Highly overrated. It's inappropriate to call this a magnum opus. The story is a weak, simple (and actually ridiculous) excuse for the director to show a bunch of scenes from movies he likes. I still found it rather enjoyable.
The story: girl between 14-16 meets a random guy for about a day, then spends like 70 years in "love" with him and hoping to find him. Absurd and unreal. If someone did this in real life, we'd call them insane. The icing on the cake is that right before she dies, she admits she doesn't care about finding him

I do not recommend this film. It's boring after the first act. It's disjointed and borders on nonsensical. I would hesitate to even say it has coherent narrative.
The film seems to think it's addressing numerous serious themes. But it is not. At best, you could say it alludes to the existence of a few themes. It explores none of them. It doesn't have the narrative or characters necessary to explore any themes. The characters are extremely flat. We generally don't know their motivations at all. The boy is unexpressive and strange.
