First the manga has almost the same story until like 50 chapters and then it takes a major change from the anime. [spoilers] The manga is for the people who wanted a sweet ending with zero two and Hiro both alive and staying together. The anime had a bitter sweet end with both of them dead but staying together. The manga learnt from the anime’s mistake by not adding the VIRM hence not rushing it.
