This review won't have any spoilers. And it's my first ever review since it's the first anime that I think doesn't deserve it's score.

If you like Game of Thrones, Full Metal Alchemist: Brotherhood, Youjo Senki, Death note and/or Overlord then this show is for you.

Kaifuku Jutsushi no Yarinaoshi is truly amazing. It's dark, unsettling and worst of all full of taboo topics. It's sad to see it has such a low rating but that's to be expect from people who want anime to be cute and wholesome and can't accept that anime is free to tell any story it wants. Not just a boring, recycled ... and uninspired ecchi.

Kaiyari is revolutionary. It will make many people feel unconformable. That's to be expected but so does a show like Game of Thrones. but the difference is that with GoT is that it's live action, high budget and was already popular before any of the bad stuff came along. People just said: "oh it's fantasy this is all fake and meant to surprise me." Kaiyari doesn't try to hide any of this though. From the start they show you what you're gonna be watching and if it's too much then you're free to leave.

I think a lot of people are put off since it's label as ecchi which is normally this light hearted, fun romp through an enchanted forest. This show is the exact opposite. But i think anime and the anime industry is at it's best when it pushes the boundary of shows and genres. Full Metal Alchemist: Brotherhood is the most popular show because of this reason! It's dark and terrifying even for an action-fantasy anime.

The few things that makes this show different is that it's short so you have less time to watch the characters. The main character isn't someone you root for and the most important thing is that it's taboo. I love anti-heros. Deadpool is awesome. Hei from Darker than Black, amazing. Even "Le-douche from Code Geass". these are all people that you know are trying to do something good but they use evil methods or are otherwise "bad" people. but Kaiyari takes it another step. They make the protagonist who you are supposed to root for and admire and want to be like. and they turn him into a total piece of shit and have him become the villain but he's still fighting against evil.

This show is seriously 10/10. If you can't handle watching fake people do fake evil for entertainment then this show isn't for you. But if you watch shows because of that feeling of "Wow, that was amazing. I can't believe [person] could do [thing]." then give this show a try. you don't have to like or advocate for everything in the show. In fact you're supposed to not agree with what's happening. But just know that no real person is getting hurt and you'll broaden your horizon and be able to enjoy breath taking entertainment.
