To sum up the anime: 6 episodes of Attack on Titan + 6 episodes of Guilty Crown.
The beginning was great, setting is near identical to AoT except with zombies and trains. Art is no less than that of AoT either. The studio did a fabulous job setting the tone for the anime that you can actually feel the fear and despair. Characters are rather bland but the plot alone is enough to keep your attention.
Then it turned into Guilty Crown (which I really disliked). While the characters remain undeveloped, the plot starts to fall apart. The story becomes harder to follow by the

The perfect anime movie? Almost
- Art and Sound: as brilliant as you would expect from a studio that made Byousoku 5 cm. Music does half the work setting up the mood. In general, perfect. - Character: character development is slightly rushed, so not everyone can grasp the emotions in the anime. - Story: Needed more exposition. While too much information really drags the plot down, the one gives too little for a stand alone movie. Hopefully the manga will tell us the full story. - Enjoyment: Just look at how high this thing is ranked. I guarantee your satisfaction, even in shitty 360p quality. Jan 23, 2016
There is no way anyone could (NOT should!) hate this anime.
Sure, the content is quite outdated, and the animation isn't top notch, but who cares! this show is the definition of a good comedy! The plot is vague, logic is non-existent, and nothing makes sense, but by the end of each episode, all that matters is that you got a good laugh out of it. Story is quite heart warming, characters are unique in their own way, animation is done specifically to add to the comedy, and the voice actors done their job so brilliantly that it is practically impossible to dub this anime. ... I can't give this show any score other than a 10/10. I sat through all 48 episodes, and I did not feel bored for even 1 second. It kept me hooked throughout the show and the only thing I do after finishing an episode is starting the next one. The plot twists surpasses those of Death Note, and every conflict always ends in the most unexpected fashion.
This is in fact, one of very few shows who's ending actually holds together. I've seen so many other anime where their ending is way over the top and you have 0 idea what is going on no ... Dec 8, 2015

Honestly I don't understand why people hate this anime.
Sure, the characters do not get developed at all, they're mostly one dimensional and bland, and a couple of them are only there for the fan service. But one shouldn't deny the fact that it is by far one of the most enjoyable anime out there. The story is not meant to create any drama or suspense, but rather let audiences sit back, relax, and watch an anime that doesn't require them to shut their brains off. The art is beautiful and fits the atmosphere, the soundtrack is fairly decent, and there is never a dull ... |
