Ah, the OVAs and the main series were pretty good in my opinion, the characters were fairly well developed and stayed within their themes quite well, however the main character was extremely boring, nothing special in the way of protagonists. I've seen her character SO many times, so that was a little disappointing. The art style isn't quite the way that I like it, but considering it is from around 2007 that is to be expected. One thing that I absolutely could not stand was (SPOILER ALERT) the fact that EVERY SINGLE GUY DIED. Literally, all of them except Shirunai and Kyuuju. T^T Overall though,

This is perfect. I actually thought that there was a lot of character development! I think that you just need to look closely to notice it. The fact that the storyline moved quickly at the beginning made me fall face-first into it and once I was in, there was no getting out! It is a storyline that you need to really pay attention to to understand, but once you do understand you have so many feelings you spend the day crying. Overall, this is an amazing manga series (in my opinion) and I love it : )

PERFECT PERFECT JUST PERFECT I will reread this till the day I die. It has a great plot, and I think the small amount of supernatural ties readers in quite nicely. Its one of those stories that I think I would hear as a fairy tale. I also like how the author managed to make it something you keep reading by making it at first from the perspective of a 14 year old, but by the end of it being a 16ish year old (grow with the story).
