So I went into this series completely blind as I didn't read it's blurb. I had no preconceived notions about the plot or the characters so I was a bit lost for the first few chapters. I kept on reading though and by chapter 10, I was addicted and am now a total fan girl. The art is absolutely stunning. From the characters to the settings, it's all intricately detailed and eye catching. The plot is also top notch. Once it sucks you in, it's impossible to escape. I am really looking forward to the rest of the series and also reading the authors other

I enjoyed every aspect of this manga. From the fantastic art to the amazing charqcters, it was a ten across the bored for me.
Art: The art is one of my favorite parts. As the plot is character based, it's obvious that they would get the most detail. The characters are all stunning and perfectly drawn in a way that their facial expressions convey their every emotion. To me, the most outstanding features are Misao and Kyou's gazes. Misao's gaze is generous and soulful whereas Kyou's gaze is hard and flinty. The contrast between the two really play on each other. It's also wonderful to
...
see how Kyou's gaze softens only for Misao.
Characters: I love the two main characters. They compliment each other perfectly. Kyou is chivalrous but he has a hilarious perverted side. His snarky comments really liven up the serious situations that are abundant throughout the series. He reminds me of Damon Salvator for The Vampire Diaries. As long as Misao is safe, he doesn't care if the rest of the world burns. Misao is often accused of being weak but I think it's the exact opposite. Her strength is displayed via the fact that she is a normal girl placed in an extremely abnormal situation. Who wouldn't cry? I cry at tv commercials so darn right I would cry in all those situations that Misao gets into. Misao is also extremely selfless and cares much more about those around her than she does her own welfare. While not traditionally booksmart, Misao is very good with people and picking up on the emotions around her.
All in all, I really loved this series and would like to read others like it.

This series is one of the best that I have ever read. It follows the female protagonist, Erika, from her first day of high school to beyond college. The characters are what truly set this series apart from the rest. They are like a breath of fresh air in a stale world. You will laugh, cry, and cheer them on through every step of their journey.
The female main character, Erika, is amazing. It's impossible to not want to be her friend. She is a genuinely good person whom is just a tad bit impulsive and naive. Sometimes you want to strangle her but ultimately,
...
you just want to defend her. I genuinely envy her determination and positivity. She truly does try her best at all times.
The male main character, Kyouya, is the type of person that you love to hate. At times, he made me shake my head and wonder how this series is classified as romance. I would describe him as bored and disillusioned with life. His personality is the opposite of Erika's. He has a very stoic shell that is tough to crack.
Do not read just the first couple of chapters and then give up. This is one of those series that if you don't read at least the first ten chapters, then you truly can't form a proper opinion. The characters are multifaceted with deep personalities that don't show right away. When given the proper chance, this series will make a genuine lasting impression.

This show could have been a masterpiece but sadly, it fell far short. I love all things zombie so upon seeing the first episode, I was so excited. The art was amazing. The characters are beautifully drawn in an appealing style. The color use is also simply stunning. 10 out of 10 on a visual scale. The action scenes were top notch with blood and zombie killing galore! That’s pretty much all of the good though:(
Despite its potential, this show had no freaking plot! I get that the series is character driven with the main focus being on survival which is fine. I’m well versed
...
in zombie fiction so that was no surprise but the problem is, there is a complete lack of character development. After 12 episodes, we still know next to nothing about the characters or their backgrounds. There were also completely useless characters too such as the blond with the ginormous boobs. Personally, I’m not offended by boobs in anime. It wouldn’t even bother me if all the female characters ran around topless. (Even though realistically, in a zombie apocalypse, one should wear as much clothing as possible while still maintaining proper mobility. Even a thin layer of cotton can offer a small measure of protection against bites or scrapes not to mention protect the skin from contaminants. So please, fellow ladies, upon that advent of a zombie apocalypse, wear more than only an apron and thong before going outside FYI.) fit the love of God though, why was the blond so stupid? She was a doctor for crying out loud. Last time I checked, even blonds with giant breasts still had to be fairly intelligent in order to become a medical doctor.
My biggest complaint though, is the failed romantic opportunity between the MC and Rei. Obviously they had a history and the chemistry between them was evident. Maybe it’s just my ovaries talking but I would have loved to find out more about why they broke up in the first place, then watch them work out their problems, and finally see them get back together. Anytime they hugged or even looked at each other, you could tell just how much they loved one another. Why even show all that if it wasn’t going to be an actual storyline? I just don’t understand.
The bottom line is that this show offered up nothing but disappointment even though it had all the potential in the world to be epic.

I thought this anime was great! The characters are some of my favorite. Ikki has to be one of the all time sweetest guys. He is genuinely a good person who would do anything for those around him. I'm usually more of a fan of the bad guys but Ikki really does take the good guy cake. He starts at the very bottom and attempts to reach the top solely via hard work and determination. In his case, many would just sit back and live an easy life but not Ikki. He is actually a really good role model. Where are the guys like him
...
in real life??
I also really liked Stella. At first, I thought she was loud and just annoying but the more I got to know about her, the more I was able to appreciate her personality. Her life has been the complete opposite of Ikki's. Stella has an incredible amount of raw power and is able to easily defeat her opponents through brute strength.
I loved the art. I found the color saturation to be beautiful with all of the pinks and blues. This may seem silly but I am a tad bit obsessed with the character's hair colors. It's kind of a reverse ombre with a lighter color at the top turning into a deeper color at the bottom. It's some of the prettiest anime hair that I've ever seen.
I hope there will be a second season!

Even after I finished this series, it stayed with me. I was blown away by the characters and their backstories. With that being said, I almost stopped watching after the first two episodes because I thought it was silly and boring. I'm glad I stuck around though because I was so wrong. Upon first look, the character don't seem like anything special but once you learn their backstories, it brings each one into a whole new light. My favorite character is Amane. I felt like she and Yuuji had the strongest connection and also that she needed him the most out of everyone. I felt
...
like the time that she and Yuuji spent together on screen was cut way short(not her backstory) so I even ended up buying the VN. OH MAN! On the VN, I watched what I assume to be Amane's happy ending with Yuuji and it destroyed me. I'm pretty dead inside and thinking about it still makes me want to cry. Amane and Yuuji are now probably my favorite anime couple of all time. It's pretty amazing how two broken people can fit together so well.
