One of the things I find the most compelling about tv shows and movies is the character development, not just in the protagonist but in all the characters. Shinji, the protagonist’s character development was the most evident, most likely because he’s the protagonist and we see him on the screen the most. But characters like Rei and Asuka also developed in a more subtle but evident way. Character development is what makes the characters in movies and shows real and relatable; a very important aspect of entertainment I believe.
At the start of the show Shinji was petrified to enter the Eva, so petrified in fact

Sen to Chihiro no Kamikakushi

One of my favorite movies to this day! You know what you’re getting into typically when watching a Ghibli film. Beautiful artistry in the visual and auditorial department, exquisite voice acting, well-built atmosphere; these are all things that come with most Ghibli films and Spirted Away delivered one hundred percent. The Character development in Chihiro is amazing, and without spoiling too much, I feel that she developed smoothly and not abruptly. Akagami no Shirayuki-hime (Snow White with the Red Hair) is not only beautifully written, but beautifully animated. Each episode had an easy to understand outline that kept me captivated. Each plot-point made sense to what I can see, as well as remained interesting.
The art and detail that went into making the environment for this anime is unreal. As a fine-arts major, I have to say that this anime is by far one of the most aesthetically appealing animes I've seen. The flowers, the sunshine beams and small dust particles, the books, the towers of the castles. Everything. It's gorgeous. The love story itself is heartwarming. ... Mar 22, 2023
Servamp had potential. I enjoy the idea of it, and the plot had a cute outline, but it felt like the story veered off several times. The main plot didn't start until the second half of the show, and by the time we reached the climax of the show, it ended abruptly. SPOILER WARNING: the protagonist defeats our antagonist with a hug. 5 minutes prior they were fighting and the entire city was being tortured with rain made of knives, and then the villain decides that he doesn't want to be evil because someone showed him the smallest sliver of love? That to me feels

Jingai-san no Yome

Personally, it wasn't one of my favorites. The idea is very unique, and it was fun to watch a quick little short anime. Some parts I found rather weird, however that's more just personal preference and not a true problem with the anime itself. The art in the show was pretty good, considering how short it was. The art style was fitting for the story. One thing that got on my nerves a little bit about this show was that not a single person reacted how anyone else would in the real world. Perhaps that's a stylistic choice or some metaphor that I'm missing? I
