I must say that it was an interesting premise.
The fact that they try to calm down the animal rather than fighting them wasn't bad at all, and even though it was dumb at many moments to not make it too easy to recognize them, it still was interesting enough.
Some of the characters does have a charm and all in all it was easy to follow the show.
But, it just falls flat halfway.
I'll try to put it simply: the direction changed halfway.
I do not know if that is the person who changed or if someone tried to make it more for children, but it was
...
really easy to feel it the moment it happened.
The show became dumber, and it wasn't smart to begin with, so it really felt like a children's show. The kind of those that are killing the child's brain cells.
Consequently, the characters became dumber too killing the charm established until then.
Most of the episodes felt completely like a filler.
It is a Precure, most of the show is fillers and yet, it REALLY felt like a filler. Until then, there was still something in each episode, whether it is that they are getting used to being a Precure or any minor things, but at this moment, there was simply nothing.
The power balance became to naught.
I do understand that when a Precure not ally becomes one of the main group, there is a big power down to put them at the same level, and yet, it was awful in this case.
As it is always the case, a new Precure got added at some point.
She never made it. This last one was almost never on screen and didn't appear most of the time, making you wonder, why did they even bother adding her? Wasn't it better to simply keep things how they were?
Last, even when there was a story, it still felt like a filler.
Amazing work to do: the moment a key person at the enemy side got taken care of, I finally realized that it was actually an impactful moment and not just the usual episode of the week.
As such, it was just disappointing.
I do not know why this shift happened, but it sure didn't do any good.
They tried to recover it later on but they weren't quite able to. Making Wonderful an overall boring show.

The main character is badass.
There isn't much more to say let's be honest.
It isn't a simple badassness brought about by others characters saying it but by actually having ourselves seeing it.
We can easily assess it: he is badass.
Now, there are a whole lot of different ways to pull it off but this one is, not really evil since it would bring trouble, not bothering himself with being honest and right. He does questionable actions such as revealing people's weaknesses and taking the actions necessary against them, whether it is because he got spitted on or for his own motives.
The best part being that we can
...
understand why he is good and how he did become like this. Even if there aren't that many details, some character's building was actually put behind this one.
That make a quite enjoyable watch the moment his turn begins, and if there is but one thing that stands out at the end of the 12 episodes, it is the MC. To the point that the author probably only wrote the story for him.
Which is basically where lies the problem: the other parts don't live up to the main character.
The secondary are at most bland even with their background stories actually written.
They aren't bad and it is easy to understand how they did grow up as they are but it would be hard to remember them.
The arrangement of the story is loose. Really too much. I do not even understand how the hell would someone think it is right to do it that way when the author was able to make actual sense with the characters.
The beginning being just a way to introduce us to the MC real color. I understand the choice but it is obvious that with his personality, it would be impossible for him to withstand such a situation for even 2 months.
It tries to give him feelings toward the girl but it is again completely stupid. Even I, who am far from being clever, could see that she was a scum just trying to play the "good" girl. The fact that she was shutting her mouth when an actual good girl would try to defend the person was good enough proof that it was just a mask, and a poorly one at it.
So how would the MC not see through it?
It is on a marketing level, having an idiot behind tempering with the actual setting without understanding the point in them.
Then comes the trouble with the family.
For a second part in the show, it does a pretty pitiful job. The MC being basically a victim and fighting against a fire that he didn't light on.
It wasn't bad in itself, but when the story revolves around the main character, and when he is someone going to bite for what he wants, it felt pretty hollow to have him being taken into a problem that he didn't begin before he does any action.
As a result, beside the last part, most of the story is shallow and empty. Being enjoyable only when the MC pulls it off at the end and being boring otherwise.
This choice shows that the author didn't bother much with the details and just wanted a show-off for his favorite rather than a true world depicted.
The title chosen for the LN/anime proves this point. I did think that it was just one of the usual OP of the season with the words strongest/support into the original title. Someone actually understanding those intricacies would consider it a misstep to put such words, it aims at the wrong pool of people.
I just can't think that there was much thought put into this product as a whole, and the more I think about it, the more flawed it is beside the main character.
That being said, it did bring out some excellent moments, and, let's be honest, it must be one if not the best anime of the season just for doing that much.

It pains me to not be able to only praise Fullmetal Alchemist but it would be foolish to simply say that it is good.
As it stands, the best parts are really amazing, while the lowest one are completely boring. Making a mixed tune of boredom and excitement along the trip.
I do admit that being 64 episodes, it is logical that it can't be a blast all along. But the bad parts doesn't simply come from a cool down having their roots deeper into the scenario.
The whole letdown actually come from the main cast, there are no hopes for them being a shounen, they had to
...
be shounen's characters.
That is where it falls hard, the scenario being actually grand, they just do not follow through. There are no improvements on their parts, whether it is a psychological one or even a power scale one.
They are supposed to be some genius, studying and understanding alchemy, but it isn't meaningfully depicted either.
As such, at each moving scene, at each study/fight scene, it is just void of anything of worth after the first few.
No originality, no new elements. Even though they are supposed to have access to the truth, they are still just as boring and bland as ever.
Then does come the alchemy itself.
Don't get it wrong, the not main cast ones do show that it is actually amazing and you can do many things with it.
But we are behind the main ones, making the alchemy just changing shape rather than having an actual chemical works.
There are a whole lot of possibilities in it that are just left laying. Some moments, they do remember how it works to counter an enemy, but they just forget it after that and don't ever try to replicate the enemy skill even while understanding the concept.
It makes essentially all their fights completely boring, and when they come to the same problem that they were facing on at the beginning in the late parts of the story, it is just stupid.
I may add that everyone was amazed that the mc is able to do alchemy without circles, I understand it logically but when you can just pull it off by drawing the circles on your gloves/hands, and almost everyone doing it makes actual attacks rather than simple shapeshift, it does seem completely useless.
Now, Fullmetal Alchemist does good things too. Basically many of the secondary casts are way deeper than the main ones and they do not have plot devices on their behalf, making them extremely interesting and exciting when they do move the scene.
Whether it is all the army's high ranking allies, some enemies or even the foreigners, they do pull it off in a godly manner. You'll remember them way more than the main cast and their parts are the best of the whole series.
They do have beliefs, improvements, moving parts. All the stillness that was here doesn't affect them making it a whole new story in itself.
I dare say that the beginning of the anime is boring because it is focused on the main cast while after having established some characters, the shift happens making it interesting.
The focus of the story cannot be with them unfortunately, making Fullmetal Alchemist a mix of low and high.
I can't wholly praise it when it is such a long watch and just deleting the boring parts would kill a lot of the understanding making it an impossible watch.

I'll have to say that this is my fault to have. The story actually begins the right way, giving off the tone of the 12 episodes, I just thought that it was rushed on purpose to come to the actual main focus being the wife in a child body.
That is what you would call a delusion.
There is a handful of drama and I will not spoil you on them. The whole point is that all the drama is as shallow as the fast-paced love story between the husband and the wife.
They worked together, the woman helped the guy, he got interested, they spent some time
...
together, got married, had a child, an accident happens.
I do know that it is supposed to be a beautiful love story by default but falling for the person that helps you isn't love, it's self-love.
And it is that poor level of thought that is the problem of the whole story.
You're supposedly having a good husband/father, and yet the guy doesn't even bother thinking that maybe he should bring the 9/10 years old girl that is his wife to her home at night rather than letting her go back alone.
I'm pretty sure that being loving and caring isn't in my qualities, and yet I was blank for a second seeing it.
Which obviously develops into a drama later.
Likewise, the child is supposedly under the shock of her mother's death.
Understandable, but when you know that she is just 20 something and the mother has been dead for 10 years, it feels weird to have a child with only the half of her life spent with a mother, still dragging on her loss. A child's life being shorter and having more movement than an adult one, it is easier to move on after such an event.
And yet, her time stopped 10 years on. You may wonder how was she actually able to go through the educational system with such a state of mind.
Likewise, her first client is her first love. And he is a good person.
I could keep on going on but beside the mother of the child, all the drama is empty and not having an ounce of truth about it. The idea of the husband being a good father/husband is also basically butchered at almost every turn, it would not work otherwise.
It is as if the author wanted to have the drama as the main focus, but without actually diving into the realism that would have made it actually touching.
The end result being just tiring and boring.
It does seem that the animation is making it shorter than it actually was, but I have a hard time believing that some buildup would save the day.

Coming from the anime, I must say that it is really not for the people liking the good aspect of it but rather the more juvenile one.
The Origin depends on a two facets logic, we will be shown one or the other all the story and there are some moments when those two parts meddle with each others. Which should be a good thing, if their affinity wasn't so disastrous.
You have the "evil" part. The characters are depicted to some extent, we are actually lacking the why at many instances having simply a personality but it is still worked around and their strategies/feelings aren't bad.
...
They often talk around the point leaving a feeling that many is left unsaid and will come back later, it is unfortunately not the case.
Those are interesting enough to make us want to dig up more about most of them. As it is a war after all, it is still easy to understand that not everyone can have the spotlight.
Then comes the "good" side. Shallow, actually almost none of the characters stay in mind. The MC is just a brat, which is understandable since he is a brat. Point is that he is the deeper character on the good side making all the other just awful.
They win all their fights. Because of a sixth sens, Gundam, kids, miracle, just because.
And guess what happen when the "good" side win? They spit on the "bad" one.
That is basically the more let down element of The Origin: The more interesting ones, that actually do a war, use strategy, have some motivations, a personality, get trashed by the bland ones thanks to some sixth sens, OP mecha, kids or whatever.
Once you get the formula, all their determination, fight to death, just change to some comic relief.
They'll just lose for no reason after all. How can we take them seriously?
Now, let's say that there is absolutely no reason even for those miracles to happen.
Gundam? A mobile suit prototype. The research on the enemy side is actually farther in, so they shouldn't be able to do something that overpowered. Let's add the fact that revolutions with the engine and alloy can't be done out of nowhere.
Sixth sens? New Type particularity. A sens developed by humanity going into space. MC's coming from earth, how the hell is he a new type? Most of them come from his crew while the enemy, the actual people from space, almost don't have them. Again, research is more advanced on the opposing side, and yet, it is always used against them.
Kids? I would rather avoid the subject. It was just awful.
So what is The Origin?
A the good guys win story.
Simple right?
That being said, it isn't high level writing to begin with.
Many are left unanswered, most of the important dialogues feel like people talking with themselves rather than each other, no character development only fight after fight, the love parts are only here to show the cruelty of war and sprout out of nowhere with no foretelling, characters are mostly characters without actual origins founding them, you get good lessons about how wars can be fought alone to be shown the contrary all along.
I would probably not even gotten interested if the animation actually adapted the beginning of the manga.
It is the spirit of the story, the past arc being just a spin-off in it.

This season does have a lot of series with traits from others popular ones, I'll give it that.
This common trait is also shared with the lack of the causes and consequences, and while I was hoping this one to be different, it was but a mere hope after all.
It isn't difficult to be aware of this lack right away. You just have to look at the reason for the title itself and the why aiming to be a villain and that'll be enough: because the heroine was all clean and proper so she felt better with the villainess. End.
Does it feel like a reason? Obviously
...
not. It seems more like a joke than anything but the story goes with it ironically representing the shallowness of the whole work.
If even the writer does not take his story seriously, why would anyone else does?
Then, it just keeps on going, using the pieces of what made that other work popular but without any background to make it real.
The MC is dense because why not. The prince fall for her because why not. All the characters of the game like her because why not. The game's MC too because why not. She suddenly says things out of nowhere making conversation not feel like conversation because why not.
The important part that would give weight to the story are completely out.
What was the game story? The one of the characters in the game? How come the MC was the rival of the game while being 5 years younger than the others? What is she doing while the time is skipped? How come the MC of the game is so cheerful while supposed to be bullied among nobles?
Nothing.
Why care? Basically, that's the idea. The more you watch it, the less you care.
And are we at fault when the author himself obviously didn't put any effort into his kinda "work"?
I would say no.

"I'm going to get this meeting"
"I finally got it after many trials"
"I did it"
Basically all the story.
I wondered why, even though the intrigue wasn't that bad, I did not feel to actually read the original work but now, after 12 episodes, I get it.
There is no climax.
It's like, look, I have my arc, I have the purpose of the arc, I have the troubles to get my purpose and, I win.
...
Win what? No freaking idea, but the purpose was gotten even if you have no idea in what way it'll help in the story nor what was even the point in the short term.
Aaaaand, that's basically the whole story of Karasu wa aruji wo erabanai.
You have complots but when it ends you just don't get what was even the point to begin them for most parts in it.
You have a twist but when you think about it, you don't get why the character would actually bother to do a twist having nothing to gain but all to lose from it.
Feel like all of them are just the puppets of the author, making them move because it's otherwise boring rather than having characters in a box moving by themselves.
Now, that's the case of most stories but there are still anchors saying that you need to bring the story there, but those here are so far away that you're basically watching fillers.
I dare say that of the twelves first episodes, you just have to watch 3 of them. The others are colors.
Oh, and the main character has almost nothing to do with the story too. Too bad, the mc is one of the few likeable one, he's just watching other people while getting as much as us.
Making the whole anime, like... Not bad but I remember almost nothing?
Which is to be expected when the arcs are useless and characters shallows.

Have a hard time to believe that I spent 10 episodes on this one. The opening is great but beside that.
There are basically four big flaws ruining it.
The first is the story.
It's just a kaii thingy, you don't even need a basic story to begin with but this one tried to go with it and is completely failing because the MC just doesn't care about what happens beside her.
So no matter how big of a mystery is laying around with an MC ignoring all of it without even a thought, it falls short.
The worst being that she goes with all the story because she is
...
supposedly a writer and want material and doesn't go to the actual material.
Not that the actual story is deep neither, you can guess it just at the first few episodes then it just unravels when none of the characters are here.
The second is the actual kaii.
You would think youkai and legends of the kind but here it's actually more like some ghost stories.
That would have been good in itself but the author had to put it in a youkai fashion explaining it using a bit of one youkai, another from a legend, the last bit from a theory and you basically have a weird mix of a bit of all just popping out at the end to explain it all as if there was actually some logic behind it.
The third one being the victims.
There is actually some background story on them on how they become how they are and a prey to the kaii, it's supposedly dark with bullying and bullying and some others (no, it's not only bullying, just mainly bullying), but it was just so shallow. Like, "even in the darkness, if you have your phone with you, you'll find some light" level.
Whole point being how they have become victims, you get it ? Victims. There was no good path for them. They've been broken one way or another and yet there is none with an actual shadow at them in their behavior.
The last one is the characters. Kind of goes with the why the impact of the third one is almost to none.
Basically, they are all young girls on the paper, some forty-year-old drunkard in fact.
They only talk about how the MC has big breasts or about panties. The character with the only conversations without those being the only guy.
Kind of feel a pattern here. It would be gross, pervert, just some sexual harassment if it was the guy saying them but, oh wait! They are girls! False alert, It 's safe!
Well it doesn't change the fact that those aren't the way normal people would speak, even less a middle-schooler in an all-girl school or an idol but, hey, who cares? More fanservi-actually no, even though you have a skirt up every two episodes, you don't see them so it's just character killing.
I wonder, does the Ecchi tag come mainly from their very girly conversations? I think I'm on something here.

Well, I'm one of those guys who love stories. You know, the thing that we don't really find in 3/4 of anything. And so, HDxD have a pretty decent story, it's a light novel after all, story is important. Writing skill too.
It's kind of sad thinking that the anime is pretty much a pair of tits. Pretty strong to put fanservice where there no need. Even better to do an ending and opening who is fanservice. And, hell, the anime is fanservice itself. That's big.
What ? You want something worth watching for ? Well, HDxD can be a very enjoyable material if you use it
...
for sexual enjoyment, I think. It's nearly uncensored for a good reason.
But if it's story that you want, go for the light novel or the manga. The anime will just put your mind upside down and made you wonder what the hell you are doing with your life. It could destroy your self-esteem. Seriously.

I just read some review about Kamisama Dolls, and, yeah, I saw the score too. It was quite funny so I'll talk my mind here.
Kamisama Dolls, at first it seems like a good anime. Art okay, Sound that you don't even hear -which is neither good or bad-, story seems great... Well, the characters are pretty shitty but Aki is here so you kind of find some comfort.
That's what you think when you've finished to watch the first episode.
But... You keep going on to just find out that while Kamisama Dolls makes 13 episodes, it could have be only 4. You're overbored most of the
...
time, you have episode who just shows the characters who aren't even worth a penny, others that are just here because of some psychological disorders from most of the characters, other are here to show us a new guy come in the game.
The thing is, all this don't even have a point.
The hero is a dumbass who goes all red for nothing, his sister have a brother complex and in the first episodes she makes all sort of sound (what is she thinking?), the hero's lover is limited to a pair of tits, etc, etc...
You know what is really sad ? It's the story. It isn't that bad it's just that when you don't know how to use the interesting points of your anime, you don't make it.
It can be a good anime to watch, but in this case, just watch the first, sixth, tenth and maybe the last episodes. The rest is just trash and even the end isn't a end. Kind of religious guy the producer to hope a second season when he has such an anime.
