I'm surprised that no one connected these two mangas since their situation is awfully similar. By that, I mean both male characters are reduced to cat form while the heroines have some sort of special spiritual abilities that the male characters want to steal through a kiss. These male leads rescue the heroines when they're caught in a bind. As the story progresses, both males express interest to the heroines, and later reveal a difficult past regarding their younger brothers and parents. In Tenchi Shimei, Rai is a lightning God in a cat's body. He was initially after Shio's spiritual powers because they can revert back to his human/god form through kissing and any form of intimate actions. Shio's role in the story, has a spiritual power where she can see the evil spirits, but after her encounter with Rai, she is able "heart" of the demons or other spiritual creatures. Regarding his younger sibling, his younger brother had destroyed his shrine because of his overwhelming hatred towards Rai. While in in Mugen Spiral, Ura is transformed into a cat by Yayoi's spiritual beads as a source of restriction from harming her. Unlike the heroine in Tenchi Shimei, Yayoi carries herself more independently and inherited spiritual powers just like her mother. On the other hand, Ura is a self-absorbed and tenacious demon with lightning power who wants Yayoi's powers to become the demon king in place of his sick father. Regarding his younger sibling, the brothers fight for the next demon king heir. Both stories make for a good read, however Tenchi Shinmei is unfinished (for translated versions) while Mugen Spiral is complete. Also, in my opinion, I found the latter to be more of a comedy romance.

Completely same story plot. If you love Zettai Heiwa Daiskusen, then you'll definitely fall in love with Usotsuki Engage. Both male and female protagonists are set into a political marriage which will result the end of their country's war. Both female protagonists are often mocked for their lack of chest volume as well, but both are just as stubborn and are strong willed. They are both the first to make the move to try and protect their husbands. In terms of the male protagonist, Usotsuki Engage's male, is more expressive of his protectiveness of his wife by the second chapter. The only difference is that Usotsuki Engage's female protagonist has the ability to see the future.

Both revolve about a couple who are tied to death. They're not accustomed to each other at first, and learn to love each other by the end of their lifespan. The only difference is that, Shinigami Lovers's male protagonist is the shinigami and it is the female protagonist who has to die while Half & Half's male and female protagonists undergo a situation in which one of them must die by the end of their 7 days living on Earth.

Hatsukoi Wazurai

The moment, I read Hatsukoi Wazurai, Watashi ni xx Shinasai popped into my head. Both heroines learn about love. While Yukina learns it for the sake of her stories, Hotaru genuinely wants to learn in order to "change." In both cases, the heroines learn through experience with a popular student. Eventually, the heroes of these tales both fall in love with the heroines. There's a huge significance to the pacing of the story. Watashi ni xx Shinasai can be dragging with how it's carried out, but each chapter provides at least one deep, meaningful lesson (plus the drawing is amazing!) and I guarantee that it will leave you wanting for more. Whereas Hatsukoi Wazurai is up-beat the moment you read the story. In just the first chapter, you can already see a relationship blooming between the protagonists. Watashi ni xx Shinasai takes a dark turn after reading the first 10 chapters of the story. It gets pretty intense, once you're engrossed with the story. All the more, it makes the story interesting and unique. It's one of the best mangas to portray the meaning of "love" in multiple aspects. So if you enjoyed reading Hatsukoi Wazurai, then you will definitely love Watashi ni xx Shinasai.
