Both of these series are VN adaptations. They both feel like utsuge, where the main aspect is to get (somewhat) attached to the characters before you're enraged and trolled to shit with upsetting love triangle drama. White Album 2 is better written and has comparatively more likable characters, though.

Little Busters! Refrain

Little Busters and Mahou Shoujo Madoka Magica are both driven by powerful friendship and unstoppable antiheroes. Natsume Kyousuke and Akemi Homura are willing to go to the extremes while enduring feelings of hatred and betrayal to fulfill their ulterior motives, and their powerful story impact are greatly impressionable, as they're often considered to be the stars of the show by the end. While the setting, genre, and characters differ quite a bit, both series' writers (Gen Urobuchi and Jun Maeda) come from a Visual Novel writing background and thus retain a similar storytelling style akin to Key's pattern of Slice of Life / Comedy =>Intense Drama. Overall, I think that if you take each story seriously for their themes of friendship, regret, and perseverance despite despair, you'll enjoy each of them.

Coming of age, time skips / aging, realistic art, psychological with slice of life and comedy, and a similar art style give Oyasumi Punpun and 20th Century Boys a similar feel. There is also a "God" figure that gives some powerful insight and foreshadowing for the story.

Little Busters! Refrain

Clannad: After Story and Little Busters!: Refrain are both the sequels anime adaptations of Visual Novels written by Key They both focus on the "true" or "main" arc of the story, which essentially ties together the story and gives importance to the previous story arcs, and does a great job of giving development to the main cast after their more lighthearted and comedic prequels. Each of them are more dramatic than their previous seasons, have more romance, and are primarily written by Jun Maeda. They each have traditional themes from Key, and these sequels solidify the themes developed throughout the entire story in the form of a climactic experience. Any fan of one story should give the other a chance.

Little Busters and Clannad were both written by Key, namely Jun Maeda for the second seasons of each show. They both originate as similar style VNs, that share a common development characters through primarily slice of life comedy before more dramatic events later on. They both originate from visual novels and have some overlapping storytelling traits due to the original format. Also, Little Busters invokes a theme of friendship, while Clannad is more oriented towards a theme of family. They're both nice slice of life shows that shouldn't be hastily judged before getting to the end of the second season of each.
