"It's as if I'm fighting with my past self over the person called Tada Banri."
Golden Time.
What a wonderful series. It was such a wonderful experience. There are countless anime where the story is set in school, but there's only a few that are set in college/ universities. Golden Time is one of those. And it's somewhat different from the general animes.
At first, I thought it gonna be a basic drama. However, once I started the show, I couldn't drop it. The supernatural element, aka the Ghost of Banri, as one might be a bit odd, but I later found out it was taken from Japanese

belief.
Banri's story was simply magnificent. It was heartfelt. His struggle to understand what is happening, to discover about his past, to learn who he really is. Was something that I really liked. The whole story was remarkable from start to finish. It was emotional, funny, and heartwarming.
Kouko Kaga's character was great. At first, her character was annoying, but as the story progressed, I started to see more of what the character really has. Her characteristics are funny and emotional, too. Her wits and whims were so funny and sometimes saddening that all she wanted was to be good for Banri. Everyone dreams of having someone like Kouko, don't they?
Linda's character was also great, though I wish there were some choices that she hadn't made, but that was part of the story. Her character added the depth to the story, a pivotal character that helped the two Personas realize their place. The characters of Yana, Oka, and Nana were wonderful. Everyone needs friends like them. And 2D-kun was literally the best wingman anyone could've asked for. His character was quite underrated, not gonna lie. Though Yana and Linda's characters had a hint of progression, I felt sad for Oka. i, for the most part, thought Oka and Yana would end up together, but that just never happened. That just made me sad.
"The present is ending. Here, countless versions of our past selves are always crying, laughing, falling in love, getting hurt, joking around, feeling happy, and suffering. These feelings are born all the time, and in the next moment, they become the past and die. It's over now. This is the end, but the truth is that everyone's time is like that. Right after it's born, every moment becomes the past and dies."
I personally loved the ending. I just wish there was more of it! Wish there was more after that, I just felt empty after finishing the series. The ending was satisfying, not only that it was heartwarming. Kouko and Banri's relationship's development was done so greatly. At first, someone might have thought that Banri would ultimately end up with Linda again, but the norm was broken. He chose the one he loves. And frankly, those two are the best together, meant for each other as they say.
The feeling of emptiness after finishing the anime is something I can not describe. Binged watched the entire series without 24 hour-ish. It's totally worth it. Had a wonderful time while watching.
