This anime is brilliant and the word brilliant doesn't make it justice.

Story - 10: A strange music is heard and what look like some flying pterodactyls come from the sea into this small city bringing with them a mysterious red dust. Will this bring the catastrophe that ends the world? This is where the story and its mystery begins. As it moves along, the story evolves and becomes extremely clever. As it gives you all the necessary details to figure the story out for yourself and even when you do, it still manages to surprise you with twists and turns that are simple, yet extremely ... efficient. This is a masterclass in mystery storytelling and world building. Whether it's building the myth of Godzilla, using all worldly mythologies and religions to prop their stories and theories up. Reference poetry, literature, plays, other kaiju movies or philosophy, the story of Godzilla SP is densely packed and full of content to analyze and over-analyze. Not only that, but the story rewards you for doing so.

Art - 10: The combination of CGI for the Kaijus and 2D animation for the rest is done extremely well. Some scenes are simply breathtakingly beautiful. Others absolutely horrifying as kaijus feels otherworldly. There is no bad animation, not glitch, no misstep in this anime. Absolutely superb.

Sound - 10: Godzilla has always had a good soundtrack, but here, music is taken to a whole new level. Why? Because it is part of the story. As mentioned earlier, a strange music is heard that actually ties in with the plot all through to the end. The sound design, fantastic. The kaiju noises, superb. The Godzilla score, as epic as ever. The OP, one of the best. All sound and music in Godzilla SP is used to an effective boost to the stories, reactions, fights and to enrich the mystery.

Characters - 10: Usually in a Godzilla or any kaiju series, the people, you do not really care about. Well, until now. All human characters are extremely rich and well written even with the little screen time they get, because there are a lot of human characters you'll get to meet that are crucial to the plot in some way, shape or form. But what about Godzilla? Well, Godzilla has its own purpose here. He is more akin to the original 1954 movie or the 2016 Shin Godzilla than the monsterverse legendary Godzilla. So, he might feel less alive or lacking in a personality for some that prefer the US franchise or are more into the Showa era Godzilla.

I can't stress enough how good this anime is. It hooks you quickly and once you are in... You can't get out. It is a masterpiece in storytelling, mystery, character building, world building and the only downside to any of this is that you simply want more.

First thing, first. If you don't have patience, you won't get to what this manga is really about. This is the type of manga that repays you, if you get to the ending. I started reading it as a cute shoujo with cliche after cliche, but what I got in the end was tears, both of sadness, first, and joy. As for the characters and story as a whole is just a generic one for a manga, with stereotypes, but that doesn't take anything away from it's charm and great ending. So even though the art is not great and the characters aren't developed properly ... until the second half of the manga. The twists and turns will put a smile on your face while you'll cry. By now, I should have foreseen something like this, but I had no idea that a cute manga like this could get so emotional.

Suzuka is a fulfilling romance manga, at the first glance it might seem to be a harem filled with cliches, but it isn't have patience with it. It's one of the best romance manga I have ever read. The characters are as normal as ever and you can find yourself fast in their situations. And one of the strong points of this manga is the fact that it doesn't exaggerate situations and the relationships to try and get some witty humor, which makes it easy to relate to it. The same thing goes for their struggles the characters go through, it isn't exaggerated and sometimes ... it might be very subtle with what they are thinking or feeling. But don't worry there's plenty of humor for everyone to enjoy. And the fact that the last 60 chapters could get me teary eyes is amazing, since not even IS or Good Ending managed to do that for me. You will cry, you will laugh, you will feel good and determined after reading this manga, it's an overall almost perfect manga, that you'd wish to see more of the charismatic characters and their stories.

While I had higher expectations for this manga regarding the depth of the story and characters, it turned out to be a quite a fun and easy read. While the author said that it was quite a broad spectrum of subjects and plots she could have followed I feel she could expand and explain why some have this power, for example the detective has such powers. How are they chosen? And how can they tap into their power. Anyway, I really liked it for what it was, maybe my expectations were higher, but it was a fun and very interesting story, the characters were fun, ... the story arc was uninterrupted constantly developed and the humor worked this time around, I found myself laughing many times instead of being scared in anticipation of something horrible.

This manga does not disappoint, the story will get you invested fast just like the authors other work. While I wished for another ending, the story is quite well written and it never goes off the main story arc, and when it does it shows you the stories of other characters and what their intentions are, well sort of, since you are let to guess until the very end if there would be a double crossing. One thing that I liked, is the fact that even though it deals with murders and violence and crimes, you have an easy time to read it, so you'll ... get to question yourself like why are you enjoying something like this? But don't think that you won't be shocked or moved by the actions in this manga. The characters are a interesting as you witness their descent into madness and a false idea of revenge. But the humor the author tried to put in this manga didn't click with the overall atmosphere. But still for me it's a solid 9 for a psychological thriller(since this isn't really a mystery) manga. It's isn't comparable to Kimi no Knife, which I consider the author's best work and one of the best manga's ever written, but it's still unique as it's more reality based then any other psychological thriller that usually goes into supernatural.
