Well my review wont be so lengthy but I had always heard of Akame ga Kill and how great it was, or maybe it was mostly the shocker that the ending gave many people.
Any way here are my thoughts.
The characters were somewhat likeable but what they all had in common that I disliked was that their immediate way to solving something was to commit a great massacre. They had that logic that there was no other choice than to do so. I understand that at one point but at the end everything just comes down to being a huge misunderstanding which I think couldve
...
been solved better.
This anime just feels like something that couldve been really great but the story in all as well as some characters and the ending leave you a bit disatisfied. Making you think "Justice was made, but at what cost". the outcome of it wasnt very grand it makes you think "is that it, is that all they got for those terrible things they did".
I was also a bit unpleased with the weapon that Tatsumi got,, it does have a bit of a profound meaning but thats all, we dont get to see much of its powers that are unique to him being used much. He was able to handle it and make it his own but he still seemed a bit less weaker than its og wielder, yet he was more Powerful? that didnt make sense.
The romance was also so abrupt, thats all i have to say about that. I didnt see it coming, thats all I have to say on that.
An anime that it reminded me a bit of was Coffin Princess, I think between Akame ga Kill and that one I'd watch that one instead.
