Oroka na Tenshi wa Akuma to Odoru is a fairly standard romeo and juliet-esque romcom manga with a angel/demon twist to it. While I wouldn't say this manga tries to do anything particularly unique, it executes it's comedy and romance elements well. The comedy especially in the early chapters can be really hilarious and the romance between the MCs along with the development of their relationship feels quite natural so far though it is abit slow in that department over all. But it always stay the main focus of the story with no harem aspects to be found.
This makes for a nice cute romcom

READ THE MANGA. If the beginning of the anime catches your attention, after the first 4 or 5 episodes just put the anime down and read the manga. This anime does such a disservice to the very short section of the manga it covers due to how mediocre the art and sound is (voice acting aside which is good.) The quality in the art especially is so meh with a ton of still frames and they also have cut out some significant arcs in the manga along with messing around with the order of events.
The anime isn't finished at my time of writing this ... Mar 3, 2019

If you watched the anime and thought it was decent enough I highly recommend giving the manga a read from chapter 1. It's such a great rollercoaster ride of emotions through the whole series so far with much of the characters being fairly grounded though the story can at times be a bit contrived. The two most well done parts of the story for me is the subtle foreshadowing that occurs from time to time and the lovable and relatable characters.
The worst part of the series for me was the second half where a lot of the supporting cast is replaced and the pacing ... |
