After enjoying the first season of Made In Abyss and the third movie I quite liked the show. I would even go as far as saying I was touched and that it had me crying. That is something Made In Abyss is supposed to do. Well, that's what I thought, but the second season of Made In Abyss is totally different.
A strange dark sometimes gloomy world where with every layer you will find something different. After the events of the third movie, we dive into The Golden City of the Scorching Sun or the trade city. While this layer has its own charms and
...
little things about it, it feels lacklustre, not the same and mostly just not as entertaining to the point I found it a hassle to watch. The whole show definitely still gave the despairing feeling you also had in previous seasons, but what it missed for me were the adventures. Diving into a deeper level, finding new fauna and flora and other dangers. This season feels different. It feels like we are just in the same city for a long period of time. Doing what exactly? I'm not sure. Staying in a hotel and exploring the town? seeing how the economy works? It feels like I was a kid going on vacation with my parents through old European cities. or in one-word dissatisfaction. Because that's not what I came for when I clicked to watch this. Furthermore, the delvers are faced with various problems like 'The Balancing', The sages who build this village and Faputa. Another thing that is disappointing is that Nanachi, Reg and Riko are split up for a good part, this is mainly because I liked their whole adventures together, but since there is barely any adventure I guess it doesn't matter that much.
Now you might think that I hate this season, which is not true. I am aware that it is good, just not compared to the previous seasons. It still has amazing world-building, character designs and way more. It is just that the things that I see as bad overshadow the good ones. As usual, the music is on point. Kevin Penkin did an amazing job on the OST Made in Abyss. Really makes everything so much better. He just shows how important good sound and music are.
I also would like to point out that this season also made me uncomfortable. I am aware that this is the point, but it is so much more than season one and the movie. I am referring to the unnecessary amount of something with poop or pee mentioned and that in combination with kids concerns me sometimes.
From disappointing lack of adventures to exploring ancient cities created by the Three Sages. This season has a lot and that might not be for everyone. It lacks the same feeling the first season has and that saddens me Lucky Penkin still makes up for it with his amazing music just for the amount of uncomfortableness to destroy it. If you like it you like it. just like every anime ever.

Tales of the nordic warriors, or how many people call them, Vikings. Vinland Saga is made by Wit Studios so I expected a good show. And let's be honest we got what we expected.
Story (8): So far I have seen 17 episodes, but I just wanted to make a review so I did that. So far the story has been good, but it felt like a cat chasing a mouse. England and Thorkell chasing the Danish prince Canute which was such an annoying character (I'll come back on it). Also, there isn't much senseless fighting. Major + point.
Art (8): I'll spare you a
...
whole essay. it was good. that's it.
Sound (9): I love, no let me repeat myself. I LOVE the OP and the ED. especially the OP from part 1 (first 12 episodes) and the ending of part 2 (last 12 episodes). Whoever made them deserves to go to Valhalla as the Vikings might say,
Character (9): Okay I liked them. There isn't a single character I truly hated from the bottom of my heart. Yes, prince Canute was annoying for being such a wuss, But as he said himself he only was like that because he was scared his words could have an impact. then Thorfinn and Askeladd. To me, Askeladd felt like the true MC of this story, he was constantly there while Thordfinn was sometimes just a background character to me. This does not mean that I did not like Thorfinn. on the contrary I really liked him as a character, but I would prefer to see more of him. Perhaps we'll get that in the second season.
Enjoyment (10): it rarely happens that I can watch multiple episodes in a row, but a show does that to me once again. That's when I know a show is truly enjoyable. I would recommend it to everyone.
Overall (9): TL;DR
So far in the 17 episodes, I have seen. I can say that it is almost perfect. Yes, it is unrealistic sometimes but it is anime so what do you expect? a realistic story? Nah that's no fun. Vinland Saga has a good story which may be even better in the future and has amazing music and an enjoyable cast.
If you are reading this. don't waste your time on this. Go watch this anime.

This is a great example of an overrated and overhyped anime in my opinion.
Let's start by saying that I am writing this review a month or two after I have watched it, so I may have forgotten some parts of this anime.
And one last note. I am dyslectic and I struggle a lot with language. So keep that in mind.
Story (3):
Honestly, I really disliked it storywise. It felt repetitive and hard to watch if it wasn't for the gorgeous art it has. They just slay those cursed monsters and that's pretty much if for as far I remembered the show. The part
...
of the show where they went on camp with the group from another city was good. I really liked that part.
Art (10):
I don't much to say about the art and animations. It was gorgeous, beautiful and pleasing to the eye. If it wasn't for the animations this anime wouldn't be too high on the MAL rating list.
Sound (9):
Don't remember much from it. It had a good opening and ending song. One of my favourites.
Character (7)
Most of them were pretty mediocre, But it did have some amazing characters like Gojou and Toudou. Gojou is really an enjoyable character he is serious, mysterious and goofy all at the same time. I just knew it was going to be good when I saw him getting in the scenes. And for Toudou. He was an enjoyable character too. From him being all serious to everyone except his best friend (Someone who has the same taste in women as him) to him being really cool with his cursed technique. that one battle vs the cursed monster was amazing. Him and Itadori swapping places with each clap, wow, it was the highlight of the anime. If only it had more moments like that. And as of last. Itadori and Kugisaki were a great comical duo.
Enjoyment (6):
My enjoyment for a show comes from the story and most importantly the ending. And yes I know this anime hasn't ended yet and I know it has a sequel, But that doesn't change that this season was bad. like really bad if we talk about the story. For that reason, I just did not enjoy it that much as I intended. Everyone who recommended me to watch it hyped it up. I had high expectations and they were all crushed.
Overall (7): TL;DR
It is mediocre anime with good animations. It had an awful story and good music. The characters were fun, especially Gojou and Toudou. Also, the synergy between Itadori and Kugisake was funny. Not fighting wise, but they are a great comical duo.
