general. the dynamics between these characters is insanely well executed especially between Mikey and Ken (but the one Baji Keisuke and Matsuno Chifuyu is also noteworthy)
Ryuguji Ken in particular is a very well defined character when it comes to his motives and background with Tokyo Manji gang and his relationship with other side characters is also well explored and well written , we haven't seen Manjiro's or anyone else's backstory in the first season but their characters and the way they interact with other characters in a world full of delinquents is very relatable the entire theme of Tokyo Revengers's season 1 is that everyone needs a back to lean on and I guess this theme will be used in the following seasons as well as this anime explores a whole new dimension for Shonen it's sprinkled with deep emotions and moments.
The art is not the best and the designs seem somewhat mediocre because of the low-quality animation for a lot of the episodes hopefully it gets better in the 2nd season
the Opening is a masterpiece with exceptional themes and animation and a very well directed music video and the endings were amazing as well and addicting.
overall TR is one of the best new gen anime.

Hunter X Hunter is an absolute masterpiece created by the legendary Togashi
It'a a series that has almost everything
wild adventure: check
complex characters: check
memorable fight scenes : check
intense emotions: check
a perfect power-system: check
and almost everything else is a check
what starts out as a simple story about a boy wanting to find his father and become a Hunter aka a person who has access to everything turns out be a rollercoaster of a adventurous series, Hunter x Hunter is perhaps the best example in anime of never judge a book by it's cover, it has very rich characters who seem insanely compelling and interesting that you would
...
be thining of them all day and still not be able to comprehend how well written they truly is.
HxH has one of the best arcs in anime in my books the Chimera ant arc which is a very all-rounding arc
HxH fleshes out a character's development slowly but surely where the character does not show off his development that much making it very relatable in a sense
these series does things which makes it stands out among other shonen anime
HxH sets up it's arcs in such a way that allows him to make different scenarios instead of getting the best pay-off from intense that other Shonen anime do
Togashi's characters are rich with personality,
with very complex characters like Hisoka, Killua , Kurapika, Gon, Meruem Chrollo and Illumi who are not very black nor very white even when it comes to the protagonists Gon and Killua ,
HxH also has an extremely realistic and jaw-dropping story-line which gives us exposure of the characters, even tho there is a lack of conflict i the series it still manages to portray tense scenarios in a very unpredictable way.
the art and the character are extremely well designed in HxH from the Phantom Troupe members to the Chimera ants
the fight scenes are pretty brilliant and tactical thanks to Nen Aura for being the model Power system, Nen's insane versatility allows the characters go play Death Note level mind games with each other all while finding an opening to attack, Nen gives someone a different way to use their aura based on their affinity, with fights like Meruem vs Netero, Gon vs Hisoka, Gon vs Neferpitou etc
HxH is honestly a model Shonen anime.

Naruto Shippuden is definitely one of those series where if you truly understand it, it becomes very memorable whereas if you don't then you see it as mediocre.
in it's most basic form Naruto: Shippuden is a series where about a boy named Naruto who just wanted to fit in with people, become respected and acknowledged by everyone including his best friend and rival Uchiha Sasuke. Naruto just represents the unacknowledged youth of today who are ignored by society and left all alone in to rot away.
now let's get down to my real review of Naruto: Shippuden
Naruto's story is fairly decent enough it doesn't
...
have the best writing of a Shonen anime but it's not bad either it's fairly good. many a times it's about how society can fck you up and make you purposeless that you start to hate society itself, but again this theme seems to be repetitive used amongst some of the major antagonists throughout the series, the plot seems fairly predictable but not as predictable as Mid Ball Z lol Shippuden also has some retcons which were never addressed by Masashi Kishimoto I won't point it out here cuz I don't wanna spoil anybody reading this review. but Naruto is definitely one of the best anime when it comes to plot-twists of the show but hpwever these twists can come off with 0 foreshadowing at all but that IMO does little to make the series look bad, Naruto has very deep real life philosophy and emphasis with characters like Itachi, Obito, Sasuke, Pain , Madara, Hashirama , Hagoromo and Naruto himself. these characters more or less have been through very tight circumstances and in each case they developed different ideologies which are very similar at the same time that they follow. these characters with do or die life situations seem to be well written, when it comes to side characters who aren't villains or anti-heroes or dudes who didnt die a long time ago Naruto does fall short for example the females Naruto seriously are some of the most laglustre in popular the only who ones who even contribute a little are Sakura, Tsunade and Konan, and even then Sakura and Konan mostly serve as supportive beta females to their male counterparts while there is also Kaguya Otsutsuki who seems interesting as a character but the way she gets introduced is very unappealing oh I almost forgot to mention that Naruto:Shippuden also has one of if not the worst written female character in anime Hinata Hyuga, a creep with no individuality who makes me sick just by appearing on screen like everytime she appears i feel like fast-forwarding. Naruto still has some good compelling side characters like Might Guy, Kakashi, Shikamaru, Choji and Sai.
Naruto definitely has Immaculate art and fight scenes, Naruto's fight scenes are one of the best in anime and it's mostly thanks to chakra for being a incredible power system throughout the series even from the days of the OG Naruto, Naruto fights such as Naruto vs Pain, Kakashi vs Obito, Might Guy vs Madara will always be remembered by Anime fans for generations to come, Baruti had very good comedy too especially with the adult jokes sprinkled in between.
when it comes to music Naruto: Shippuden has incredible masterpiece openings like Silhouette and Blue Bird and endings too, their music is so addicting that I think Naruto: Shippuden is the very reason why I stopped my habit of skipping the openings
Overall Naruto is a series that I would recommend if you have the time to go through an anime with 100s of episodes

Dragon Ball Z aged very terribly for me, it seemed pretty cool when I watched it on TV but looking back at it and rewatching it made me realise how wrong I was.
It had everything but also nothing in a way of sense
Don't get me wrong Dragon Ball isn't exactly a bad animanga but it's not very good either in a sense for me
It definitely had enjoyment and excellent screenplay on it's side.
The dialogues were immaculate and the art was pretty good as well, and the fight scenes were always the best in Dragon Ball Z it gave us many legendary fights which will be
...
remembered in the fictional history books along with many incredible transformations, each arc showed us a different version of the characters and the Universe of Dragon Ball Z itself, An Underrated aspect of Dragon Ball Z is that this show has some of the best introductions to characters there is Trunks, Raditz, the android twins all have extremely unforgettable introductions, This show also had deep emotions and unforgettable deaths even tho the characters some back alive sooner or later
but however it does have many issues with the plot and the characters such as the Character Development of characters like Piccolo and Vegeta seems extremely forced just to fulfill the conditions of the plot, The villains just seem extremely poorly written and 1-dimensional to me. Gohan gets good character development in Cell arc but none of that seems to reflect on him in the Buu arc, the females are laglustre for the most part of the show only Android 18 seems to show somewhat relevant but even she gets brushed aside only after having the spotlight for a small time, Goten and Trunks unlocking SSJ1 has no context whatsoever, there is also this one scene where Goku who is an illiterate and uneducated activates a space ship.
Overall Dragon Ball Z is not very bad but not very good either, it's Shonen made specifically to target well Shonen.
Something like HxH or even Naruto easily beats it
