QUICK THOUGHTS ON BLUE PERIOD :

If you're reading this review it is likely that like me you are interested in this anime because of its critically acclaimed manga. Let me tell you this - so far I'm feeling slightly let down. I came in expecting a masterpiece and when that was not what I encountered I lost interest for a bit BUT just when I was going to give on the anime as an adaptation and go read the manga or worse drop blue period all together the 3rd episode aired. The 3rd episode didn't make it a masterpiece either BUT now that I had ... lowered my expectation subconsciously I seriously enjoyed it. Now 4 episodes in I am very much interested !

My point ? Don't let the hype affect you too much. Go in as blind as possible and you'll probably have a good time.

One thing I have to mention is that the pilot was really good. A stand out episode and it got me invested. I'm now very much "down for the ride". As someone who has drawn and painted a bit as a hobby I also love some of the touches in this anime. It is very clear that the author is someone with a background in art. While Yatora's growth may seem slightly fast at times it is very much within the realm of possibility. His struggles are certainly significant and I look forward too seeing how he will overcome them! The show has also given us very realistic and solid supporting characters so far.

I don't want to comment too much on the story and but the art,sound,animation etc are very good.

This anime is just pure adrenaline being pumped into your veins. It may not have the most sophisticated storyline , plot development or the creative and well fleshed out characters that you have ever seen BUT it is SUPER ENTERTAINING without a doubt.

There are no real slow moments is sk8. It starts out fast paced and is yet to slow down in its 5 episode showing so far and unlike its main characters , the show rarely stumbles and instead maintains a even pace. The show reminds of shows like God of High School in the style of animation and how dynamic the visuals feel.

If ... you are looking for seasonal anime or an anime with a big heart , fun characters and 100% feel good entertainment then... GO FOR IT!

wow ! I'm definitely someone who is influenced by the fact that a show is popular but this is one of the few shows I've seen that is TRULY WORTHY of the hype !

Now I'm also someone that prioritises enjoyment above all else. I'm willing to forgive a good bit if I connect with characters and that connects exists here, in this show for me. I'm not saying there's a lot to forgive .. I'm only saying I'd be willing to.

The characters and the action are the DEFINITE SELLING POINT of this show. This show also does follow some shounen tropes but I dont see ... that as a negative because of how well Jujutsu kaisen manages to execute them.

This is show is great and really good for me and if you like the shounen genre I'd definitely recommend that you check it out !
