I know, of course, this show is a hot topic for a lot of people, I know what sparked it, but I'm here just to evaluate things objectively. That's why I won't go into the manga, because that's just not my job and it's not my area.
I personally liked this series, but objectively I have to say that it is neither fish nor flesh.
Because she almost changes genres from episode to episode and after his first mega shocker in episode 1 she doesn't really put much on the table anymore.
The fact that all the characters we get to know at the beginning are killed and
...
raped immediately is more than shocking and violent, but actually exactly the breaking of the status quo that we need not only in the anime sector, but also in other media.
Especially since there is hardly any difference to other characters and character drawings. It's like watching the first Harry Potter film and after 60 minutes of the film all the characters die and the rest of the series continues with just Hermione and Professor Snape.
Many clouds have quite an emotional whiplash that can be distracting for some people, especially when it comes to some of the supporting characters and performances. Any episodes that really have anything narrative to offer are just 1, 2, A Flashback, any episode that you can call brutal could classify would be 1, 2, 6 and maybe the last one. If at all.
The accusation that the goblins are supposed to be caricatures of Jews is pretty far-fetched and makes no sense. But a bigger complaint about the anime is the lack of back story. I would love it if all the characters had a decent backstory or at least you could learn more about their past, because I like that none of them have a name . Everyone is only addressed by their title or profession. You don't learn much about the world either, you hear some theories and legends but that's exactly what helps the world building. You can piece together a lot about yourself, and that leaves something to fantasize about. But since all the characters are written in such a monotonous and one-dimensional way, it would be all the better. If we find out reasons why they are the way they are, because they don't have much to say anyway.
Mainly, I like being played with the viewer's expectations here and there. As for Chekhov's gun, I mean that in both a positive and negative way.
But now it's about the whole thing, first of all, that the series starts out so dark, violent and brutal, I think it's good to establish the world perfectly and to show how dangerous it is, but unfortunately it never comes back. So so clearly in the series to the language.
I like that the Goblin Slayer is relatively anti-social and doesn't get along with human social interaction. Sure. It just suits the character. Unfortunately not much is done with it that he doesn't get character development or that the other people get development.
I like that the Goblin Slayer made a name for himself through his deeds, but it doesn't make it clear. Whether he really deserves the name or how it is received
I also didn't understand all the scenes on the farm, whether he now has a family or not, whether he's only there. To keep people company or not Apparently he's pretty passive because he doesn't take his helmet off, but on the other hand he has no problem taking his helmet off to show his face.
I like that we as viewers never see his face until the end of the series even though there are only 2 scenes in the whole anime where he. What is unmasked is that it is such an obvious little thing as something big. High praise simply shows what a bad to active path is being taken these days. Because a lot of multi million dollar franchises can't do that anymore.
I like the little harem approach, so obviously multiple women have a crush on the Goblin Slayer. However, I'd like to know if he's noticing or just ignoring it. It would be helpful to know if you care at all. I like that neither the title nor the opening credits appear in episode 1. Which is more likely. There's so much more that stands out in the rest of the series. But it's such a trivial montage of a lot of things that may or may not have anything to do with the show.
Basically a Shaggy Dog Story. But a pretty good one.

A series that is very difficult to recommend because it. They throw their potential away in the first few minutes.
So I mean it creates a button there. However, the premise is that our main character, Jammer, wants to sleep with 100 guys.
But every beginning is hard, so you want to lose your virginity to a guy first? To do this, she first selects the perfect guy and that's what the first half of the anime focuses on until she finds the guy. Then it must be forever before she sleeps with him too? What she doesn't really understand until the end of episode 12.
That means,
...
at the end of the day, it's your typical romantic comedy again. Which in itself isn't bad at all, just. I find the concept so much more interesting and it would have been more interesting and most importantly more unique if they had focused on that. So this series didn't just promise fish and deliver meat. They also focused on the most boring part of the meat. This is the bone. And the fat.
Or rather, they swapped a Ferrari for a bike, if that allegory makes more sense. But what I find sadder is that all of the supporting characters are just much more interesting to us than our protagonist, apart from the little angel that keeps appearing on Jammer's shoulder. It was funny at first, but gets on your nerves very quickly. The fourth wall, fractions and the metahumor are the things that really got me hooked but stopped after 3 episodes right. I can't remember anything that quickly. I wasn't expecting humor from the whole of Deadpool, but at least for a romantic comedy, a few more jokes because they didn't even try to joke much, which isn't bad. This can also be overdone. Where But I honestly don't know what you were focusing on, because sometimes it's erotic, sometimes it's funny, sometimes it's teen drama again, moderate and every now and then, the following ones are melodramatic though. And that makes the series a little bit of everything, but not really more. I'd still say it's a comedy at the end of the day. But I still find it very difficult to find arguments as to why.
My positives are however. Also to note, firstly I found the best friend super interesting and I wish she was the protagonist, secondly I like that she has a boyfriend throughout the series with whom she has a special, stable relationship that also doesn't involve any unnecessary drama only allows for a nice, good, healthy relationship in the end.
It's easy. It's nice to see that monogamy still reigns there and that not everyone is after the main characters. The other cliche characters with the special one are the shy girl who doesn't dare to admit her love or the one exchange student who has a crush on her brother. All this leads to nothing and very quickly. You can tell the air is out. What do I like? Because with the clichéd course from the first episodes, I'm good that you didn't go down this path as well, because that would have made the series a lot more exhausting and only inflated the melodrama unnecessarily.
Last but not least, I praise the music and the ingenious German dubbing. I don't know about the other versions but I want to listen to them. I only occasionally rolled on the floor laughing because of the German voice actors and that's not easy for me.
The ecchi aspect is actually quite good, you don't see too much but still enough for everyone to know this is an ecchi. Except for the last 2 episodes, if I didn't know better. I'm sure I'm watching hentai right now.
Worst of all is a shame that personality Yamada I know you can be funny but at times I found it super exhausting and I also asked myself a lot bro why are you with that bitch? Because she's a lousy friend and an even worse girlfriend. Acts so disrespectful to everyone sometimes, she's just bitching. She criticizes everything and everyone and she's such a cockteas all the time But when it comes down to it, she immediately pulls back all the guns. And reacts with rejection and aggression.

Actually, I don't like romantic comedies at all and I'm oversaturated with school. Still, I jerked myself because the preview looked promising, and now I know that was the right decision.
If you go in the direction of fiction, you should at least write the characters and their behavior realistically/plausibly so that the rest is just pretty fun.
I also like that the story does not jump back and forth but always leads to the next with its plot points and ideas leads to the next piece of the puzzle which is inserted into the previous one and completes the picture.
The body swap concept is nothing new
...
and everyone had the desire to swap with the best of the class to get better grades, or with the strongest to finally beat up the bullys. But these ideas are unsuitable for very long storytelling. I am pleased that they are picked up just long enough to get to the next story, than the next story, than the next story etc. They always go one step further to surprise you, yet you understand how everything is connected.
Despite the very obvious titles, the concept of the other witches and their abilities surprised me only in a positive sense.
And I'm really surprised that I really liked the romance aspect. I really wanted to see how the two main characters come together and I was really interested in whether Yamada confesses her feelings.
And everyone who was in love with a classmate can understand many situations and decisions that were made here first of all and I like that the most. Everything is understandable.
In addition, no information is hammered into us like a hammer, but some little things remain open because you can decipher them yourself with enough brain cells anyway and no episode is wasted on answering these questions
PS: I don't know if it's just a question of dub but I love the film references.
