My review will cover both the first season and second season and as always you can skip to the end for a quick summary.
Story: 10
The premise itself isn't terribly extraordinary or unique, similar premises have been done but it takes interesting turns and how far it develops each aspect is what really sets this anime apart from others like it. The romance goes really far here and is super satisfying. The goddess premise isn't forgotten at all which was what I really feared, but instead it's heavily developed which already puts this in a level above A LOT of anime with these kinds of stories
...
where the MC is caught in something else besides a budding romance lol. For the most part the story consists of more or less unrelated conflicts that develop Nanami's character, the world she finds herself in, and most importantly her romance with Tomoe. Despite being unrelated arcs each one build on top of each other which is really awesome to see.
Art: 8
Art is pretty good in my opinion it has a kind of has a traditional japanese aesthetic to it. The animation could be better but this is a romance anime primarily so animation isn't as important as lets say an action anime and the few action scenes in the anime are garbage, but then again, it's not an action anime so I don't expect much in the animation and you shouldn't either.
Sound: 9
I loved the soundtrack here, similar to the aesthetic, it's kind of tradition japanese sounding (hope I'm not being offensive lol) which really help boost that japanese kami theme. The OPs and EDs are fucking amazing, visuals too not just song, and isn't that usual jpop stuff that we hear for most anime which is incredibly refreshing.
Character: 10
Where this anime really shines. Tomoe is an incredible love interest and the supporting characters are all pretty likable, special shout out to Mikage who feels like a genuine father to Nanami. Nanami herself starts out as a typical useless shoujo protag but as the series goes on she really shines, going from not knowing a thing about being a goddess to seriously feeling like one with purpose and serious power. More fundamentally, she just becomes a really strong shoujo protagonist.
Enjoyment: 10
What can I say? I seriously can't find any real faults with this anime, everything is super developed from not only just the romance but also the other half of the show, the goddess story. Even if you don't like these kinds of shows you should still watch it you won't regret it lol.
Overall: 10
WATCH IF YOU WANT
-A developed romance
-A weak female growing into a strong lead
-Excellent characters
-Awesome OP and ED's and a good OST in general

To be honest Itazura na Kiss is probably my favorite pure straight romance anime for a few reason that A LOT of romance anime lack entirely. You can skip to the end for a quick summary, alright getting into it...
Story: 9
Considering this is a romance anime there's really not much in terms of actual plot, so I tend to talk about the relationship between the leads and how they progress in this section and damn does this anime do it right. This anime goes extremely far in the relationship and I can legit count on 1 hand the amount of anime that actually goes this
...
far, even less if its an actual romance anime. To be specific and kind of spoilerly this anime actually goes up to having kids, most tend to end at a kiss at most, and if your lucky marriage, however this goes all the way. A lot of people think a kiss is the height of a romantic relationship but that's only the beginning, the real height of any relationship is the point where you trust and love each other enough to raise a child. More notable moments like the confession is perfect as it happens at a moment of the story where substantial time has been dedicated to developing the relationship making it all the more satisfying while leaving enough time to develop the relationship even further and this show most certainly does that. I think I should also mention, as the name implies, a lot of kissing happens in this anime if your looking for that.
Art: 6
Probably the worst part of the show. Animation isn't super important, once again, because this is a romance anime, but actual presentation makes the anime look even older than it actually is. Backgrounds aren't very detailed. Generally the anime is not very good looking and is passable at best. You could say its trying to emanate a novel esque look similar to Kimi no Todoke however it kind of fails at this, as that kind of look works better in a more serious and less goofy show and this show certainly has its goofy and comedic moments, which would be fine if they changed the entire look during these more comedic moments but they keep its novel esque overlay during these moments which doesn't really work
Sound: 7
Sound didn't really stick out to me. Voice acting was descent and sfx was reasonable. The ost is not spectacular and non of the pieces stuck out, pretty average all in all. Sound is something that's just kind of glossed over in this anime. (I did personally like ED 2 tho)
Character: 8
A lot of people seem to dislike the anime or even drop it because of the characters primarily the male mc, Irie Naoki, and I have to agree, at times Naoki can be incredibly self-centered and an asshole on all levels. However his disposition towards Kotoko tends to makes sense in the context of the story, like (spoilers ahead) getting afraid that Kotoko would stop loving him as he wants her to love him as he loves her in return (spoilers end here). Also, most of Naoki's actions and attitude towards Kotoko tend to be only really innocent teasing I think a lot of people misunderstand this teasing for a shitty personality. It's also not like he sees NO change throughout the show, he does learn to value Kotoko more and comes to understand things about life that he previously wouldn't have without her. Kotoko herself is pretty enjoyable, instead of being stupidly in love with Naoki she likes to try hard hoping one day to 1 up him. Supporting cast is pretty awesome, especially Naoki's mom. They all actually feel like the role they are supposed to fill in our leads' lives. Antagonist like meaningless love rivals don't last very long and they all play important roles in moving Naoki and Kotoko's relationship forward. Ultimately helping to deliver a much bigger emotional payback in the climaxes of the story. Ikezawa Kinnouske is the only exception to this, he's literally the worst, way worse than Naoki in my opnion, everyone else is cool.
Enjoyment: 8
I really enjoyed this anime, many of the more notable moments are so well done and satisfying, which is important as those moments are what you are looking for in your romance anime. The end is incredibly fulfilling as it goes all the way with its romantic story leaving an incredibly satisfying ending that is close to unheard of in most romance anime that more anime should really do.
Overall: 8
Watch if you want to see...
-A romantic story that actually goes past marriage
-Incredibly satisfying romantic story
-Incredibly well done flags (milestones in the relationship)
-Satisfying character developments with the leads
-A ton of genuinely intimate moments between leads

I previously wrote a review for this anime but I wasn't quite happy with it so I'm remaking it... You can skip to the end for a quick summary.
Keep in mind that this anime is REALLY ecchi, there's nudity and sexual acts so if you don't like that kind of thing then don't watch this. If you didn't like it simply because it was short I'm kind of disappointing in you.
Story: 8
It's about a boy being engaged to a popular girl at school and them proceeding to live together. This kind of premise is not entirely unique so there's not much to say about
...
it. But what originally appealed to me in the story was how they handled its ecchi. Instead of showing meaningless boobs on screen, they actually twist the more ecchi moments into actually being very romantic and intimate moments between the leads. Which serves as both not only fan service for the viewer but also very romantic and touching moments.
Art: 7
The backgrounds are okay, I didn't find them particularly hard to look at nor particularly stunning. The character models are nice and they often switch from more realistic human models to more chibi like models to convey comedy and make character to appear to be more cute with varying degrees of success. Animations are not stellar but they don't feel lazy.
Sound: 7
SFX is often off for example something makes a sound yet the sound appears 1 to 2 sec after that action. This is NOT TOO bad and can often be overlooked. The SFX themselves seems realistic and believable as does the voice acting. The OST is meh. None of the tracks stood out to me but they all help to convey the right moods at the right scenes.
Characters: 8
I found all the characters to be very likable. The mc, Izumi, is pretty mature and is NOT afraid to engage in sexual acts with our other mc, Ui. Ui herself can be pretty adorable and gives Izumi that extra push to actually do stuff with her, once engaged, Izumi is pretty ballsy compared to pretty much every other protagonist of an anime like this which is honestly an incredible breath of fresh air. The supporting cast is more or less forgettable, nothing really stands out but they are likable especially Ui's mother. Ui's mother, actually feel like a step-mom, yet she still feels like her own person as she has very childlike qualities that corresponds with her appearance. This anime also does a pretty good job at shoving details about the character's lives and their thinking without going right out and saying it making do on its incredibly short run time
Enjoyment: 8
Because of its admittedly fan service-y and ecchi nature of this show it easy to enjoy. However, because they spin in it ecchi in such a romantic way the show also becomes quite heartwarming. It's short run time also helps in this because the anime's short comings can easily be overshadowed by the more superior romantic moments.
Overall: 8
Watch if you want to see...
-An intimate romantic relationship
-A LOT of kissing
-A somewhat realistic approach to its engagement premise
-A popular girl/living together romance
NOTE: Keep in mind that these compliments ONLY extend to the s1, s2 is bad don't watch that the best I can give it is a 6 for s2 :\

MY FIRST REVIEW PLEASE DON'T JUDGE ME:
I don't really see why so many people hate the anime. I guess its because they are comparing it too much to the manga. Anyways getting right into it, I'll just highlight what makes this anime good in my opinion. You can skip to the bottom for a super quick summary.
Story: 8
Story is super simple, its the same "secret organization needs to kill a common enemy" simple stuff that's been done a million times. HOWEVER, this anime does what practically no action/romance anime ever does. They make the romance aspect of the anime undeniably linked to the action portion.
...
In order for our heroes to beat strong enemies and get stronger themselves they have to get closer together which I have never seen before. I also like how they take a much light-hearted and comedic approach to its story.
Art: 7
Art is okay, it uses nice bright colors and the animation is nothing special (they do get in a few impressive scenes in though). I have to give a few extra points though for how they like to highlight their attack names when they say them. They literally pause the anime for a few seconds and display the attack name in its original language (Japanese) which I think is pretty cool, other anime might have done this but this is the first time I've seen it.
Sound: 9
the SFX is okay and the voice acting seems natural and believable. The reason why I'm giving sound such a high score is because of its OST. They use dubsteb and electronic pieces for the fight which is absolutely awesome. If you like that kind of genre of music I can't recommend it anymore.
Character: 7
Similar to what appealed to me in the story, the romance is a huge aspect of this anime, and the romance actually goes somewhere here (further than a lot of straight romance anime). Our leads Rokuro and Benio are pretty enjoyable to watch as they both have their own shitty pasts that drive them forward, they compliment each other, supporting each other to get over their tragic pasts. I also like the fact that the male mc, Rokuro, was NOT weak in the beginning of the anime unlike a lot of other shounen action series. The supporting casts all have their own unique place in the story and fill out missing members of our heroes' live (parents, brothers, etc.)
Enjoyment: 8
I feel you can have a lot of fun with this anime. Its enjoyable to see Rokuro and Benio interact with each other and the fights are good nicely complimented with its awesome dubsteb and electronic ost.
Overall: 8
WHY YOU SHOULD WATCH (at least give it a try)
- Romance that is deeply tied with its action
- Actually having romance
- Epic dubstep and electronic ost
- Leads who's fighting style and personality nicely complimenting each other
- A more light hearted and comedic shounen action story
