Decent, but REALLY needs a season 2.
Let me explain:
*Spoilers*
The Good:
Worldbuilding-
Compared to basically every other isekai harem show, it spends a good amount of time explaining and showing the mechanics of the world, how different spells and labyrinths work, etc. It also doesn't feel forced, which is a pitfall a lot of isekai fall into, where the worldbuilding feels like a forced lecture.
...
The number of characters-
Throughout the 12 episodes, there is only really 4 characters that have screen time beyond an episode or 2 (Michio, Roxanne, Seri, and Allen). The small number of important characters is a double-edged sword but it does mean we don't get any unnecessary characters and it should mean (at least in theory) that the main characters get fleshed out more.
Pacing-
There's a caveat to this mention. As long as this gets a 2nd season, the pacing of S1 is great, we certainly aren't rushed into it. But it can be argued that it's too slow
Animation-
Ngl they probably put 95% of their budget into the ecchi scenes, nice.
The Bad:
The number of characters-
Because 3/4 of the important characters are introduced in episode 1 or 2, so it feels like there isn't much interaction with the people around them
Pacing-
Now onto the bad part of the pacing (which is BY FAR the worst part). Do you see the 3 girls to the right on the main cover? As well as being on the cover art, they also feature prominently in the OP. Do you want to guess how much screentime they get in total (excluding opening and ending)?
About 5 minutes.
That is not a joke. The only screentime they get is a brief flash-forward in one of the earlier episodes and then 3 mins of sexual activity with the MC in the ending credits scene which was a massive unexplained leap forward as the MC had only JUST bought his 2nd slave (Seri) halfway into EPISODE 11.
That's right, this 'harem' anime only includes a harem for 5 minutes!
This is why the quality of this show is so dependent on if it gets a season 2.
The way they ended it made it very clear to me that they at least intend to make a sequel though.
Character design-
Every one of the 6 female harem members has exactly the same face, the only discernable difference of their faces is their eye colour.
As for things like music and voice acting, they are fine I guess.
tl;dr - Don't bother watching this anime until a season 2 has been confirmed

(Note: I am rating this manga based off my enjoyment, not my objective view)
1/10 no Hanayome is an enjoyable manga, if you like borderline hentai with a semi-decent plot and characters.
Here is a quick run-down of things that should be mentioned but aren't on the official synopsis on MAL:
Zaizen (the MC) had a girlfriend (Natsuki) in high school. She asked for 20 million yen to help with her ill mother but she never returned again. A few years later, Zaizen has to choose 1 of the 10 candidates to marry. The problem is apparently one of the candidates is Natsuki but with a different appearance.
...
There is also the Joker, in which if she is chosen to be married, Zaizen will lose his entire fortune. There are also 2 other candidates who are solely after his money. Which means 6/10 are 'regular' participants.
I did enjoy this manga, even though neither 2 of my favourite girls won the game, which sucks.
The art is great, about half of the characters are decently written-the other half you might as well forget about.
The ending is bittersweet, it features a time skip 4 years later with Zaizen and the wife being happy together, with a quick mention of what all the other past characters are up to now.
If you like this manga, I highly recommend Tamarowa, it's almost an identical premise except from a woman's perspective as a marriage candidate

“A manga that’s so bad it’s good” Is the best way to describe this series.
I don’t know how seriously the manga takes itself in the raws but the scanlator turned it into one big shitpost after Trump turned up in the story. I get that some people don’t like his humour but if this story was taken seriously, it would be boring and repetitive as hell.
Also the characters are psychopaths for no reason, like most the school kids decide to commit attempted murder on the Pumpkin Night girl because she was slightly annoying and it was a prank. Also they are dumb even by C-movie
...
horror standards
The gore and art in general is very good though, I think it might be better than Dead Tube.
All in all, the story and characters are so incredibly stupid that you’d be a fool to take it seriously. And in my opinion the scanlator does a good job at making it funny (although I will say a lot of the jokes aren’t future-proof)

This manga was a fever dream, and not the good kind
For a non-spoiler synopsis, Hoshino (the mc) is a teenage boy with the worst case of Stockholm Syndrome I have ever seen, and he also happens to be a psychopath-magnet. I’m not sure if he’s just really unlucky or he lives in some parallel universe where Japan is basically Arkham Asylum.
Story: 3
I can give it credit for at least trying to have a mystery plot but I can’t decide if the final twist was good or awful and predictable. There are also so many sub-plots and it switches from horror to comedy so fast it
...
gave me whiplash. It’s also a mess because sometimes it doesn’t properly show when a flashback ends so i’m left wondering if a certain scene is a flashback or a continuation to the story.
Art: 7
Art is pretty good, not much else I can say
Characters: 2
The worst part of this manga. It’s only 20 chapters but there are about 10 psychos in it. However the main 2 get half the chapters so the rest of the cast get a chapter or 2 at most and then are forgotten and irrelevant to the story. And the MC just forgives all of them despite the fact that many of them were close to violently killing him.
Enjoyment: 4
If you want to enjoy this manga even just a little bit, don’t pay attention to the story or characters because they don’t make sense.
Thanks for reading

My review of this will try to be as serious as possible
Story 1/10
There is no story, but there wasn't supposed to be one. (except for the last 2 episodes)
Art 3/10
It's ok, but there are a few weird parts with the characters faces, like one girl has a slightly drooping cheek for some reason that i'm pretty sure wasn't intentional. Also the tiddy is censored, which drops it down a rating
...
Character 3/10
There aren't really any 'characters' since none of them reappear apart from the MC who we never seen
Sound 7/10
Assuming you include voice acting as part of sound and not part of character, the VA is pretty good considering how insignificant this show is. The MC is voiced by Tomokazu Sugita and anyone who has heard him knows he has a good voice for comedy. The other VAs are fine, and the outro is alright
Enjoyment 6/10
Provided you go into this show with minimal expectations, you might chuckle once or twice at Sugita's VA or the occasional 4th wall break. I'm fully aware that objectively this show is like a 2/10 but I found SOME enjoyment in it
Overall 4/10
This show only takes 20-30 mins to watch the whole thing if you skip the ED and the first 30 or so seconds where nothing happens. So to the people calling this show a 'waste of time', how busy are your lives where you can't spare 20 mins? What else are you going to do in 20 mins? Make breakfast? Play a game of COD? Watch a youtube video? Anyway it's honestly not awful to watch provided you go in with the right mindset

(For the sake of compactness, I will be talking about both season 1 and 2 in this review.)
As someone who has watched almost every ecchi harem anime, I was interested to see the chinese attempt this format back in 2015. I watched the first episode but I started it again 5 years later. So here is my breakdown of both seasons.
S1 Story: 8/10
For an Ecchi Harem anime, the plot is executed quite well and I thought the concept was unique. It caught me off guard that it also included a lot of drama. There was a lot of dilemmas and the story rarely felt like
...
it slowed down. However, there were a few problems, for example in the first episode he claims he had never talked to Zitong yet in a flashback he is handing the cake to the main girls, all in the same room, which is impossible because later on in the anime the girls interact between each other as if they had met each other for the first time. Another contradiction is that the MC says he's something along the lines of a boring average student who will become a bin man or something. Yet we learn that he is well trained in kung-fu, the smartest student in the school and has a very strong moral compass. My favourite arc in the whole anime was the Lin Yuan arc. Fuck me that ending made me tear up.
S2 Story: 4/10
Similar problems to S1 except the MC feels like a complete Gary Stu now and there are more inconsistencies in the story. What else didn't help is that Lin Yuan, Tang Xuan and Mei Tata got way less screen time in exchange for Zitong (who did basically nothing during that screentime), Xueli (who I don't mind because she's best girl and actually has decent character development) and the new character Sandy. I did not give a shit about Sandy or her arc and she just felt like she was shoehorned at the last minute. Her personality is non-existant and her arc is just BORING. It had some good moments but it just felt like S2 was trying to be too many genres at one time. Also it got old how the MC would find the girls father (or father figure) and teach them a lesson with some good old words (that don't vary with any of the dads).
Sound: 6/10 (combining both seasons here)
When talking about sound as in voice acting and sound quality, this is what almost turned me off this show. Despite looking like the show had quite a big budget the mic quality was probably the same as OVAs from tiny studios. As for the actual voice acting, it was serviceable, but most of the time the tone was melodramatic when it shouldn't have been.
Now onto the music perspective. The opening and ending music and animation is one of the lowest budget OP and EDs I have ever seen, most of it is static images and the first season didn't even have lyrics in the opening. As for the actual soundtrack in the show, I'm pretty sure it was all royalty free but where the music was placed fitted well in my opinion.
S1 Characters: 7/10
As I mentioned before, I loved Lin Yuan's arc and the characters involved in it. It really portrayed the MC in a wholesome light that didn't seem superficial. Zitong at the beginning was pretty nice but she eventually got more bland. Tang Xuan was your typical big-breasted tsundere who I grew to enjoy in her arc but sometimes afterwards It seemed as if that had never occurred and she went back to her tsundere self. Xueli barely had any screen time and Mei was alright
S2 Characters: 3/10
My god what a colossal fuck-up. To avoid repeating myself, i'll put it simple. Every character had either shit character development or no development at all. Especially Sandy, and the MC's cousin that appeared for like the last 2 episode and did nothing of note. I'm guessing this means that they're planning on a season 3 sometime soon as I don't see why they would just introduce a love interest for 2 episodes
S1 Art: 8/10
I was actually really impressed at the artstyle and animation of the first few episodes, The animation was smooth and vibrant with colour. Not really much else to say
S2 Art: 5/10
The art and animation got noticeably more simple and jankier as the series went on. They used less flowing animation and they reused old backgrounds a lot more. The art was still fine, but it was no way near the standard the first season set.
Enjoyment (Overall): 8/10
It was easy to watch and was quite funny but also did have its sad moments. It's easy to binge both seasons.
S1 Overall: 8/10
S2 Overall: 5/10
Conclusion: If you have watched the first season but haven't watched the second, you won't lose any sleep not watching the second season. Unless they announce season 3. Personally I would just not watch S2 or skim watch it

If you want a realistic football anime, this is the best out there. Here is my breakdown of the sections
Story:8/10
The story is very captivating. It makes an unrealistic scenario feel realistic and achievable. It does what it needs to for a sports anime and it doesn’t make it over the top like haikyuu, free, kuroko no basket etc. I only have 2 small problems with the story. The first is that sometimes the results feel too cliche (a lot of the goals occur conveniently at the last few mins of the game). Also Tatsumi is basically Joseph Joestar with his personality being “you thought you
...
outsmarted me, but I actually outsmarted your outsmarting!”
Art: 6/10
To be honest, the art is nothing to write home about. The characters are simple, but they are still easily distinguishable, which I like. Also the 3D animation has not aged well. It’s slow and robotic which ruins the feel sometimes
Sound: 8/10
The op is easily in my top 10 favourite anime ops and the ending isn’t too bad either. The soundtrack during games is decent, albeit forgettable
Characters: 10/10
There is not a single character in this anime I dislike, not even the rival players. They are all realistic and likeable for different reasons. Apart from Tsubaki, Luigi and Murakoshi, the characters do not depend on any tropes. What I also enjoy is
how each character has a spot in the limelight, and it’s used to portray their uniqueness. I haven’t read far into the manga so what i’m about say may have already happen, but I would like to see an arc of Tatsumi managing in England.
Enjoyment: 9/10
The characters and story combine to make a memorable experience. Some games are a little boring but that’s to be expected because boring games happen in football as well
Overall, if you want a realistic portrayal of the beautiful game, this is a must watch

So, this is my first review on MAL, so please don't expect too much. But I HAD to make a review on this manga considering how the review scores differ from the rating itself. I think this is because people drop this because at the beginning it is borderline hentai but please believe me when I say it gets a lot more interesting. Now onto the rating of each section of this manga.
Story 6.5:
To be honest, there is barely a story to begin with in the first 10 ish chapters, but I would say the last quarter is where the mystery element reaches it's peak.
...
It's definitely not the suspenseful type of mystery but more philosophical. However, the ending was definitely 'cheap' (I won't say any more than that). If you re-read the manga, the reasons for certain things happening now make sense so I don't believe the ending was rushed.
Art 6:
It's decent, especially the ecchi scenes, if you know what I mean. there's not much else I need to put here. It fits its purpose
Characters 8:
(Minor spoilers) There are 7 important characters (from my memory). There's the MC, a fat guy, a young couple, a 20 something girl, a young teenage boy and a hidden stalker. They all have their moment in the spotlight and they are pretty well fleshed out despite not having much backstory. They are very mysterious as they seem to appear then disappear at random times when the MC isn't looking. Speaking of the MC, she is a nyctophobe (fear of the dark) and a nymphomaniac and the only way she can be calm in the dark is if she has an orgasm. It's a weird character point but I think it works well.
Enjoyment 9: I know this manga isn't objectively perfect, but damn it was a fun ride and also one of the most unique manga I have read. It's entertaining from start to finish. Something about this manga just fascinates me.
Overall 8:
I was close to giving this a 7 because it's objectively not worth an 8 in all honesty, but I bumped it up 1 because of how much I enjoyed it. if you're skeptical about this manga, please read until chapter ~30 before deciding if you want to drop it. Thanks for reading
