This is a very interesting manga. You will be hooked on it from the very first chapter. I really like the two main characters Mako and Chiho. Chiho started out as a cliche shounen heroine but I am already seeing her develop into someone dark. Mako still has a lot of character development ahead of him, but he is still someone i find very interesting. His childlike innocence and thirst for blood are a juxtaposition and the mangaka uses him well in the stories. This "yandere" character is also a common trope in many Japanese mangas.
The story is a little outrageous and you will

have to suspend some amount of belief to go through it. I have always liked the stories of psychologically damaged characters and Mako is truly fucked up. I just hope that they don't try to justify his actions in the end. That would completely ruin it for me.
I didn't like the character of Sunabe's father - it was unnecessarily sleazy. He is a villain and I understand that he has to be shown in a negative light to the readers but all the scenes where he is mercilessly banging a woman or getting a fellatio from her look more like fan-service than an actual representation of a man who has no respect for woman. This wouldn't be the first time that a manga has badly written stories about sexual abuse. This is a very touchy topic for me so I never forgive mangas that don't treat such tragedies with respect. There hasn't been any "disrespect" for rape victims in this manga per say but I am still not happy with all the ecchi scenes. I can't really put finger on why I don't like it, I just don't.
