Personal Rating Guidelines Developed since 2015. Far from perfect, but i'm always seeking ways to improve it.
Basically, it's a process of substractions and additions starting from the score of 10.
A. For Original TV series / Movies 1. Substractions
- promote or justify bankrupt morals? -2
- indecent fanservice that serves no purpose? -1~-2
- unintentional inexplicable or illogical elements? -1~-2
- bad animation that prevent immersion? -1
- deus-ex-machina overuse or story felt all over the place? -2
- sound design not fitting? -1
- characters not felt human/behave unrealistically? -2
- did not enjoy? -1
- cannot imagine watching it together with the person i respect the most? -1 2. Additions

Regarding personal list and ratings:
1. Shows i encounter on MAL with ratings lower than 6 will be dropped. I found out that i can trust MAL community ratings to an extent. From my honest observation, only those with ratings above 6 are personally tolerable. Of course, there are shows that show honest effort from the creators, and they might just fell short on delivering something ideal for their intended audience, whether it be technical blind spots or unfortunate disagreements between those involved.
2. Most of the items in my list that i watch or read, i do not pay for them. I would try to keep it in mind when i comment on or rate something, not to take them for granted or to feel like my opinion is special.
3. If perhaps you are interested to navigate my 'dropped' list, i recommend to sort it by 'progress'. You can sort it by 'score' too, but i don't rate every single one of them.

About the user
Hi, nice to meet you. Nickname's Xavion. Mid-twenties. INFP (The Healer/Mediator) according to recent evaluation, although my ideal self were intended to be ENTP/J (The Visionary/Commander). Discovered anime during a period of suicidal depression back in 2015 as an attempt to escape reality and due responsibilities. As my personality was not a strong one, i let depression destroy almost all aspects of my life. My depression and all destructive habits was taken away by Jesus when i accepted Him as my Savior in early 2018. As for now, i'm recovering from relying on fiction to run away from things i have to confront. I am now extremely selective with what i watch or read, and i update my MAL profile / list when i have the time. I strongly advise not to take lightly the destructive capability of escapism, and to use entertainment (including anime, of course) in its proper proportion after every important things in life. Why do you have Kirito as your profile picture?
Sword Art Online was one of the two series that got me into anime (one being Toaru Kagaku no Railgun). My anime palate was still narrow during that time (approximately less than 25 series), so without much to compare with, the series became something special to me, especially during my personal hardships being the reason i tried to find places of escapism and discovered japanese animation in the process. When I joined MAL the first time, Kirito was easily the first character that i had in mind while deciding for the profile picture. I never changed it since then. Interestingly, i just found out recently (5 years later) that both Kirito and i share the same zodiac decanate, which explains my natural affinity or relatability with the portrayal of his character.
Why so many dropped anime? And why rate them?
I used to force myself to complete everything when i first started watching anime. Bad decision. No creation is equal in value and quality. I also drop the shows i've decided not to watch, and i don't rate them. I only rate the ones i've watched to a certain extent and only when i have a firm impression of why i dislike or condemn it. As for the sheer number of entries, i thought it was a good idea to drop every single entry on MAL that i would not watch. Bad decision. Wasted so much precious time. Don't do this too.
Regarding friend request
Well, first of all, to be honest, i don't really know how to be a good friend in MAL. Since i'm still recovering from depression, i still unwillingly retain my awkward persona when dealing with others. If you are okay with that, i can say i'm open to friend requests if for some reason you would like to send one. That said, i prefer a genuine connection rather than an addition to some arbitrary numbers on my profile, so i do have two main preferences in mind: i might be more at ease to accept if we have more than 20% list affinity, and if there is a message attached to it in order to know where you came from and why you are interested to connect with someone like me. One more thing, i tend to take time to reply to PMs. If you have read through my profile to this point (and onwards) and still decide to try to connect with me, i truly appreciate it and look forward to get to know you as well.

My journey to find truth is an important part of my life, which leads to what is regarded as the christian faith:
1. Everything in the Bible/Scripture is true. If there is anything inside it that someone denies, either that person hasn't had the experience/epiphany, or hasn't yet made enough effort to observe their inner self or the world around them. More importantly, i can painfully attest that this well-known saying is true: Sin keeps you from the Bible, and the Bible keeps you from sin.
2. You can do your favorite sin without anyone knowing, but the One who created you sees everything. God keeps record of every single thing we do, including secret thoughts and deeds. After life on this earth ends, a day is appointed when we will each be accountable for how we live, whether good or bad.
3. Sin is sin, whether lust, anger, perversion, homosexuality, lies, escapism or anything else, we can justify all we want or even possibly have understandable reason(s) to maintain sinful lifestyle, of course God Himself understand where we each came from and why we do what we do, but there is always price/consequences for everything, both temporariliy and eternally. God loves us enough to offer forgiveness (which He purchase with His own blood), and that love is also shown by respecting our freewill to choose to receive His forgiveness or reject it and continue in our path stubbornly.
4. It is difficult to be a christian. I myself have trouble being a hypocrite, this has led me to dark places. If you are aware that you still have the chance, chase truth, reject evil, seek God and receive His forgiveness. There have been many who lost this chance, don't let it be you, and of course in the end it's your own choice.
5. Fake self-proclaiming christians, beware. Most people who call themselves 'christians' will be rejected from entering heaven. What's in the heart, are showed through actions. Real christianity is hard, it's acknowledging the truth and reality we tend to run away from, and it calls us to endure temptations, to not give in to what is wrong, truly realizing that God watches everything and acting like it. People who call Jesus their 'Lord' but commit sin every single day without care, will be in for a big, irreversible surprise. He and His sacrifice is not that weak that it cannot change who we are as a person, to finally love to do good and to hate what is wrong.
6. It's still your choice. The blame is not on God if we "hopelessly" continue to sin and in the end pay the price, it is always either we believe demonic deceptions or most of the times, we deceive ourselves.
7. Angels, demons, and the spiritual realm is real, this statement based on personal experiences (made firm with countless other people's similar testimonies), and this is why i cannot give high ratings for most supernatural shows/stories which might mislead some people through wrong potrayal of our supernatural reality, no matter how enjoyable it is or "it's just fiction".
8. The only way to be forgiven and enter heaven is to accept God's forgiveness by receiving Christ's sacrifice and welcoming Him in our life. There is no other way. There are no fundamentally good person, even the most 'good' thing a person does is laced by multiple layers of ulterior motives, and you know it. Receiving Christ technically accepting His purity and holiness in the place of our own, and this is the only reason (which should be easy to grasp) for any flawed person to be allowed in the pure and holy eternal dwelling/heaven. Perfection is an impossibility in this fallen world. There are only misconceptions or flawed understandings of what it means to be 'perfect', this differs from person to person. For example, whether trying to play a decent role (as a parent, sibling, friend, partner etc) or attempting to create something decent (art or non-art, tangible or non-tangible), just having correct motivation (ex: positive influence on others, desire to help or take care of someone) is good enough to start.
9. Indecision is a decision to avoid or postpone doing whatever it is that we are supposed to do, and it always has consequences, which most of the times not favorable. The most dangerous indecision and the only one which affect the afterlife is the indecision regarding God's offer of forgiveness. Indecision in this case is counted as rejecting the forgiveness. Without this forgiveness, we are too corrupted to be allowed to step into heaven, and we ourselves will have to pay for every single wrong thing we have committed, whether to be erased from existence or to be forever rejected from heaven, whatever it is, it will certainly not be a good thing.
10. Ultimately, pride blinds a person from seeing the truth. Someone who is not willing to trade pride with humility (admitting that what they know might be wrong), is not truly seeking the truth. If someone truly seeks the truth with all their heart, regardless of background, at the end that person will always find God and Jesus.
I hope and pray that God will open the door for all who truly seek the truth.
