I have only read a couple chapters, and I really tried to power through more because I loved the anime, but I couldn't get over how ugly the art was. I'm sure the art gets better in later volumes, but I just can't do it. Maybe I'm just not strong enough right now... I'd really like to come back to this manga to get the full story, but for now I'm out.

The anime has actually pretty good animation considering how underrated this series is, so definitely check it out if you haven't. The characters and art look so much better compared to at least the ... first part of the manga, much more clean and consistent.

Yeah, this manga is pretty terrible. I got a couple of the volumes at a Book Off, having been drawn in by the mod cover art, but was shocked at what was inside. All of the messaging in this manga is terrible. The characters are shallow and gross, except for Yuichiro (second male lead), who deserved the main girl if only she wasn't so shallow like everyone else. All the characters talk about is sex, and in the grossest way possible.
The male lead is probably the worst character, not counting the gross, annoying, psycho 30 something teacher who competes with the main girl ... for Sou's affection. He is super creepy and gross with how he hits on the main girl, and when he's not being creepy he's emotionally abusive and a gross prick.
The art is decent sometimes, but the artist has unique style quirks which sometimes make the characters look ugly (I'm actually being very generous here). This makes it difficult at times to buy the idea that the main girl and main guy are oh so attractive. I actually ended up taking a pen and trying to improve the art myself it bothered me so much (I would never normally do this, but I only spent 3 dollars on each volume...).
I know I sound a little repetitive, but "gross" is really the best way I can describe this manga. It's an interesting read for a couple volumes as a spectacle at least, and so you can appreciate actually good manga by comparison. 10/10 would read again

I see a lot of the reviewers for this show taking it WAY too seriously. Of course it is sad that Ebichu gets punished often, but its just slapstick for gods sake. Get over yourselves. And the art couldn´t be super detailed, otherwise the show couldn´t be broadcast at all due to censorship. The simplistic art style is what lets it get away with being so explicit. This is Japan, people. Even their porn is censored. By the way, the art shouldn´t have to be detailed to be considered good. Judging an art style based on how detailed it is is stupid. In this case, ... the simplistic art style serves a purpose and lends to the overall atmosphere of the show, which is the art´s point in an anime. If it simply doesn´t appeal to you, that´s valid. But trying to judge the art from an ¨objective¨ standpoint is pointless, as art is subjective. The animation can be judged objectively though, and yes, I do agree the animation is a bit lacking. But the show gets by just fine and I find it gives the show more charm and has a comedic effect, which is why I rated the art so high. I also love the cute opening and strangely good ending song. I´m still trying to memorize the lyrics of both, which is difficult only because of how nonsensical they are and how off-beat they are sung.
I wont repeat what most people who enjoyed the show wrote (about the dirty jokes and all that), I only wanted to defend and deflect the some of the idiotic things people said about the show in other reviews and let any newcomers know the show has more quality than they made it seem it has.
