U won't regret it. The common plot key: At the start of both, they create a bubble-like comfy environment (or maybe a comfort zone) {*} within which all the happenings occur. Meaning that though U will be intrigued, but you'll know in the corner of ur mind that the mc & the side characters won't be in any life danger... Like remember how the group was solving simple cases at the start in Charl? Likewise, here u'll see a group, which more or less acts like each other's leash from going astray and solve some basic conspiracies and stuff, not really important but needed for character backgrounds. But, at the near end, U will see that very bubble burst open, revealing and leading to a deeper plot which will collude with what you expected earlier from the show, giving a sense of character insecurity and unpredictability... And, both mc's show development in their personalities as the series progresses. Also to be noted, both feature selective people with sudden power rising and a city/region/world in turmoil because of those existences. Me personally, I find them alike since they give me a longing that there were 20+ more eps in between the start and ending plot, like they would continue what they were always doing as a side-job kinda, meeting new people, new short side-stories, etc. like just continue and not end... {*} {*} : Please forgive my language, couldn't find the right words to express the emotions I felt, thx for understanding :)
They both literally have almost same plot: 1. The mc is fired from their respective field of works. 2. The firing person/group later regrets and want to bring them back. 3. The mc in question refuses to return and settles peacefully with his wife in a town. 4. The fmc is quite physically powerful but cute. 5. The mc are useless in combat, but a key in holding the functions of group to not cease, in short key of holding them together. 6. The group is totally useless without mc. Differences: 1. The employer is Demon King Army in one and Hero Party in another. 2. In one, the person who fired him changed his personality as a good being, while another simply died. P.S. : imo 30 year one is better, cause the demon king is one to be respected, by audience too. His knowledge feels supreme. The hero is also a cuter girl, and the story doesnt feel rushy. Looks of this mc is good too ngl, compared to another. Ohh, and a caution, there aren't many spell usage in this, despite being fantasy, so keep that in mind. Happy Watching :)
