It is sad thing when someone that you love misunderstand you. And that what Maison Ikkoku shows us. Maybe it seems stuped for european culture, but people in Japan are pretty inderect, that is how misunderstanding is born. They simply can not say directly "I love you". That is why it takes a long way.
Though there are many funny moments, it is still sad anime. This anime shows how love can bring not only happiness but also sadness. And watching it you remember that time is fast. And you can not return time that already passed.
Many episodes made me smile. Not because it ... was funny or something like that. It was interesting to see Godai`s life and how he was trying to approach to Kyoko. And his every success made me smile.
So that is why I like Maison Ikkoku. It gave me unforgettable feelings.
