This is your typical Isekai Manga with one dimensional characters. Clearly you have your own taste and different values bc of our life experiences so some may like this manga and some might hate it, we have our own opinion so this is my somewhat informative review for Seirei Gensouki after reading 20 chapters.

I've read this manga years ago and I liked it, but because it's still ongoing, I decided that I'll wait for the manga to be completed before reading it again in one go. Then they decided to give it an anime adaptation so as an anime lover I decided ... to read Seirei Gensouki manga again and kill some time, it's to also know what to expect from its anime. Clearly I now hate the manga and I'm utterly disappointed with everything as of now.


This manga is very wrong in so many levels. Mainly because the mc is soft hearted who will never seek revenge to solve the problem, he's letting the enemies to hunt him forever. And apparently the main purpose of the mc is to return back to his hometown(why tho) while picking some girls along the way... Lol


Chapters 1-20 summary:
Mc got isekai'd, some sh*t happened(he got accused) and now he's being interrogated(tortured). He then got an offer to study at some prestigious school for royals from the king(the hell is this king? Does he even have a purpose except for his title?). And encounter this loli sensei who have a big heart, who became his harem member after 10 chapters. Then some sh*t happened again(he got accused AGAIN) that forced him to leave the school... Yes, now that he's done with playing the role of some student he's going back to the east; to where his hometown in this world is. Along the way he encountered this beast kin loli slave, an assassin sent by some noble; the loli is also from Japan(another isekai'd character). Ofc he defeated her and now they're traveling together bc apparently they're both going at the same destination.


The MC in a nut shell:
-Will save a girl bc she's weak and the story is harem.

-Lets the antagonist who's after his life go away unscathed because he's Japanese, and not a murderer. Lmfao

-Doesn't hurt people much less kill them.

-For some reason the MC know when to lose. Of course it's ok to lose while knowing that he has so many people that's after his life. This is me harassing the author bc the mc will always lose even when he has the upper hand. He will lose, then the next chapter the author will let you know the reason why he lost, and surprise it's bc they're not hostile to the mc, so here's your apology, now they're friends.

-Will hold back if the enemy is woman until he's defeated and unconscious; clearly the enemy has no plans to kill him bc they're woman and will later become his allies... Fvck.

-He chose his harem members and only when they're competent will they have the qualification to fall into his harem. It's also guaranteed that they'll become his harem member when they're an isekai'd woman. Lol


I gave the manga 4/10 bc I want to see character development, not some indecisive harem protagonistー clearly a bad manga. Maybe the manga skipped a lot of its material with how boring it is. What's important is that the mc fighting prowess came from his training in Japan. He never showed any improvements even after learning spirit magic.

The story has no introduction. The enemy is nothing more than a one dimensional antagonist with the purpose of harassing the mc.. Even after 20 chapters the author haven't made a proper introduction, we don't know why the enemy even exist or what their purpose even is. The mc just want to return to his hometown but apparently the antagonist don't want the mc to. The big hearted loli sensei is now inlove with the mc after spending times with him at school. We don't even know she fell inlove bc as far as I have seen she just taught the mc how to read and write, then suddenly she's inlove and can't stop thinking abt him. The loli slave assassin is just introduced as someone who has secret crush on mc and died at the same accident, who then got isekai'd and merged with some slave who's being abused and tortured for fun... That's it. Now that they're inlove with our mc, we know that their screen time is 80% finished and will now be remembered as mc's harem member.
