Kaiji is one of the most interesting series I ever read.
the idea of being an ultimate survival and beating all odds against a world that wants to destroy you is so inspiring to me. Kaiji is simply not special, he’s stupid, he’s naive, he’s an addict, he’s hopeless, but even so Kaiji survives, his will to live out weighs anything in this manga and somehow he ends up triumph. After many betrays and loses he finally catches a break which leads us to part 6.

Part 6 is the turning point of this series
Before part 6 Kaiji always the underdog the one that is suppose to ... lose and the one who has nothing to lose. This is not the case for part 6 as he has the upper hand against the corporation. However what makes this part so special is we see another side of Kaiji only rarely displayed in the other parts.

Kaiji is proven wrong in every occasion
But with the arrival of Chang and Mario we see Kaiji now having full trust of his partner knowing damn well they will never betray him.

Although there’s no high stake gambling in this part, the stake are still very high as we have these Tom and jerry action scenes. Kaiji and his groups are found, the corporation almost finds them, Kaiji’s group escapes, and the cycle repeats. It’s almost like a fresh breather to what has happened in the manga so far.
But as a monthly reader it does drag on a bit too much
Some of these chapters are almost like filler chapter with no real meaning. Part 6 is a good part on paper but because of the execution its not done quite right. The manga feels draggy and long with a lot of these filler dialogue.
It’s kinda of a long but if you are binge reading it it wont feel like that and the story si still pretty good so idk

Anyways execution could’ve been better but part 6 is still good

This will be forever the hidden gem of this year

This show is incredible, a masterpiece even. If you want a show that gives you some good shock value then this show is prefect for you. This show has changed my mind about donghua in general. So lets dive into why this show deserves more attention and why the ratings are so high.

Story: 10
The story is something you cant explain, its something you have to show. So if you haven't already watched it, plz do. I might not understand how some parts of the ... plot works but that's okay. The shock value of this donghua is insane, if you thought the promised neverland 1st ep is shocking then imagine if ever ep of this donghua is like the first ep of The promised neverland. The show has shocked me multiple times, just as I think its gonna be alright, it does a 180 on me. But if you want me to explain the general plot of this show then it would be 2 hot boys have a time traveling power by having photos, one looks like Gojo, the other looks like Gojo with black hair. The power basically allows black hair Gojo to become the person that took the photo. They use this power to help people fix there "mistakes", however this isnt always the case, black hair Gojo always mess things up and things turn out really badly. The planning of the show is amazing, there is no time wasted. With only 11 ep, they told a story that some anime would've taken up at least over 100 ep. This show had some of the best planning I seen since One piece, stuff that was done at ep 1 would appear at the last ep. It all "Links" up! and "Click" so well. Ok I should probably stop with the puns ( ͡° ᴥ ͡°)

Art and Sound: 8
What can I say, its very good. Its refreshing to see something that isn't the typically AnImU style. The sound fits the situations in the show, The opening and endings are all bangers , the ending song of the show is my fav ending song ever now. It reminds me if sherlock holmes was an anime or something XD.

Characters: 10
Fantastic Characters all around, there isn't a character i hate yet? but lets wait for a season 2 if its gonna even have one (Hoping its not gonna look like The promised neverland 2nd season) As I said I love every one of the main characters, my fav character would have to be Gojo 2.0 bc he is just so calm and I just hope he doesn't die or somethi-

I really enjoyed it, if you havent checked it out already, plz do so bc you wont regret it. Honestly pulling this out with the span of 11 ep is incredible, yet it didn't feel fast. This will be a hidden gem of 2021, I know a lot of people have been saying Odd taxi is. But how can something be a hidden gem if everybody is saying its the hidden gem!

My thoughts

Ok I'm gonna be completely honest with this show, which is that I don't think this show is for everyone. I didn't really enjoy season 1, after I finished I suddenly felt like I just wasted my time. But here is my thoughts for season 2.

Story: 2

I might be monkey brain tbh, but the show did a really bad job explaining what's really happening, like I get what's the show about but its just super confusing. Season 2 so far have did a decent job of explaining, yet its still super confusing for me because of the stuff season 1 brought to me. ... Take this opinion as a grain of salt because i could just be a monkey brain person.

Art: 8

I think the art is very good, the CG actually fits into this show. Studio Orange did a very good job on the CG, however I wouldn't call this amazing or outstanding. The art is good but compared to stuff like, A silent voice, demon slayer, violet evergarden, your name, Jibaku Shounen Hanako-kun, and plenty PLENTY more, this show just felt like that kid who thinks he has better grades then other people, but in reality he was just hanging out with the dumb kids (like me).

Sound: 5

OP is definitely better then the first season in my opinion, but other then that it was just meh. Screaming sounded like screaming, walking sounded like walking, stuff just sounded like stuff, there was nothing great or outstanding about the sound.

Character: 1

Ngl, I already know this is the part that I would get hated for. Gonna be honest, i FUCKING hate the characters of the show, and if it wasn't because of these pathetic character the show would've been a meh show. Every time the rabbit comes into a scene, I just get super annoyed, I really don't know why I hate the rabbit so much but the rabbit could literally ruin my whole day. AND I IM NOT JOKING. Other then that the other character's were pretty dull and poorly explained.

This show is not for everyone, pls keep a low expectation for this show because it might ruin your day. Don't have anything else to say, i feel like season 2 is a bit better then season 1 but by not much. Other then that enjoy the show because its actually really good, so good that my monkey brain couldn't handle it LOL
