Just an all around "fun" manga to read. Right from the first chapter, you're thrown into a sort of confusing "should he really be doing this" type of experience. The main character, Suekichi is presented with a very "weird" and "random" girl who seemingly just wants him for his newly found (but can't quite get) family inheritance. So, let's roll out what I thought of it all.
Story:
Suekichi's grandfather passes away and he is left with the "future possibility" of claiming 450 billion yen if he graduates from college. But wait, Aya, a girl whom he finds lying next to him after his grandfather's funeral seems
...
to want this money for herself. Can having sex with Suekichi really win him over that easily, or is there more to what she feels for him?
The story is funny, it's not very predictable, and there's a pleasant ending.
Art:
Really old school artwork. I didn't like it a lot, but not a lot to complain about.
Character:
Picture yourself in college. Suekichi is basically any ordinary guy that's trying to make his way in the world. The girls aren't stupid, and it's not a "we all love Suekichi show", so you'll probably like most of the characters.
Enjoyment:
Very enjoyable. Not really much more I could have asked for. You'll laugh a lot, and you'll ask yourself a few questions about what you'd do in certain situations.
Overall:
Give it a read. If you like comedy, nudity (sex scenes), and a good plot, you won't be disappointed.

Alright, first let me say that, the manga is infinitely better than the anime. INFINITELY. But, with that being said, I believe the manga should have ended at chapter 58/59. After that, it's just a crapload of "yeah-right" and "ooookay" and "bullshit". Seriously, I hated the second half of the story. However, the first half was so ridiculously good, that I just couldn't give the manga a bad score.
With that being said, on to the details.
Story
Brilliant. I can't think of anything else that has even come close to something like this. Entertaining, smart, and keeps you on the edge of your seat. You'll want to
...
read the chapter after chapter to find out what happens next.
Art
Looks good to me. Figures are drawn well and the females were good looking.
Character
By far, the best part of this show. The characters were...alive. You felt like you really "knew" the people. Almost like reading a book there was so much detail. There aren't any that follow a typical "stupid" or "cliche" trademark either. Thank god.
Enjoyment
Well, as I said, I didn't enjoy the second half of the story. After the first half, my enjoyment level plummeted. Read the second half, if only just to say you have.
Overall
Do yourself a favor and stop after chapter 57-59. You'll enjoy the manga a lot more and probably be happy with a well thought out ending (as opposed to the chapter 108 thrown together ending).

Interested in a quick 24 chapter show that'll make you laugh and also throw some happy romance at you? Check out Lilim Kiss. The plot isn't anything crazy, or intricate, but it's just enough to keep you interested.
Story
Basically, we have a vampire-like girl that who has the power to suck the life-force out of people by kissing them. So, said girl meets a guy, guy is pretty awesome, commence ironic situations. :D
Art
Very sexy women. No complaints
Character
Somewhat cliche, but eh, nothing that gets you angry. None of the people do anything so stupid that you hate them either.
...
Enjoyment
Quite funny at times, and also a little sad. Definitely more happy than sad though, so no worries about reading a downer.
Overall
Check it out if you're looking for a short ecchi, comedy, romance show. You won't be disappointed.

Looking for a quick 12 episode show to watch? Paradise Kiss is just for you. Sure, it\'s a little more for the "Shojo" audience, but it has plenty of stuff to keep any guy entertained. So, what\'d I think about it?
Story
Meet Caroline, the girl who doesn\'t really know what she\'s doing with her life. She happens upon a group of college students that need her to be their fashion model. Interesting premise, and doesn\'t sound too farfetched from what might happen in real life. Good ending that actually makes some sense too.
Art
A little funny looking at times, but the art is definitely nice. Sexy looking
...
females. Thumbs up from me.
Sound
Awesome opening (freakin\' awesome) and great ending theme (U.S. band). Can\'t see how you wouldn\'t like the music throughout the anime.
Character
Caroline x George are definitely my favorite characters. Great personalities from each of them and the story really makes you understand why they are the way they are.
Enjoyment
Enjoyable, quick, and happy. 12 episodes of some laughter and some teary scenes.
Basically, you can\'t go wrong with this anime. If you\'re into romance (not some angst crap though), and you like non-stupid anime, check this out.

Ater taking nearly 4 months to complete, this show finally got the last episode subtitled. So, what were my thoughts?
Story
The story started off great. Four guys need money to pay rent, so their landlord asks them to "turn this crazy girl into an actual lady". Eh, not an amazing story, but sounds funny. I'd probably have given it more than a 6 if it actually went anywhere. But, it didn't really progress, nor did we get to see much happen from the start until the end.
Art
Prepare to be swamped by constant chibi characters. Odd models and bland scenes..the art is something to be desired.
Sound
Nothing special.
...
The opening and ending didn't stand out to me, nor did any background music. Could have been a lot better.
Character
The saving grace for this show. Without the male lead and the female lead, this anime would have sucked. I enjoyed learning a little bit about each character's past. I wouldn't say any character really evolves though, as they're pretty much static throughout. I guess the female lead changes a bit (doesn't she have to?).
Enjoyment
Funny, happy, I had a good time watching this. There are tons of "worthless" episodes that don't progress the flow of the story at all, but whatever.
Overall
If you're looking for a brainless anime that will make you chuckle every so often, check this out. There's better out there though.

First, I feel I need to mention something that I think a lot of people have overlooked with this show. Planetes has romance. Quite of bit of romance in fact. It's packed full of drama and action along with that too. So, drama, action and romance. What more could you ask for (yeah, boobs, I know)?
With that being said, on with the review.
Story: Planetes starts off rather slow. In fact, the "main" story doesn't even really pick up until about episode 10 or so. Before that, you're introduced to character personalities and dreams/motives. This is absolutely necessary though, because without this strong intro, the latter
...
part of the show wouldn't have had nearly the same kind of effect.
Animation: The animiation is pretty well done. CGI is used in quite a few scenes and I didn't notice any problems. My only beef is that I didn't fall in love with the character designs too much. They're good, but I think a few characters got shafted.
Sound: Probably the most lacking area in the series in my opinion. The intro is decent, but hardly anything special. The background music throughout the show is bland and never really stands out. The only music that ever really caught my attention was the ending theme, and it's not wonderful either. I should mention that the Seiyuu's did an excellent job though.
Character: Characters are definitely the biggest plus to Planetes. Hachimaki and Ai are excellent leading characters. The other crew members are nearly equally as interesting as them too. Everyone, like most shows, has their own problems and own ambitions. Planetes does a great job at detailing each character.
Enjoyment: Took me 4 days to complete the show (could have done it sooner if school wasn't taking my time). 26 eps in 4 days usually constitutes hard core enjoyable watching. :) This is a feel good Anime (well, most of it is at least), so what's not to enjoy?
Overall: This needs to become more popular! It deserves better than only a couple hundreds watchers. Take the time and watch it.

Let me try my best to make this review short and to the point.
First, Bokura ga Ita is drama. Drama, drama, drama. If you don't want to watch a couple go over countless drama scenarios over and over and over, then don't bother with this show.
Second, and this might be a slight spoiler, but if you like one of the male leads more than the other, this will make or break the series for you. The male lead that I liked a lot didn't win out in the end, so naturally, I'm a little bitter (okay, more than a little).
Third, don't expect real
...
life situations or problems. I don't believe Nanami or Yano handled a lot of their situations like a normal couple would. I'm definitely no expert on relationships, but sometimes you know how things would have happen. It's TV folks, expect some "Ooooookay" scenes.
And as for my last point. The series was good enough to watch, but not good enough to warrant a "go see it now" from me. As I said, I was dissatisfied with the Anime ending, so I will most likely pick up the manga to see where it leads. Judging by my desire to read the manga after watching of the Anime, I should think that says it did well enough to see. á

First, let me say that I saw this entire show in a period of 3 days. So, that in itself says something about how enjoyable it was. If I wasn't having a good time watching it, then I wouldn't have bothered doing 12 episodes in one day. :)
The story is pretty well done. It basically traverses through Satou's rough life as a hikikomori and his various means to combat it. There are a few episodes that I had issues with, as they were quite "okay...this is really cheesy". But, overall, the episodes went well with the life of someone who is afraid to go outside
...
or be in large crowds.
Animation is top notch. Absolutely no qualms with anything in this department.
The music was probably the best part about this show. Great opening and decent ending. The background music and "main theme" were awesome too. I'm pretty sure I'll end up grabbing the soundtrack for this series. Very catchy tunes.
The characters...were well explained I think. There were a lot of gaps in my opinion though as quite a few things are left out in the open throughout the show. We don't learn much of anything in detail about the cast either. We learn plenty about Satou and such, but I think they could have done better with "reasons" and stuff like that.
2nd thing I loved about this show was the comedy. Freakin' hilarious scenes everywhere. Satou and Yamakazi are great together and will have you rolling on the floor laughing countless times. The jokes are original and none of that lame crap that "younger audience" anime titles might throw at you.
Overall, very good series. The ending was well done too (though it left me wanting a bit). Pick this up, you'll have fun with it.

Welcome back Rock, Revy and the gang! In this second installment of Black Lagoon, we continue our journey through Roanapur, the city of criminals.
It's somewhat sad, but I have to begin with a dissatisfied distaste in my mouth after finishing this season. What's so sad about it? Well, for one thing, the story.
I wonder if they simply wrote down a whole bunch of plot ideas on paper, crumbled them up in a ball, put them in a hat and drew at random. Boom, just like that, they came up with two, ridiculously stupid story lines to encompass 12 episodes. Each is so far fetched that
...
you can't help but feel like you're watching a terrible D rated movie. Nothing is realistic (not even close), and nothing is even attempted to be explained to you. Flat out horrible.
On the other hand, the animation for these terrible plots was well done. Revy looks great, Rock is his pansy self, and Dutch is still black. Fights are fluid, but who cares with what they gave you to watch.
The music, as far as I can tell, is the same thing from the first season. I can't recall if the opening is different, but it's well done. The ED is slow, tacky, and I skipped it every time. Background music throughout the show is alright, but nothing worth buying.
Let's move on to the characters and their interactions...oh wait, nothing happened. We find out next to nothing else about Rock and Revy. Well wait, we know Rock used to live in Japan now. WOW! 12 episodes and it feels like they've told us nothing more about the characters except one used to live in Japan! Yay?
I'll admit, I enjoyed the season, because who doesn't enjoy seeing Revy kick ass? But seriously, it was a huge let down and I probably won't watch it again. They could have done sooo much more with the characters, their background, and possibly maybe...just maybe throw in a relationship?
Try it out, watch it if you saw the fist season, but don't expect much other than an average anime.
Oh yeah, perhaps one highlight was the nudity they threw in. Yay for dirty animators?

First, let me point out the fact that if you don't like crude humor, don't bother watching Suna Bouzu (Desert Punk). This anime is filled with perverted, ecchi, and all around hilariously funny jokes (which may or may not offend some people). Don't let the comedy be the deciding factor though, as this show has some great action scenes. Kanta seems like an original Joe Blow, and quite the idiot at times, but when the going gets tough, he pulls through with some miraculous skills and finesse.
The story lacks a little somewhat through the middle of the series, but picks up a lot towards the
...
end. Animation isn't top notch but it's plenty good to enjoy. The music is fun and suits the action sequences well (though it isn't anything memorable).
The characters are by far the biggest attraction to Suna Bouzu. Kanta is the most perverted guy on the planet and it's rolling on the floor funny. Kosuna (his apprentice girl) has quite a few great moments too.
For the most part, this is a happy "feel good" series. You'll enjoy the time you spend with it, and you'll enjoy the laughter it brings you. Giving this series a 9 is without a doubt warranted on my part.
So, in conclusion, if you're not put off by insanely crude humor and ecchi jokes/scenes (the scenes aren't too terrible, nothing more than underwear at times), definitely give Desert Punk a try. The Japanese voice cast is amazing, so don't settle for English dubbed.
