They share a similar premise of someone trying to research time travel to alter a sequence of events, and the system trying to stop him from doing so, all in order to save his lady love. Steins;Gate had a wacky cast of characters that were missing from Hello World and a lot more focus on the Sci-Fi elements that served it well. While Hello World has a lighter tone and better visuals.
