Hey there!
-Before you read this review I'd like to mention that I am also up-to-date with the ongoing manga which this anime is based off of.
I guess you can say that Nisekoi right now is one of those mainstream anime because of the various heroines that star in the show with their somewhat diverse personalities and scenarios around them.
With that comes a lot of more or less equal hate and love of the story.
Honestly, I have no idea how this anime got a lot of the attention due to the story so it's most likely because of the " Moe-factor " or the grills. (
...
Who doesn't like all 'em grills am I right? )
But I'm not gonna judge just from the anime's take on it but the series as a whole which also includes where the anime adapts itself from which is the manga.
And having read the manga and anime. I can say that the story is so-so. With the story alone I don't think it would even survive this long. But in today's ocean of anime adaptations out there. I think that this anime really made the manga come to life. I proudly admit that having shaft produce Nisekoi was the best possible route the series could've taken. Having read the manga I can say that it was quite normal and boring. But after going through all those chapters and seeing it on screen moving in such a beautiful way was amazing.
I understand why this series got a mediocre score compared to the first season but I think if people read the manga and then watched how Shaft made this so-so story into a work of art, this anime would easily pass the 8+ score.

This is a review for both the first and second season. I admit that the second season did have a more redeeming feel and actual progression in the story. But the overall feeling I get from this anime is that it tried so hard to be everything and failed to be even something.
I get this is based on a Eroge PC Harem Game. But I think that when an anime tries to hard to be exactly like it's adaptation it loses the feel of being an anime.
This anime had so much potential. It had an artistic vibe, great soundtrack, somewhat interesting plot. But what it
...
lacked the most was direction. Sure people would have different preferences when it comes to who will be the chosen girl. But that's where it's aspect of trying to be like it's adaptation comes in. It didn't feel like an anime because it tried to go all over the place.
5/10
to summarize it up it had so much for it. It just lacked direction and it's identity as an anime and not as a game.

Bakuman was originally a manga which got turned into an anime which is about the main characters trying to get it big in the manga industry in order to get an anime to fulfill their dreams.
If you were to read what I just stated above, You wouldn't really feel any interest in wanting to watch it. I mean how can an anime with a combined episode count of over 70 be able to be that good? Well you're wrong. This anime manages to turn such a corny plot into something beautiful.
I write this review with the assumption that the reader has gone through the whole
...
series, meaning all 3 seasons.
To be honest, I was quite skeptical to start watching it because it really seemed like it wouldn't really go far with what it seemed like it had to offer. But I'm glad I was proven wrong.
The series is a bit unorthodox when compared to the majority of the entertainment that manga and anime have to offer. What I liked about the story is that even though it felt like it was revolving around the protagonists, they didn't give them all the glory that most protagonist get. the series comes with not just ups but also a lot of downs for the main characters. They really depict how the industry works and how hard it is to climb your way up it. For someone who has read a lot of manga and watched a lot of anime this story will really get to you. It allows you to appreciate anime and manga even more.
Even though the story was obviously predictable(Like of course they will make it big, of course he'll get the girl, of course they'll be number 1) it was really more of " It's about the journey not the destination ". And it really does have a really good lesson at the end.
I recommend it to an audience that has a bit more experience watching various anime and manga before watching it, because you'll really be able to feel the appreciation this anime will give you.

Guilty Crown. I just jumped straight into the anime not knowing anything about it. Pretty confusing too if you read the title. And realize that there isn't any crown to begin with. But that aside.
This was a pretty okay anime. They have such an amazing animation. The art-style was great. The transitions to back-stories and effect during a dream were really good. If you like colorful vivid anime, This would be one of my recommendations to you.
For the story, It was pretty vague of how they explained the premise of the anime. But not too vague to question everything. Sure there are some holes in
...
the plot but I think all anime do too. This anime won't go too deep into things but that's just because they didn't need to. But the one thing i loved most what they did with the main character was that they didn't mean to make it too generic. The protagonist or most protagonist in any action or adventure anime usually starts out weak or timid. And then progress to be an ultimate badass at the end. Like in this one too. But the transition and their take on it. Was pretty good. They actually showed emotion and meaning behind his actions and choices. The main character acutally had reasoning.
As for the music and soundtrack. My God. This Anime has a fucking amazing soundtrack. I'm pretty sure most of you guys skip the intro of anime after the first time you see it. But this Anime has one of the best intros, outros, songs. Just anything with a sound in it. This anime has got it. For all you sound whores there. This one is a great one.
Pretty good anime. Not too great all in all. But I'll recommend it. If you want an anime with good visual quality, a god-tier soundtrack and a story that will hit you in the feels

No Game No Life!
It is what the title says. It's pretty much an anime where if there isn't a game there would be no advancing anywhere.
To keep it short, This anime has a pretty unique feel to it. The story got me, the art work is pretty crisp and the characters have a genuine feel to.
The way it starts and how the anime goes through the story is really well made.
The only thing I would recommend before starting it is to actually put some time aside form your busy schedule because it is one of those anime that you would want to watch in
...
one sitting, considering the cliffhangers each episode. it really will leave you wanting more.
And my only regret after watching this anime is that I watched it the same year it was out, just as it finished. Cause I felt so empty and sad knowing that the second season isn't coming for a while.
Other than that this really is a good anime. If you want to take a break from the usual RomComs, Action, Supernatural. This is the anime for you.
10/10 - A worthy watch and will leave you thinking and wanting more.

This anime had a really good start. Great fight sequences. It had a unique premise. The main character had a pretty generic feel to it. But it felt so rushed towards the ending.
I haven't read the manga but my friends tell me that it's a lot better. They don't skip a lot of things. There are a lot more characters and it hasn't ended yet.
The show was good. They didn't make you feel like the story was one-sided like most animes. It wasn't the heroes it wasn't the villains. They were just fighting for what they knew was right. The series did get annoying every
...
now and then when they had to describe everything and I mean everything during a Fight scene. But other that that i think it was a good watch.
Nothing too special. But it was a nice watch.
I recommend to watch it if you didn't. It won't live an impact after but it won't make you feel like you wasted your time either.

After I finally got hooked on anime, this was one of the first anime that I watched. And that was where I made my mistake. This series was just too perfect. And because of this it made me get the feeling of having the rest of the anime I watch after it will never live up to it.
The story starts out slowly, but it snow balls really fast but not to fast to make it seemed rushed. This show really had everything perfect. Animation, Soundtrack, Character Development, Plot. Everything was spot on.
I may not know a lot about anime yet. But This is a must
...
watch for everyone.
Don't question it. Just watch it.

I would like to say I am new to anime. I have known anime ever since I was little from my brother. He would always be going out buying tons a of DVDs of anime. I really never got what was so good about it, besides the pretty colors and since it was drawings meaning that they had a larger hold on the ability to capture the writers story.
But I grew up a bit and realized that it's actually pretty good. And I can honestly say now that I am hooked on it.
This is my first review on this wonderful website. Sword Art isn't
...
the first anime I watched but it was the first anime that really made me want to let my feels on it out there. Not because it was good. Not because it was bad. But because it was both.
* Some Spoilers past here *
The story opens up and you can see the great animation. The vivid colors. And a really nice main character that really just captures you. It was a really good story. But then suddenly turned to romance. I mean they had so much going for it. But Hey, I don't hate romance. So I was like " What the heck, It's pretty good? " I loved the show even more after that. It felt so real. The feels get to you and you just play along. But then the second arc comes and just makes you more frustrated. The show loses it's original aura it gave to you. But it's too late to go back now. You've already started it.
Second Season comes and it jusst becomes slice of life. I was so disappoint.
8/10- It was so good. Had so much potential. Then it just broke down. I hope Season 3 gets better.
