Well, this one was gory.
At first I was pretty sceptical of the horror part of the story. I only watch anime from time to time, and as an outsider, even though this one has a really dark and kind of creepy atmosphere, that's as far as it goes. The horror element in this series is mostly blood and brutal violence, and while that can make some people flinch, it didn't work for me, (I was kind of forced to let all that go because of my best friend, the scary movie maniac.)
Anyway, this story is about a boy, who moves to a new town, and
...
everything is of course not fine and dandy. He meets a girl with an odd appearance, and begin in a new school. There is just a slight problem, the class seem to be cursed.
(Insert spooky noise here)
The main problem with this anime isn't the artwork, which is really good along with the music, but the characters and the pacing of the story. After a while, you get used to whats happening, and it's really hard to care when not only the side characters, but also the main characters, are very hard to understand. They all seem pretty dull at times, and we don't get much explored about their personalities. I also wish the story would move on in a different tempo, it's WAY too slow, except for a few actionfilled moments. The ending (No spoilers! :D) are actually pretty awesome though.
Overall, I recommend to give it a watch, there is nothing particulary bad about it even though it's not that amazing either. And even if some things don't work, it definatly have a very creepy tension, that I found quite enjoyeble.
