Never thought 5 chapters would end up telling the worst story ever with cute art (woah did i describe like a whole genre of mangas?) but this is why you should never trust insta rec compilations.

SO where do i even start? We are introduced to a twins (male and female) and cousin (male) childhood friend trio in which the guy twin is worse at everything he does. His sister and cousin are rumored to be dating and he thinks that they like each other. Due to some "misunderstanding" cousin makes a move on bro and bro in clearing that up offers to be ... a replacement for his sister. (fucked up? super fucked up! WHAT IN THE NAME OF INCEST??? LIKE ATLEAST BE DISTANT COUSINS THAT HAVENT GROWN UP TOGETHER????)

Then the absolute dumpster fire of a plot doesnt end at that, it proceeds to become nuclear waste when we get to know that of, cousin dearest had feelings for brother dearest along, he just got off- sorry- loved to watch brother dearest feel inferior every time he showed affection to sister dearest (weird fetish but ok). Its ok guyssss the cousin loved the brother alonng!!! the sister wasnt dating cousin, she was dating their home room teacher omg (was incest not enough??? did they have to introduce a pedophiliac subplot???) Best ML 10/10 loves to make his cousin feel even more inferior to his sister and them kisses him to make it feel better woooo. The sis is a victim: of homeroom teacher, of the cousin using her name to fk the bro and bro using her name to do the same

oh boy. Beautiful art, solid plot, interesting characters and good humor, so where do it all go wrong?
The ending. The second season is so painfully rushed, all the conflict that was built up was ended so easily that mc doesnt even need to show off her strength. So many new things were hinted about the so called conflict, only for them to just never come up and end. it was so utterly pointless that with or without the antagonist (evil ancient guy ) the story would have remained the same. The antagonists (empress/ evil ancient guy) might as well be some random thugs on ... the street than the position they were given. what do you mean one just died in the bg out of exhausting like are you serious???

The FL takes in 3 students and train them, only for them to, *drum roll* NEVER SHOW THEIR SKILLS EVER. FIRST SEASON IS ALL ABOUT TRAINTING AN THEY N E VE R USE IT. EVERYTHING INTRODUCED IN THIS STORY, builds up oh so nicely ENDS UP AS NOTHING. EVERYTHING IS WASTED POTENTIAL WHY DID THEY DO THIS ?? Its like the author wanted this to just end and so they just did. It was so disappointing.

It starts off so bad that i decided to do myself a favor and drop it instead of forcing myself to finish it. The ML is complete and utter trash who cant seem to keep it in his pant and the FL just has Stockholm syndrome. Our girl here decides that shes in love with the first dude that gives her attention, even if its in the form of harassment. I get that shoujos can be annoying in that way but this guy really pushes it. He pulls her hair, forces himself onto her (once right after almost fking a senior in front of her), ... treats her like an object and just is overall a bully. she cries over allll of it but omg shes in love because of one nice thing he did (so he could force her to date him ??). The bar is so low, its in hell.

The Fl is a genuine and head strong character. Shes smart in various ways. The supporting characters are really lovable too. The story is paced a bit weirdly but over all it was fine. The problem lies in how it ONLY follows the princess selection and the way it ends so abruptly. Many characters that were introduced were sidelined and some questions were left unanswered. The story was good in the start but the underwhelming and sudden ending just ruins it. It had so much potential :/

Its definitely not the best anime out there. Its not something you watch for an absolutely amazing plot and characters, which you closely analyze. Rather its one of those animes where you can turn off your brain and mindlessly consume (and forget about later on). Some of the songs were nice. The repeated intro is annoying. I wouldn't recommend this show if you are looking for something nuanced and developed.

The plot is pretty straight forward. The main characters as singers arent that special, something that becomes obvious when other artists are introduced. But somehow, with the power of being anime mcs everyone thinks they ... are. AS far as character development goes, Angela is the only one. The rest of the characters either do a 180 at the last moment (the antagonists) or stay consistent through out (the "good" characters). Which makes it the kind of anime that doesnt stay with you forever and is super forgettable.
(watch if you liked barbie and the diamond castle as a kid lol)
