In both series, the main character is a badass pacifist, and both storylines tackle similar themes. The settings are very different, but the overall feel of both shows is very much alike Side note: the first episode of both shows have basically the exact same storyline.

If you liked Angel Beats! add

...then you might like Akame ga Kill! add

Both series are about the MC joining up with a group of rebels to fight against authority. Both series also have the MC getting to know the members of said group, where you learn about their backstories and whatnot. The settings are completely different, but I still got the same vibe from both shows. Akame ga Kill is a lot more violent than Angel Beats though.

Both Hunter x Hunter and Yu Yu Hakusho were originally created by the same guy, so both series feature many similarities. Most noticeably the four main characters in YYH are extremely similar to the four main characters in HXH.

Both were originally created by the same guy, so both share the same art style and have a similar style of humor. If you like one, you'll most likely enjoy the other as well.

Despite having very different settings, both series feature a similar plot structure in which the MC finds himself repeatedly going back into time to protect those he cares about. The MCs are similar personality-wise, and both series explore the psychological ramifications of failing multiple times.
