Zero plot progression until EP7 but it was only a foreshadowing and mind you, this is a 12-episodes series. The "strongest" thing about this anime is the MC's 1-hit K.O when his party is dying. I wouldn't recommend anyone to watch this, you're basically in for a soap opera on the first four episodes, without clear trajectory of how the story will unfold.
This is one of those generic "betrayal in the beginning, live happily after" adaptations that have been plaguing the manga media since 2016. If you ever encounter an anime with "...is actually the strongest" as the title again, you can expect the protagonist

This is your generic and cliché trope where the MC will always try to do something for the sake of justice/good but he doesn't have the required strength to do so. His actions related heavily to his feelings, he went straight thru a dangerous situation and always ended up saved by random pedestrians. He's so gullible that you can practically sell him to a slave master, he'd straight up believe that you're giving him a harsh training and he'll overcome it eventually, sigh.
Kanata as the main character had little to none character development on this first season. He shouts at people when he doesn't understand ... |
