A wonderful 98 minute experience this is, Sakasama no Patema is great piece of work if not a masterpiece.
*CONTAINS PLOT SPOILERS*
This movie takes place in a world where gravity acts in two opposite ways. The place where gravity acts in one direction is given the name Aiga. Aiga is a seemingly normal world by our standards and has a dictatorship government. There are strict laws and everyone has to abide by them. This is where our protagonist is from who is known by his name Eiji.
On the other hand, the place where gravity works in the opposite way is Patema's world. This place is
...
a sort of free land where people are not strictly bound by laws.
Long ago a gravity related experiment was carried out. The experiment was a total failure which angered mother earth. Gravity went haywire and the place where the experiment was carried out and the people who lived there started to experience a repulsive force from the earth towards the sky. Many people lost their lives and few survived.
Sakasama no Patema revolves around the interactions between Eiji and Patema. Two young people from different worlds.
Sakasama no Patema has a wonderfully told out story. The whole inverse gravity concept is interesting as it is and along with perfect execution it becomes even more splendid. Throughout the movie many clues are given which, by the end, all add up to give a great ending. Both Eiji and Patema's worlds are well explained till the end and their personalities also develop because of their respective environments.
Patema is a cute and curious young girl who almost experiences the phrase "curiosity killed the cat" firsthand when she "falls" towards the sky after wandering around too much. She is an adventure loving girl and when it comes to exploring new places none can stop her. When she falls down, Patema enters Eiji's world and he just happens to be close by at the time.
Eiji is a high school student who has his fair share of grievances from the government. A young boy he is, Eiji does what he feels is right and mostly remains undeterred. He even goes as far as to go against the law whether it is simply staring into the sky or saving Patema from evil hands.
When it comes to the antagonists, they are your typical "want to take over the world" type. The main bad guy is the ruler of Aiga. He is a cold hearted man and believes he is always right. This twisted guy's decisions bring our protagonists closer to each other. He, along with his predecessing governments, have brainwashed the citizens into believing that the people of Aiga are the supreme beings and those inverted are sinners.
This messed up thought leads him to send his henchmen to capture Patema. Our MC does everything he can think of to save Patema and when he can no longer do it alone, he still doesn't give up. When offered assistance by Patema's kinsmen, he readily accepts their offer.
Sakasama no Patema manages to capture the viewers attention through their unique story and great execution.
A great storyline is mostly a waste without good visuals. Sakasama no Patema does not dissappoint us in the artwork department. With stunning visuals, this movie manages to bring out the beauty of it's unique plot. The different camera angles provided throughout are a beauty. The way they focus on surrounding items, show their importance. It also brings the whole inverse gravity concept to life. They manage to show us how both characters view the two different gravity lands which makes us get to know their different experiences much better.
Along with their good story executed to perfection, Sakasama no Patema also manages to add some humor to make things more enjoyable and to keep the viewers interest. At no point does this added humor feel out of place or unwanted. These lighthearted comedy scenes are quite well done and successfully manage to incite laughter.
From start to end this movie remains interesting and enjoyable. Sakasama no Patema may not be the best of the best, but in all sincerity it is truly one worth watching.

Life is full of choices. You make different choices everyday. For example, at the end of this review you will choose whether this review was helpful or not. Or you would skip that and choose whether to watch this anime or not. Similarly, Amakusa Kanade, the protagonist of Noucome, also faces choices to make everyday but the options he has to choose from are kinda twisted.
"My Mental Choices are Completely Interfering with my School Romantic Comedy" (this name is pretty long so I'll refer to it by it's shorter name Noucome) is about a young second year high school student Amakusa Kannade who, despite his
...
relatively good looks, is considered a weirdo in his school. The reason is the plot of this anime. Amakusa has a curse which he named 'Absolute Choice'. Due to this curse, at any random moment a few choices will pop up in front of him. These choices are almost always ridiculous and eventually lead to situations where Amakusa makes a fool of himself. One of these choices made a blonde girl fall from the sky to help him with his curse. Around that time, he got a phone call from God (seriously, the caller id said God or Kami) who said he would help him get rid of the curse. This is where all the comedy really starts. Let me tell the plot in a different way, Noucome is the story of young high school boy's life made miserable with the interference of some Gods.
Noucome is a comedy anime with a little ecchi. Although MAL does not categorize it as ecchi, it has scenes which could make it an ecchi anime. The story is well planned. It is made of random events leading to a single goal i.e Amakusa getting rid of his curse. This style is similar to that of another anime, B Gata H Kei, in which all of Yamada's actions were leading to a single goal, having sex (i'm sure most ecchi watchers know of this anime). Some might think that the comedy in Noucome is stupid and senseless, but it is this large amount of comedy which makes Noucome fun to watch. Every episode is loaded with funny scenes which are sure to give you a good laugh. One thing worth mentioning here is that Noucome is your typical harem anime with a boy surrounded by girls who eventually fall in love with him. So don't expect uniqueness in terms of harem here. However, the unique storyline and loads of comedy make this anime awesome.
Character building in Noucome is perfect. As the series progresses, you get to know more about the characters. Everything you need to know about the characters is told or shown so you get to know the characters much better. Every character has its own unique and funny personality. All characters, both major and minor, are there to give you a good laugh. The artwork is pretty good. The characters are well made. There's not much to talk about here as almost all animes nowadays have pretty much the same type of artwork. The voice acting is also well done the voices fit the characters perfectly. The OP and ED songs are pretty nice and fun to listen.
Noucome is a great and fun anime. It's 10 episodes of pure comedy combined with a good story. Once you start watching it, I'm sure you'll want to complete it. It's sure to give you a good laugh.
Well that's pretty much it. I know it's not perfect but it's all I could do. Let me know what you think of it and if there are any suggestions you would like to give, feel free to do so. Thank you for reading! I hope my review was helpful (^-^).

Before I start officially start this review, let me make one thing clear. Love Lab is a full-time comedy anime. Those who don't like comedy, please stay away from this anime. Don't go around giving Love Lab a low score. It will stop those comedy lovers out there from watching Love Lab. On with the review.
Up till now thousands of animes have been released and among these animes we have Love Lab. A small 13 episode comedy anime. Now, what is the plot in Love Lab? Well, it is about the members of the student council in an all girls middle school. The funny part
...
of the plot is that these young girls are secretly doing some 'research' on how to make boys fall for them despite the fact that none of these girls has had any sort of love experience with any boy.
Let's talk about the story in Love Lab. As you might know that many comedy animes don't have a proper story and they rely mostly on unlinked episodes with loads of funny scenes. This is not the case in Love Lab. There is actually a well built story here. You know those animes with good stories where you can tell how it will end halfway through? Well the best thing about this particular anime is that it won't turn out as you think it would. Apart from being well planned, the way the story progresses is totally unpredictable. You will find instances in this anime where you would think of an obvious ending, but it won't end that way. Some characters starting off as antagonists will quickly change to the protagonist and give a whole different view of how things will end. To start off Love Lab, a great introduction to the characters was given so that you know what kind of people you will face. The story progresses quite beautifully. They bring about unexpected events and don't go according to what you think. The story doesn't go the expected way. It felt nice to just go where the story took you and not being able to see the ending beforehand. The ending this anime gave was by far the best ending to an anime I have seen till now. The ending really brought me to tears. They gave it an obvious ending which most won't expect.
Coming to the artwork and sound. It's what you would expect from an anime released in 2013, pretty decent. The artwork is not boring as to make you want to drop this anime. It is pretty neat.
Every anime along with a good storyline should also have well developed characters in order to stay interesting. The way they portray the characters is worth praise here. Unlike some animes, the number of characters was kept low. Some extra characters were added only for the purpose of adding some more comedy to the already funny anime and they had no role in the progress of the story. We are introduced to 5 main characters who are members of the student council.
First off we have Maki Natsuo, the vice-president (later president) of the student council. She is a pretty and talented girl who is top in her class. The problem (and main source of comedy) is that she has had no interaction with boys and wants to. She started 'love research' after caught kissing huggy (a large pillow) as practice. She was caught by our next character, Riko Kurahashi. Assistant of the president, Riko is sort of a tomboy and told a lie that started to haunt her every time love research was brought up. Then there is Suzune, a first year middle schooler. She is a clumsy little girl and her clumsiness is one of the main sources of comedy. Then there is Yukio Enomoto, the president (later vice-president) of the council. We also have Sayo, the treasurer. She has a sort of sadistic personality and is the only one who doubts Riko but still plays along. The weird personalities of these characters and their somewhat stupid actions is what makes Love Lab enjoyable.
Love Lab is a brilliant anime. It's hard to tell how good an anime is in words or without spoilers. If you want a good laugh, you might as well give Love Lab a shot. You are sure to enjoy it.
I hope this review was good. Please do comment and give any suggestions on how I could make my review better. :-)

Servant x Service
Servant x Service is about 3 newcomers and 2 of their seniors working as civil servants. Here we have the 3 newcomers who are kinda weird. We have Hasebe, a smart guy who is always slacking off and getting the email addresses of girls for no reason, Miyoshi, a young woman who is shy, and lastly, Lucy Kimiko Akie Airi Shiori Rinne Yoshiho Ayano Tomika Chitose Sanae Mikiko Ichika... Yamagami, a young woman with a ridiculously long name who plans to take revenge by saying 'something' to the guy responsible for her having this long name. Then we have their fellow senior coworker,
...
Chihaya, a cosplay lover, and their supervisor Ichimya, who thinks of himself as a big failure in almost everything. Servant x Service is all about the weird and funny worklife of these funny characters.
Well, moving on. This series is one of the best in the department of comedy. A brilliant piece of work, I must say. The beautiful artwork along with fabulous comedy made this anime simply great. If you want a great story, you might be disappointed because this particular anime doesn't have those great stories found in many animes. But once you start watching this, it won't be long before you find out that there is no need for a great storyline here. This anime is perfect just the way it is. I'm not saying that animes with a good story are bad or anything, Servant x Service could be much better with a good story but it's also fun to watch without those great fancy storylines. They did keep the events sort of in sequence and in the end, used those things to give the series a good ending.
Servant x Service is a great and fun to watch anime. It's just loaded with comedy. No scene was left to get too serious. Every scene was made funny one way or the other. A splendid job was done in keeping the mood light and funny. Even in scenes where characters were tense, depressed or serious, something was thrown in to keep things less serious and more funny. The amount of comedy this anime has is what makes it great.
Enjoying an anime clearly depends on how you look at it. If you ask me, I just loved almost everything about this anime. If you are a comedy lover, Servant x Service won't disappoint you. :-)

Needless
This anime is about the aftermath of a World War 3. A bomb was dropped on Tokyo city and as a result, some people gained strange powers like controlling fire or water or having great speed or strength and stuff like that (much similar to that in Sekirei). These people were given the name Needless (which is also the anime's title if you hadn't noticed). This anime is a perfect combination of action and comedy together with time to time ecchi.
The story in this anime is quite good. It's basically about a group of Needless fighting another group which is oppressing them. The story has
...
progressed quite well. From start to end everything is in perfect order. They gave a pretty decent introduction as to what is happening and also gave a satisfying ending to the story which sort of ends the possibility that the anime will get a second season and continue with the manga. Anyway, it really won't matter that much when you finish the anime.
Voice acting done was pretty decent. It wasn't like they were doing it on gunpoint or anything. It was pretty good. The artwork was also well done. It was well done and matched the sheer violence this anime had to offer. The way the action scenes were shown was also quite good.
All the characters in Needless had perfect roles in the anime's story. All introduced characters had perfect and important roles in the story. Along with a role in the story, all characters had something funny happen to them which was very well done and these scenes decreased the overall seriousness which most animes of the action genre have. This anime is one of the best animes I have seen yet. I enjoyed every part of it. It's just full of comedy. Whenever a scene got too serious or emotional, something funny was thrown in to lighten up things. Even the finale, which is supposed to be a very serious and/or emotional episode, also had comical scenes around every corner. A scene did not go too long without some comical scene in it.
Needless is a great anime. The violence might be too bloody but the excess comedy more than makes up for that. The way bloody violence and comedy have been mixed in this anime has made it quite different from the rest where most action animes are often serious. This great combination of action and comedy is what makes this anime awesome.
I am open to suggestions. Feel free :-)

Baka and Test
This anime is about a group of not so bright students studying in a school which divides students into classes according to their grades. Students there have the ability to summon avatars (as said in the English dub version) and they fight each other in ST wars. Seems weird to me. At first I did not know what to expect from this anime because I found it's story kind of weird. I thought this would be some stupid anime. But when I started watching it, I discovered that this anime was just extremely hilarious. The anime is considered ecchi but it's not overflowing
...
with fanservice. It's mainly a comedy with a touch of ecchi and a little action to keep it going.
The story in Baka and Test is well made. I'm the kind of guy who prefers animes with a well made story and this anime had just that. You might realize this towards the end where they continue from where they left before. Things in one episode were mostly linked to the next. It wasn't random like Rosario + Vampire in which things in one episode are mostly forgotten in the next. Almost nothing was left off here. This anime has a great story in one comical package. The way they made one joke somewhere in the anime and used it later, was a good way to make the series great.
The voice acting was great. I watched the English dubbed version and it was just awesome. Their voices really fit their characters. The art work was good. The characters were well made. Nothing too awesome done here. However, the avatars sort of reminded me of Heaven's Lost Property, the way they made the avatars miniature sized was a good thing.
Each character in this anime played a part in making the story progress and also more funny. For example, our main guy, Akihisa, his idiocy is one of the major sources of comedy throughout the series. His lack of understanding the situation is what mostly leads to many comical situations.
As far as enjoyment is concerned, this is by far the best anime I have seen till now. The great amount of comedy this anime has along with the little fanservice and action this anime shows is what makes this anime so enjoyable.
Baka and Test is a brilliant anime series and is fun to watch. I would suggest that you watch it. If you do, make sure you watch the next season. It has the same brilliance this has.
I hope I did well for my first review :-).
