Puella Magi Madoka Magica is a prime example to not judge a book by its cover and just give it a chance (which im glad i did.) This anime grew on me really fast and is now one of my favorite anime of all time.
The Art is so unique and memorizable still to this day, in addition the soundtrack by Kajiura Yuki is beautiful, it really fits the scenes and supports them in every aspect possible.
