The first episode broke me. I spilled all my tears into my sweater and had to wring it out. Then another cute lil arc with a March - had to switch my tear-filled sweater again. Then this season just seems to tank like crazy to me. I'm sure some people enjoyed it but I was absolutely bored with Gugu and I can't remember the name of the chick in the island arc. So much typical anime-stuff happening in those. I was genuinely disappointed because of how good the first couple of episodes were...

Total spoiler territory ahead:
One thing to note: the way this anime glosses over some horrendous things like falsely accusing a father of r-wording the maid, or the fact that there's a grown-ass man in a child's body sexualizing basically any opposite-gender person they meet.... the maid swearing to have her child serve the MC. I mean... there's a lot of shit that's just plain wrong here; random sexual assault and further random non-consensual fondling, glossing over infidelity while they don't seem to have that sort of agreement in the family.. All made to seem like a "ohh boys will be boys" type thing.... Beyond ...

If Sebas had more screen time I would have rated this far better. Actually, just make Sebas the main character. :)
All of the characters are very physically strong and the anime keeps telling and showing us that (that's like the entire premise of the show) but they are super flawed in every other way. I don't know what made people hype this anime up so much when there's literally every trope in it ever. Oblivious main character acting cool, lots of simp characters undeservingly fawning over main character. Why did they even start this show as "oh this guy is stuck in a video game!" ... |
