Why did I give it a 10?
Well, I'm not especially into drama and tragedies but this show is just so amazingly well done that it's drawn me in. There are a lot of reviews that talk about how the characters are terrible and all and while I do agree that it can be a bit too goofy at times, teenagers do act like that a lot. It's not realistic to think that some 14-year-olds are going to be sober and tragic

all the time. This is a story of people finding themselves and not some greek opera tragedy.
The art is beautiful which really pushes the story forward but especially when characters are playing music the stunning animation brings the songs alive.
The music is what truly makes this show. I never was into classical music but the way it brought to life in YLIA introduced me to the genre and made me love it.
To finish off, the build-up to the final is incredible and it had me in tears at three am.
TL:DR : Amazing show with a powerful ending that I won't forget for a looong time
