Hellsing provides evidence to the validity of emphasizing art, soundtrack, characterization, and visual storytelling over an approach centered around hard worldbuilding, and more direct exposition. Both methods are valid and can be executed well, but Hellsing takes a more challenging approach to it's interpretation of an unfinished manga. With so much time spent fleshing out characters, exploring the unique style of the work, and introducing one of the most consistently impressive anime soundtracks out there, there's many gaps in the storytelling like lore that needs further exploration, missing pages of origin stories, and central characters that become irrelevant shockingly fast. Code Geass is an absurdly well developed story that combines intricate mind game strategy/tactics and captivating pathos/characterization. With no wasted episodes, characters, or even subplots (debatably) Code Geass cements itself well as a thematic, humanistic, and profoundly communicative work, defining not just the mecha genres focus on the stories behind the pilots, but the wars and politics that invoke such machines. Are terrorists a reflection of the fear mongering, unjust systems they combat, or are they to be held in contempt for their methods? Is there really a "better way" or are the falsely righteous just stalling the real progressives? are means and ends one
