Human minds were never easy to decipher, you would walk past each human thinking their life is as ordinary and as boring as a plain living beings, you would never guess the sort of stories that lived up inside their hearts, you wouldn't guess anything about them.
I don't exactly know how to put it into words, but the anime showed great depth in very short time and managed to show us how a person can honestly be defined when they realise their life is on the line. How twisted are you, really? If you were put in a situation where you had no choice but
...
to fight for a hinted 'survival', how would you react?
Would you be enraged, flustered, maddened be what was bestowed upon you? Death has always been near you, it gets closer and closer to you day by day, that you never realise it until someone puts you in a situation that makes you stop and think about it: your time is running out each second.
Humans tend to forget that each person has a story that defines them, we always think it is only us who gets to experience a bundle of situations, that it is us prior to live and exist; we forget, each person, as plain and boring they seem to you, actually lived for years the same way you did and went through things the same way you did.
This is exactly what this 24-minute movie conveyed. In such short time, it showed us two different humans who might have taken the same road fight each other for existence. Could you be calm if you were put in the same situation?

"Two roads diverged in a yellow wood,
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could
To where it bent in the undergrowth;"
Have you ever sat by yourself and thought of the road you're taking? Was everything you abandoned worth chasing what you yearned for? As children, we lived in delusional fantasies: one would dream to grow up as an astronomer, a prince or princess, an honorary idol, or a magician that people traveld for. You were a child that believed in dreams and hopes, you had naive goals that were truly your inspiration.
...
As you grew up, your eyes saw more to it: such dreams are 'pathetic.' This is reality, and reality equals to success through money and education. Ah, but is that true? This story makes you question everything; uncertainty relays itself in your mind, and all you could ever think of is 'if you're living the life you truly want.'
This story revolves around three types of people:
1- A high school student stolen by reality. She view things logically and carries out responsibilities, she is mature, intelligent, and quite a realist; she carries a charismatic vibe.
2- A classmate who is one of the elites in society. He is clever, logical, calculating and lives his life walking a road planned out for him. He believes education is the only prosperity to succession.
3- A magician. He abandoned luxury and society's will for the sake of his own dreams, he lives a life away from reality and has a mind as delusional as a child, he believes a dream is everything you should live for.
To sum it up, a realist + an elitist + a magician, they all take you into a journey of 27 chapters, they teach you what it means to live a dream and reality, they make you see the kind of things you don't always see in mangas: originality; accuracy.
Although this manga has not answered every mystery, it has taught me more than mangas with 100s of chapters did. This manga is special in its own way, all the characters seem so real and full of depth, the way every character develops is outstanding and the lessons it has taught me is unforgettable.
I think after this manga, the way I carry on with my life will slightly differ than how it used to be. Reading this was a wonderful experience.

I chose this manga because I've recently only watched horror, and I wanted to read a light series that will ease me up after all of the scenes I previously saw. Boy, was I glad I stumbled upon this one.
To begin with, the art was captivating me. Ok, no exaggeration, the art was great in drawing face expressions and eyes. But leaving that aside, the characters weren't ones you'd easily get bored with, sometimes you'd find them a drag or not new but I can promise you that you'll take a liking to them.
To me, this manga sounds like a self-improvement type and
...
I personally liked it. It could get all so serious, but the next second it can lighten the mood and make you laugh. The main lead, Kei isn't someone annoying nor hateable either, so this manga can easily be read and enjoyed, I have my words. I loved this manga, and I haven't gotten enough of it! Make sure to mark it in your list.

I can't find the exact word to describe how twisted this movie is. My head was blown by everything, and I could no longer tell between reality and illusions. Every scene took you to the other, and things got so confusing to the point that I started wondering if the end will be her waking up and finding out this was all a dream.
Honestly speaking, this movie is so confusing and damn scary at night alright (watch this at 2PM and you'll see what I mean), you can't tell if everything happening is in the main character's head because of paranoia and the drastic changes
...
in her life, or if this was actually real.
There are scenes that will make you go 'wtf?' or you'd just sit there and wondering what the hell you just watched, but I have my promise, this movie is one of a kind. You think you know how it ends, but then the end will have you frozen or drop your jaw.
PS: watch it at night, it'll always be better in a cozy bed with a teddy bear in your arms.

Karigurashi no Arrietty in my opinion, is one of the finest movies of the anime world. It has this captivating atmosphere that would make you go all 'woaahh!' or 'ohhh!' throughout the process of watching. It's about a soon-to-become extinct species known as little people; they live just the same way humans does. Except that they're cute little chibis hiding from them.
The art? Perfection. The creative detailed art would make you pause and simply observe the way everything was fit and drawn so specifically and accurately, the art seriously made me go 'vhujikld' the whole time. I don't know if it's because I haven't
...
watched an Anime series for so long, but trust me in this, the art is beautiful.
What is most important is the no-sexism feelings put into this movie. I hate how Animes sometimes display women characters as weak/fragile humans on Earth, so this movie totally satisfied me. The characters are so slice-of-life, and each character has her own aspect. They were simple, average and relating type of characters.
Creativity, realism, fantasy, awesomeness, fluffiness, everything was just there. What could you expect from a Studio Ghibli, now? They have that unique 'thing' in their movies that always attracts your full attention; I gutta give my two thumbs up for this one.

As I started reading this manga, I couldn't hold its cuteness any longer. Some wouldn't really find it 'that' cute, but in my opinion, it certainly did. First of all, it's a light type of manga, so you wouldn't really find troubles and love triangles as you read along, you'd actually find a cheerful/clumsy (as what I see) girl surrounded by vicious boys.
Wait, did I say vicious? Nah, not really. Ok there are some like that, but whatever. It's a school with a bad reputation because of the boys, and she's the girl with the badass nickname: that's how it goes in this
...
manga.
This isn't a serious manga, neither a real hardcore romance one. Just a normal 'drop-in' kind of read; recommended.

I am certainly appalled and shocked at why the most voted reviews has a bad ranking for this series, for I personally liked it. Perhaps it was too confusing, or the watcher didn't receive real pain to understand what on earth was going on with this anime (I'm not saying you didn't for those who did).
Black Rock Shooter has two different worlds. One world is the normal life-style you're living in, and the other world is where your 'other-self' exists in and fight non-stop. You don't do anything else there. Just fight. You see, this anime has been a serious confusion for me from time
...
to time, and at times I felt like just ditching it because it's too depressing. But, I continued it. After all, it's only 8 episodes, and I thought nothing will hurt to just finish it all on one day, and man I'm super glad I didn't stop.
This anime comes from an MV, and its main topic is about pain, pain and nothing else but pain. Well, aside from love and friendship that is. I can only warn you that this anime is freakin' depressing, and I've been in a bad mood the whole day bc of it, but I'm still grateful I finished it since I definitely saw a masterpiece.
You won't clearly understand it if you're the type that doesn't notice the 'behind messages', and simply watch for mere entertainment. This anime surprisingly showed us our real harsh reality, and chose a VERY interesting way to interpret that thought into our heads. In the other world, there is another you fighting and enduring your pain. When your chest hurts, someone endures more than your pain, because they worry about you. They feel more stronger, and they want to do anything for you even thought they think it's helpless. This is a message that got through me from the first episode of this anime, and I've kept positive about it and only doubted it a few times bc of its strangeness of the 'other world.'
If I talk anymore, I'm afraid I'll spoiler you meanings that you have to find yourself; this anime is a hidden gem in MAL, and it's definitely a must-watch. Focus on this anime, but I don't advice you to watch it if your mood gets changed a little bit too fast.
I know I rated it '7', and no it's not because it only contains 8 episodes. In fact, I personally agree that 8 episodes is enough and anymore will have the series dragging and dragging non-stop. I didn't give it a 10 bc sometimes the characters were too much to handle and the mood swings didn't quite work out for me.
Overall, it was still a good-worthy series to watch.

If you're looking for a short, typical romance story based in the nobility era, then you're at the right place. The story takes place in a Western, European country knows as Galleria, it is about a girl named Dahlia Barton who's a dress maker with a good reputation, even though she's a low class. It's a quiet average story, where the "honeybee earl" (who's a woman woo) saves her from soldiers, who tried to arrest her for forgetting to take off pins from a dress, and therefore resulted in injuring Maylynn's wrist. (A high class)
The art is great, I quiet enjoyed looking at
...
the characters and their dresses, so I give it a 9.
As for characters, they were the typical usual ones, but nonetheless, bearable unlike douches with crybabies. I was pretty much grateful they didn't turn out to be that way, and I AM glad about it.
I guess I did enjoy the one-shot, and it is a good thing it's only a 'one'-shot otherwise the manga would have totally dragged on. Overall, I give it a 7. It's pretty enjoyable, so I recommend it!

Suits no Kuni no Mahoutsukai (or just Suits no Kuni) is a one-shot that deserves longer chapters; 4, 5 chapters or so at least. Overall, I was pretty much satisfied by the ending, so I didn't mind it as a one-shot.
The story is about a salary man who visits a foreign country for business. I think this is pretty much the first manga I read which contains iPad and iPhones, and believe me, they got a major role in here. Even though the contrast is signed, Miyaji Rintaro doesn't seem to be at ease, ESPECIALLY when he is attacked by a girl!
The characters are
...
quiet fine, the boy is realistic (thank god he isn't a douche jerk prince like the trend now), and the girl is someone who knows nothing about technology; I won't spoiler you so read to find out about them all. :D
The art is great, don't worry. I enjoyed it all the way but I hoped for the relationship to progress or if they'd at least showed us more 'specific' details, but oh well, it was still good in the end.
If you're bored, I recommend it to you. Even if you're not, I STILL recommend it to you.

What if your best friend is someone so beautiful and charming, whilst you are an average person? What if that best friend has a strong charisma, beautiful eyes, hair, and spirit? How would you feel like if that very best friend dates the one you're in love with? Jealousy. That's how you'd feel.
This story follows two best friends, Yoshika and Yukina who are so close to each other. Yukina is the beauty princess which Yoshika envies so much, especially since she dates the man Yoshika loves; but what do you think will happen when a demon in a cat form appears in front of
...
Yoshika?
The art in the manga is good, except that it's a little bit too dark. Maybe the artist did that on purpose since the one-shot contains deep darkness, but overall, it's still good.
I give the series a 7 since it's a worth-while read. It didn't disappoint me nor waste my time with ridiculous shenanigans and no sense romance.
