Akira and Ghost in the Shell are both classic anime movies. They have gorgeous animation, fantastic soundtracks, and intriguing (if not a little confusing) storylines. If you enjoyed one of these films, then I can almost guarantee you'll like the other!

Nyuutou
add

Both manga feature scenarios about young boys and older women. They both have fantastic art, which really helps to bring the scenes alive. If you enjoyed one of these manga, then I can practically guarantee you'll like the other. I personally prefer Mitsu Tsubo to Nyuutou, but they're both really good.

Keraku no Ou
add

Keraku-No-OH and Mejoku both have similar plots. In each OVA series the main lead decides to get "revenge" on various women. And since these are both hentai, I'm sure you can figure out what that means. They do differ in tone, with Mejoku being fairly comedic, and Keraku-No-OH being more serious and dramatic. But they're both fairly campy, so it evens out. If you're a fan of older hentai, then you'll probably like both these series!

Elfen Lied
add

Now and Then, Here and There, and Elfen Lied are incredibly similar series. I saw Elfen Lied first, and when watching Now and Then, Here and There, I was constantly reminded of it. Both series are absolutely brutal, and they don't hold back on violence and serious themes. Elfen Lied is more bloody and forward with the violence in, while the violence in Now and Then, Here and There is more implied. All of the horrible things that happen in both series occur to very cute characters, which creates an interesting contrast. The villians in both series also feel like an intimidating and unstoppable force. And while the heros in Elfen Lied are able to fight back, that's not the case in Now and Then, Here and There. There're also many other similarities, such as similar scenes and similar music. But i'll leave the rest for you to find. If you liked one of these shows then you'll probably like the other. I'd highly recommend both of them, but be aware, they aren't for the faint of heart.

Keraku no Ou

Both Nikuyoku Gangu Takuhainin (Living Sex Toy Delivery) and Keraku-No-OH (King of Pleasure) feature very similar storylines and plot structures. They're both revenge stories that revolve around the male protagonist capturing and raping various women that have wronged him. To do this, he enlists the help of an attractive female sidekick. So, if you enjoyed the plot of one of these OVAs, than you might enjoy the other. I will say that in my opinion, Living Sex Toy Delivery is significantly better in every aspect. However, that doesn't make King of Pleasure bad by any means. So if you liked one of these OVAs, you might want to consider checking the other one out!

Kanojo x Kanojo x Kanojo: Sanshimai to no Dokidoki Kyoudou Seikatsu
add

Kanojo x Kanojo x Kanojo and Resort Boin are both really similar OVA series. They both feature a story that follows the male lead an a harem of quirky girls on their daily lives. Both series feature some good animation and art, especially for the characters. Although Kanojo x Kanojo x Kanojo definitely has an edge. Both series have a very calm atmoshpere, occasionally penetrated by humor and general shenanigans. Although I'd say Resort Boin is slightly less comedic. They just have a kind of intrinsic similarity that's hard to put to words. If you enjoyed one of these, then I guarantee you'll like the other.

Genocyber

Akira and Genocyber are both interesting classic anime. While Akira is by far the more popular and successful series, both have quite a few similarities. Both are super action packed with that old school anime violence, although Genocyber is far more gruesome. I'd even argue it's one of the most brutal series out there. Without getting into spoilers Akira and Genocyber also have similar themes about scientific experimentation, uncontrollable power, and war. If you like Genocyber I can pretty much guarantee you'll like Akira. And if you like Akira, then there's a good chance you'll like genocyber.

Both Akira and Berserk are great classic animes. Both series have interesting storylines, set in strange yet familiar worlds. They're also artisticly sound, with Akira's smooth and fluid animation, and Berserk's beautiful backgrounds. There're some important differences to be aware of though. Akira is incredibly fast paced with many plotlines that interconnect. Berserk on the other hand is much slower, following a main group of characters along their journey. Both series are action pack with plenty of that old school 80s and 90s violence. It was actually Berserk that got me interested in watching Akira, which I did the day after finishing Bersek! Both series are undoubtedly classics, and they've had a huge cultural impact. Some might even call them masterpieces. I'd highly recommend them.

Elfen Lied

Elfen Lied and Berserk are both incredibly violent series. They both feature great and memorable charecters as well as intimidating villains. Although I personally prefer Elfen Lied, Berserk is probably the objectively better show. However, both series are great and I'd highly recommend them.

Death Note
add

Both series feature a fast paced story, memorable characters, and high-stake scenes. Although Elfen Lied is much more explicit than Death Note, both storylines are serious. The main characters in each show could both be considered villains of a sort, since they do terrible things based off their own motivations. All in all both series are great and I'd highly recommend you watch them!
