It was okay.

It's one of those animes with nice animations to spend time on a Sunday afternoon. However, that's about it. Even the musical aspect, which seemed like it was going to have weight in the plot, sometimes loses it in the middle of the drama.

If we talk about the characters, I only liked the young version of Shinnosuke. His adult version seemed like a jerk to me, Aoi was too dramatic and hysterical, and his sister, Akane, was too passive. I always expected her to explode at some point, but all she had were soft and evasive answers.

As I said, the anime ... is nice and entertaining (at least). In a couple of scenes, they use real photographic backgrounds and draw the characters on top, and the truth is that it doesn't look good at all. The photography doesn't combine with the rest of the drawings and it's very distracting.

I recommend it if you're bored and want to watch something.

Es uno de esos animes con animaciones bonitas para pasar el rato una tarde de domino. Sin embargo, no aporta nada más allá de eso. Incluso el aspecto musical, que parecía que iba a tener peso en la trama, a veces pierde peso en medio del drama.

Si hablamos de los personajes, sólo me gustó la versión joven de Shinnosuke. Su versión adulta me pareció un patán, Aoi era demasiado dramática e histérica, y su hermana, Akane, era demasiado pasiva. Siempre esperé a que explotara en algún momento, pero lo único que tenía eran respuestas suaves y evasivas.

Como dije, el anime es bonito y entretenido (al menos). En un par de escenas se utilizan fondos de fotografías reales y dibujan a los personajes por encima, y la verdad no queda nada bien. La fotografía no logra mimetizarse con el resto de dibujos y desconcentra mucho.

Lo recomiendo si están aburridos y quieren ver algo.

I loved this anime!

The plot is very simple, but it works, because the anime doesn't try or pretend to be more complex than it shows. Personally, I found it very comforting to watch, I had a lot of fun, I loved all the characters and, without a doubt, I would like to continue watching something related to this story.

The short duration of the episodes is perfect to not get bored and leave you wanting more.

‘Play it cool, guys!’ it's a comfort anime, nothing more. It's not pretentious at all. Sometimes the jokes can be repetitive, but that doesn't make them any less funny.

I ... definitely recommend it if you like watching slice of life where nothing happens.

La trama es muy simple, pero funciona, porque el anime no busca ni pretende ser más complejo de lo que muestra. En lo personal me resultó muy reconfortante verlo, me divertí mucho, me encantaron todos los personajes y, sin duda, me gustaría seguir viendo algo relacionado a esta historia.

La corta duración de los episodios es perfecta para no aburrir y dejarte con ganas de más.

Play it cool, guys! es un anime de confort, nada más. No es pretencioso en absoluto. En ocasiones las bromas pueden llegar a ser repetitivas, pero no por eso me causaron menos gracia.

Sin duda lo recomiendo mucho si les gustan los slice of life donde no pasa nada.

It was okay. I don't have much to say about this anime. It's like any other Spokon, with the difference that the characters don't go to high school or college, but work for a company. This aspect, however, makes no difference to the plot and hardly any difference to the characters' personalities and roles in the anime.

There are some scenes or issues regarding the characters' jobs, but they are not explored in depth. Considering that the characters are already adults and work, I expected more maturity and complexity in the anime. It's not realistic in the sense that surely not many workers have ... the opportunity, time, and energy to play a sport. I'm not saying that adults don't play sports, but I'm sure (as an adult myself) that they have some difficulties about it, like lack of free time, money, or, as I said, energy after the work day.
In this case, only one of the characters has a family, and it's the one that has the most difficulties to play, but still, once he decides to do it, his life is resolved almost from one moment to the next. His family works as an excuse for drama and not to show a reality.

Maybe I'm asking too much of a Spokon, but I'm sure they don't necessarily have to be pure entertainment and they can show problems and reflect on them. Salaryman's plot was ideal for that.

No character stands out. The anime tries to develop them all and I appreciate that, but it doesn't work, especially since this development lasts only one or two chapters (at most). Everything is resolved in a very convenient and cheesy way, even the ending.

I don't think it's bad, it's entertaining, but I can't say it's good either. It's okay.

Estuvo bien. No tengo mucho que decir sobre este anime. Es como cualquier otro Spokon, con la diferencia de que los personajes no van a la escuela secundaria ni a la universidad, sino que trabajan para una empresa. Este aspecto, sin embargo, no hace ninguna diferencia en la trama y apenas en las personalidades y roles de los personajes en el anime.

Hay algunas escenas o problemáticas con respecto al trabajo de los personajes, pero no se profundiza en ello. Teniendo en cuenta que los personajes ya son adultos y trabajan, esperaba más madurez y complejidad en el anime. No es realista en el sentido de que seguramente no muchos trabajadores tienen la oportunidad, el tiempo y la energía para practicar un deporte. Quizás le esté pidiendo demasiado a un Spokon, pero estoy segura de que no tienen que ser necesariamente puro entretenimiento y que pueden mostrar problemáticas y reflexionar sobre ellas. La trama de Salaryman era ideal para ello.

I have a bittersweet feeling about this movie.

I enjoyed the second half, but the first half was... weird. The plot was all over the place.

When I first started watching it, I thought the plot would be about the Inter-High and I liked that it wasn't the case because the anime took a different path than most Spokons. The problem is, like I said, that the plot takes a long time to start. I had a hard time understanding where it was going.

This made the movie boring until halfway through. I remember being already at minute forty and feeling like the movie hadn't even ... started yet. I even did other things in the meantime because it wasn't entertaining at all.

HOWEVER, I really liked the rest of the movie. Watari has a bigger role than in the anime and I liked that it wasn't all flowers and rainbows all the time. Like I said, I like that the plot takes a different path than the usual competitions we see in most Spokons. It feels a bit more personal and shows other sides of the boys.

What I didn't like about this part were the scenes with the Hakumei team. I didn't find them necessary. I would have preferred the boys to perfect the choreography themselves.

Some of the characters' resolutions were rushed, for example Misato's decision about college. It lacked development, considering he changed his mind from one moment to the next, after an entire anime and movie.

The animation, just like in the anime, is good. Considering it's a movie, maybe the animation studio could have made an effort to animate the gymnastics performances in 2D instead of 3D, but the rest is fine.

At this point, I was a little tired of seeing the same choreography that the team did in the anime. I understand that making and learning a choreography like that must be very complicated, but considering that it's an anime about rhythmic gymnastics and to show how great the choreographies and discipline are, they could have done at least ONE different choreography for the movie. Plus, they always showed the choreography from the same angle (recycling animations). Spoiler: Even the final choreography between both teams was a fusion of each other's choreographies.

Do I recommend it? If you're a fan of the anime, yes. It's nice to see the boys again and there are some really touching scenes that will make you smile (or even cry), BUT I don't think it's a good movie. It's okay. Just okay.

Esta película me dejó una sensación agridulce.

Disfruté la segunda mitad, pero la primera fue... extraña. La trama era un caos.

Cuando comencé a verla, pensé que la trama sería sobre el Inter-High y me gustó que no haya sido el caso, porque el anime tomó un camino diferente al de la mayoría de los Spokons. El problema es que, como dije, la trama tarda en comenzar mucho. Me costaba entender hacia dónde se dirigía.

Esto hizo que la película fuera aburrida hasta la mitad. Recuerdo que ya estaba en el minuto cuarenta y sentir que la película aún no había comenzado. Incluso hice otras cosas mientras tanto porque no era entretenida en absoluto.

SIN EMBARGO, me gustó mucho el resto de la película. Watari tiene un papel más importante que en el anime y me gustó que no todo fuera flores y arcoíris todo el tiempo. Como dije, me gusta que la trama tome un camino diferente al de las competencias habituales que vemos en la mayoría de los spokons. Se siente un poco más personal y muestra otros aspectos de los chicos.

Lo que no me gustó de esta parte fueron las escenas del equipo de Hakumei. No las vi necesarias. Fueron bastante forzadas y hubiese preferido que los chicos perfeccionaran la coreografía ellos mismos.

Algunas resoluciones de los personajes fueron apresuradas, por ejemplo la decisión de Misato sobre la universidad. Le faltó desarrollo, teniendo en cuenta que cambió de parecer de un momento al otro, después de todo un anime y de la película.

La animación, al igual que en el anime, es buena. Teniendo en cuenta que es una película, tal vez el estudio de animación podría haber hecho un esfuerzo para animar las actuaciones gimnásticas en 2D en lugar de 3D, pero el resto está bien.

Llegados a este punto, estaba un poco cansada de ver la misma coreografía que el equipo hizo en el anime. entiendo que hacer y aprenderse una coreografía así debe ser muy complicado, pero teniendo en cuenta que es un anime acerca de gimnasia rítmica y mostrar lo grandiosas que son las coreografías y la disciplina, podrían haber hecho al menos UNA coreografía diferente para la película. Además, siempre mostraban la coreografía desde el mismo ángulo (reciclando animaciones). Spoiler: Incluso la coreografía final entre ambos equipos era una fusión de las respectivas coreografías de cada uno.

¿Lo recomiendo? Si eres fan del anime, sí. Es agradable volver a ver a los chicos y hay algunas escenas realmente conmovedoras que te harán sonreír (o incluso llorar), PERO no creo que sea una buena película. Está bien. Simplemente bien.

I was reluctant to watch it at first, as I always do when I start a spokon, because many of them are the same anime with a different sport. In this case, even though the structure is similar to other anime and the characters are stereotypical, I don't feel like Bakuten is like others. I can't exactly explain why.

First of all, the animation is really beautiful, as are the character designs. My only problem is the 3D in the rhythmic gymnastics performances. I don't have a problem with 3D animation, if the whole anime is in 3D, like 'Beastars' (for example). But in ... a 2D anime, it stands out a lot (in a bad way) if there are parts in 3D. I understand why they used it, because the performances seem difficult to animate in 2D, but, at the same time, I wish they did. I think it could have made the anime more beautiful and memorable.

What I like most about Bakuten is the relationships between the characters and their relationship with gymnastics. I like how they inspire each other to do it and how a chain of inspiration is created from that. I think that's how sport, art, and life in general works. We all inspire others to do, like, try something, or be a certain way.

Bakuten focus a lot on this aspect, even more than on the sport part. I like it, because one thing I don't usually like about some spokons is the fact that the characters seem to have nothing else in their lives other than the sport they practice. In the case of Bakuten, we get to know their interests, their families, how they end up practicing gymnastics; and we get to know the boys, we learn about them and their personalities.

However, there is a lot to delve into in the anime. For example, all the time the characters comment that male rhythmic gymnastics is not something common and doesn’t even have a professional future. I would like to know how the boys feel about doing something that is not “masculine” according to society. I would like to know how they see themselves, if they experience any kind of discrimination in their daily life because of it. It could make the anime a bit more complex.

I always say that I don’t mind seeing stereotypical characters in an anime because I like to see what they do with them, beyond the stereotype. BUT at this point I would like to see something more. We even have a Kageyama, with the same character design (there is one in each spokon) and even the same voice actor. The only difference between Kageyama and Misato is that Misato is a bit softer. The rest of the characters are the same characters you will find in any other spokon.

The only character I couldn't stand is the manager. I feel like she didn't contribute anything to the story and I don't like this type of character at all (not managers, but this type of female character).

I recommend watching it because it is entertaining and all the scenes comparing gymnastics to birds are beautiful.

Al principio me resistía a verlo como siempre que empiezo un spokon, porque hay muchos que son el mismo anime con un deporte diferente. En este caso, aunque la estructura es similar a otros animes y los personajes son estereotípicos, no siento que Bakuten sea como otros. No puedo explicar exactamente por qué.

En primer lugar, la animación es realmente hermosa, al igual que los diseños de los personajes. Mi único problema es el 3D en las actuaciones de gimnasia rítmica. No tengo ningún problema con la animación 3D, si todo el anime es en 3D, como 'Beastars' (por ejemplo). Pero en un anime 2D, destaca mucho (para mal) si hay partes en 3D. Entiendo por qué lo usaron, porque las actuaciones parecen difíciles de animar en 2D, pero, al mismo tiempo, me hubiese gustado que lo hicieran. Creo que podría haber hecho que el anime sea más hermoso y memorable.

Lo que más me gusta de Bakuten son las relaciones entre los personajes y su relación con la gimnasia. Me gusta cómo se inspiran entre ellos para practicarla y cómo se crea una cadena de inspiración a partir de ello. Creo que así es como funciona el deporte, el arte y la vida en general. Todos inspiramos a otros a hacer, gustar, intentar algo o ser de una determinada manera.

Bakuten pone mucha atención en este aspecto, incluso más que en la parte deportiva. Me gusta, porque una cosa que no me suele gustar de algunos spokons es el hecho de que los personajes parecen no tener nada más en sus vidas que el deporte que practican. En el caso de Bakuten, conocemos sus intereses, sus familias, cómo acaban practicando gimnasia; y conocemos a los chicos, aprendemos sobre ellos y sus personalidades.

Sin embargo, hay mucho en lo que profundizar en el anime. Por ejemplo, todo el tiempo los personajes comentan que la gimnasia rítmica masculina no es algo común y ni siquiera tiene un futuro profesional. Me gustaría saber cómo se sienten los chicos al hacer algo que no es “masculino” según la sociedad y suele ser un deporte “femenino”. Me gustaría saber cómo se sienten al respecto, cómo se ven ellos mismos, si experimentan algún tipo de discriminación en su vida diaria por ello. Podría hacer el anime un poco más complejo.

Siempre digo que no me molesta ver personajes estereotipicos en un anime porque me gusta ver lo que hacen con ellos, más allá del estereotipo. PERO en este punto me gustaría ver algo más. Incluso tenemos un Kageyama, con el mismo diseño de personaje (hay uno en cada spokon) e incluso el mismo actor de voz. La única diferencia entre Kageyama y Misato es que Misato es un poco más suave. El resto de los personajes son los mismos personajes que encontrarás en cualquier otro spokon.

El único personaje al que no pude soportar es a la manager. Siento que no aportó nada en la historia y además este tipo de personaje no me gusta para nada (no las managers, sino este tipo de personaje femenino).

Recomiendo verlo porque es entretenido y todas las escenas comparando la gimnasia con pájaros son hermosas.

It was cute, I guess.

The idea of ​​a girl who doesn't fall in love from the start and prefers to learn what love is seemed very interesting to me, after so many stories where the characters fall in love with each other in the first chapter. That part of the anime was good. I loved seeing how Hotaru learns about love and the different types of love, and that, although not all relationships are the same and the feelings the same, these are valid anyway.

The rest of the anime was... okay. If I like how Hotaru falls in love chapter by chapter, I ... don't like Hananoi's instant and dependent love. It was a bit annoying most of the time. On one hand, I like that the anime and Hananoi himself don't romanticize his behavior, but at the same time, it doesn't go beyond that. We only have one or two chapters to explore Hananoi's feelings and past, but it all ends there. He changes a little bit and learn some things about how to love, but it was not enough for me.

The secondary characters were okay, predictable and stereotypical.

My biggest problem is, without a doubt, the animation and the drawing. It's... ugly. The close-ups are decent, but the rest of the drawing is just bad. Really bad. At the same time, the animation doesn't stand out at all, it's pretty average; and since the drawing is so ugly, everything feels ugly.

The story overall was entertaining. Neither good nor bad. When something like that happens, the animation can balance the anime and make it more enjoyable to watch. Since that's not the case, everything just feels forgettable. I don't think I'll remember anything from the anime.

Something I also don't like is Hotaru's voice. Kana Hanazawa, the voice actress, is really good. At the same time I was watching this anime, I was watching 'March comes like a lion'; here Hanazawa does the voice of Hinata and it sounds really good. In Hotaru's case, it was just an ugly voice, quite annoying. It's clearly a decision by the voice actor director and not Kana Hanazawa's fault, but it was quite painful to listen to.

I guess the anime it's entertaining, it has some tender moments and some interesting questions about love and relationships. I think someone the characters' age or younger will enjoy the anime more, because it has a lot about first experiences.

La idea de una chica que no se enamora desde el principio y prefiere aprender qué es el amor me pareció muy interesante, después de tantas historias en las que los personajes se enamoran el uno del otro en el primer capítulo. Esa parte del anime fue buena. Me encantó ver cómo Hotaru aprende sobre el amor y los diferentes tipos de amor, y que, aunque no todas las relaciones son iguales y los sentimientos los mismos, estos son válidos de todos modos.

El resto del anime estuvo... bien. Si me gusta cómo Hotaru se enamora capítulo a capítulo, no me gusta el amor instantáneo y dependiente de Hananoi. Fue un poco molesto la mayor parte del tiempo. Por un lado, me gusta que el anime y el propio Hananoi no romanticen su comportamiento, pero al mismo tiempo, no se va más allá de eso. Algo que tampoco me gusta es la voz de Hotaru. Kana Hanazawa, la actriz de doblaje, es realmente buena. Al mismo tiempo que veía este anime, estaba viendo 'March comes like a lion'; aquí Hanazawa hace la voz de Hinata y suena muy bien. I enjoyed 'Wolf’s Rain' from the very first chapter. I must say that I love wolves, so just seeing them on screen was enough for me.

I have a bittersweet feeling about the anime. Like I said, I loved it. I enjoyed it so much, I couldn’t stop watching it. The premise is nothing new, the characters are basically stereotypes, and post-apocalyptic futures are not my thing, but the anime executed all of these aspects in an excellent way. The characters’ goal is clear, and they move towards it almost without hesitation. It makes the viewer have a clear idea of ​​where the series ... is going. And I appreciate that.

Speaking of the characters, even if they are stereotypes, they all have well-developed personalities that complement each other and reflect a specific trope of the story. All the wolves have different backgrounds, but at the end of the day, they are all wolves. Same for the humans, there are good ones and bad ones, but they all have their reasons and contexts. What I don’t like as much are the Nobles, I don’t understand them like the rest of the cast. There is a lack of information and development about them.

I want to make a special mention to Blue, Cher and Cheza. In general I like how the anime portrays these three women, their feelings, their strengths, fears and desires.
I don't think I like the extreme dependence that Blue has on Quent, but I understand where this comes from. And I don't understand her sudden relationship with Hige, but I like her toughness and the way she stands up for herself and her place in this cold and grey world.
Cher is a scientist who gives everything she has for her passion, even her marriage; I'm not saying that it's good to give up on something or someone we love, but in this case, it speaks of how great her passion is and at the same time, how she has no hope for the future. Why would she have children in a world with no hope for them? Aren't we in the same situation right now?
Also, even though Cheza has a loving and tender personality, that doesn't make her dependent or weak, but quite the opposite. I admire her strength, her boundless love for wolves and the world. At first I thought, “oh no, I’m going to hate her.” But I didn’t. I don’t think I’ll love Cheza, but I like her a lot.

I don’t usually like stories that have a journey, but in this case I didn’t suffer that much, because it was very entertaining to watch. However, some chapters felt repetitive: the characters never reach their destination because they get distracted by one thing or another each time. The positive part of this is that we learn more about the world building, but sometimes it gets tiring. It must be said that most of the situations the characters go through are resolved in a very convenient way.

The animation is very good and I really like the character design. However, I have one question… why is Tsume dressed like that? Doesn’t he feel cold showing his stomach? (Yes, I know I sound like a grandma, maybe I am). ANYWAY, he slays.

What I don’t like about the anime: the ending, basically. There will be spoilers.
Let’s talk about the last four chapters, also known as OVAs. Chapter 26 has a pretty optimistic ending from my perspective, but it gets ruined by Chapter 27 and the rest of the series. After watching the anime, it was obvious that asking for a happy ending was a bit unrealistic, but I didn't expect it to be so… sad. Even if the wolves don't find the paradise, I at least wanted them to be together, I wanted these lone wolves to have a pack, a family. But… we don't even have that.

The ending is ambiguous and doesn't have a shred of hope. Spoiler: even if Kiba, Toboe, Hige, and Tsume are alive now (reincarnated or whatever), they're not together. I mean… we don't know. We don't know anything. Have they been reincarnated? Do they have memories of their previous lives? Do they know each other? Are they happy in this new city? I was expecting a real paradise and what seems to be the paradise is just another… city. I don't know. It seems like the plot itself doesn't make sense if this is the end. Everyone suffers (humans, flowers, wolves) just so another city can come to life? And what happened to Blue?

I want to forget that I watched the last four episodes and imagine my beautiful boys together and, hopefully, in a true paradise.

Disfruté de 'Wolf’s Rain' desde el primer capítulo. Debo decir que amo a los lobos, así que solo verlos en la pantalla fue suficiente para mí.

Tengo un sentimiento agridulce sobre el anime. Como dije, me encantó. Lo disfruté mucho, no podía dejar de verlo. La premisa no es nada nuevo, los personajes son básicamente estereotipos y los futuros postapocalípticos no son lo mío, pero el anime ejecutó todos estos aspectos de una manera excelente. El objetivo de los personajes es claro y se mueven hacia él casi sin dudarlo. Hace que el espectador tenga una idea clara de hacia dónde se dirige la serie. Y aprecio eso.

Hablando de los personajes, incluso si son estereotipos, todos tienen personalidades bien desarrolladas que se complementan entre sí y reflejan un tropo específico de la historia. Todos los lobos tienen diferentes antecedentes, pero al final del día, todos son lobos. Lo mismo para los humanos, los hay buenos y malos, pero todos tienen sus razones y contextos. Lo que no me gusta tanto son los Nobles, no los entiendo como al resto del elenco. Falta información y desarrollo sobre ellos.

Quiero hacer una mención especial a Blue, Cher y Cheza. En general me gusta como el anime retrata a estas tres mujeres, sus sentimientos, sus fortalezas, miedos y deseos.
No creo que me guste la dependencia extrema que Blue tiene con Quent, pero entiendo de dónde viene esto. Y no entiendo su repentina relación con Hige, pero me gusta su rudeza y la forma en la que se defiende a sí misma y a su lugar en este mundo frío y gris.
Cher es una científica que da todo lo que tiene por su pasión, incluso su matrimonio; no digo que sea bueno renunciar a algo o alguien que amamos, pero en este caso, habla de lo grande que es su pasión y, al mismo tiempo, de cómo no tiene ninguna esperanza en el futuro. ¿Por qué tendría hijos en un mundo sin esperanza para ellos? ¿No estamos en la misma situación ahora mismo?
Además, aunque Cheza tenga una personalidad cariñosa y tierna, eso no la hace dependiente o débil, sino todo lo contrario. Admiro su fuerza, su amor ilimitado por los lobos y el mundo. Al principio pensé: “oh, no, la voy a odiar”. Pero no fue así. No creo que la ame, pero me gusta mucho.

Normalmente no me gustan las historias que tienen un viaje, pero en este caso no sufrí tanto, porque fue muy entretenido de ver. Sin embargo, algunos capítulos se sintieron repetitivos: los personajes nunca llegan a su destino porque se distraen con una cosa u otra cada vez. La parte positiva de esto es que conocemos más sobre la construcción del mundo, pero a veces se vuelve cansador. Hay que decir que la mayoría de las situaciones por las que pasan los personajes se resuelven de una manera muy conveniente.

La animación es muy buena y me gusta mucho el diseño de los personajes. Sin embargo, tengo una pregunta… ¿por qué Tsume está vestido así? ¿No siente frío mostrando su estómago? (Sí, sé que sueno como una abuela, tal vez lo sea). DE TODOS MODOS, es genial.

Lo que no me gusta del anime: el final, básicamente. Seguro habrán spoilers. Hablemos de los últimos cuatro capítulos, también conocidos como OVAs. El capítulo 26 tiene un final bastante optimista desde mi perspectiva, pero se arruina con el capítulo 27 y el resto del anime. Después de ver el anime, era obvio que pedir un final feliz era un poco irreal, pero no esperaba que sea fuera tan… triste. Aunque los lobos no encuentren el paraíso, al menos quería que estén juntos, quería que estos lobos solitarios tengan una manada, una familia. Pero… ni siquiera tenemos eso.

El final es ambiguo y no tiene ni un ápice de esperanza. Spoiler: aunque ahora Kiba, Toboe, Hige y Tsume estén vivos (reencarnados o lo que sea), no están juntos. Es decir… no lo sabemos. No sabemos nada. ¿Han reencarnado? ¿Tienen recuerdos de sus vidas anteriores? ¿Se conocen? ¿Son felices en esta nueva ciudad? Esperaba un paraíso de verdad y lo que parece ser el paraíso es solo otra… ciudad. No lo sé. Parece que la trama en sí no tiene sentido si este es el final. ¿Todos sufren (humanos, flores, lobos) solo para que otra ciudad cobre vida? ¿Y qué pasó con Blue?

Quiero olvidar que vi los últimos cuatro episodios e imaginarme a mis hermosos niños juntos y, con suerte, en un verdadero paraíso.

De todas formas, recomiendo verla. Es hermosa.

I loved it.

I don't know if I can explain why.

It's been a while since I enjoyed a spokon so much. The anime caught my attention from the beginning. Even though it's the same old story, the essence is a bit different. There's a lot of comedy, but at the same time there are a lot of deep moments that I don't find in most spokons. The characters are the same old stereotypes, but they feel different or at least more complex. As I mentioned, it's hard to explain what makes this anime good.

Let's talk about the animation. For me, it's above most spokons, ... not counting KyoAni's. The art direction doesn't stand out, but the animation is REALLY good. The details, the colors, the drawing, everything is vivid. I was thinking about 'Chainsaw Man' the whole time and it's because the animation studio is the same.

I like all the characters, but Todo and Chihaya are my favorites. It's a bit weird because most of the time I would prefer a character like Haruka, but this time I found more complexity in Todo and Chihaya. There is an arc for each of them and they are my favorite episodes of the season.

The anime basically tells the story of some prodigies, like Haruka, Todo, Chihaya, some others, and almost Kei, although he doesn't remember being this amazing player. As I said before, the anime is very funny. Most of the time, Kei would seem to be the comic relief, but that's not exactly the case. The funny thing is that he's not funny, but the rest of the cast has the same reaction as the viewer and makes comments about how unfunny Kei is. I think it's on purpose and it works (at least for me). I wish there was more information about Kei and Haruka, but I guess that will be in the next seasons.

As the narrator is Yamada. He's not a prodigy, but a very normal guy. Still, Yamada is not your typical shy, useless guy who is learning baseball. He already knows how to play, he's just not as good as the prodigies. And the good thing is that none of these prodigies have a superior attitude towards him and the rest of the team, but quite the opposite. Yamada is, in fact, the one who sets the order. There is no captain yet, but I think Yamada could be a good one.

Speaking of superiority complexes, I think the prodigies are only aggressive towards each other, probably because they see each other as rivals, something they don't see in non-prodigy characters.

As I mentioned, 'Oblivion Battery' is very funny and deep at the same time. The plots are not exactly original, but they are developed in a more meaningful and deep way. Even though Todo and Chihaya have returned to baseball, it doesn't mean that everything is fine now. They still have a lot to do.

A spoiler: when Kei got his memories back, I was happy because I prefer the original Kei to the brainless character we have the rest of the time, but at the same time I thought: "if he already got his memories back, what will the anime be about? “Is this it?” This is considering that if Haruka and Kei play as usual, there will be no one to present a challenge and no chance for improvement for the characters.

I know nothing about baseball and have no interest in the sport, but I enjoyed the anime anyway.

It’s weird that the manga isn’t popular and I haven’t heard anything about the anime either. ‘Oblivion Battery’ doesn’t even have an English translation (either in print or online). The anime has a great cast of voice actors!

I highly recommend it. Keep in mind that it’s nothing new, but it’s entertaining and I have a feeling it will get better.

No sé si podré explicar por qué.

Hacía tiempo que no disfrutaba tanto de un spokon. El anime me llamó la atención desde el principio. Aunque es la misma historia de siempre, la esencia es un poco diferente. Hay mucha comedia, pero al mismo tiempo hay muchos momentos profundos que no encuentro en la mayoría de spokons. Los personajes son los mismos estereotipos de siempre, pero se sienten diferentes o al menos más complejos. Como mencioné, es difícil explicar qué hace bueno a este anime.

Hablemos de la animación. Para mí, está por encima de la mayoría de spokons, sin contar los de KyoAni. La dirección de arte no destaca, pero la animación es REALMENTE buena. Los detalles, los colores, el dibujo, todo es vívido. Todo el tiempo estaba pensando en 'Chainsaw Man' y es porque el estudio de animación es el mismo.

Me gustan todos los personajes, pero Todo y Chihaya son mis favoritos. Es un poco raro porque la mayoría de las veces preferiría un personaje como Haruka, pero esta vez encontré más complejidad en Todo y Chihaya. Hay un arco para cada uno de ellos y son mis episodios favoritos de la temporada.

El anime básicamente cuenta la historia de algunos prodigios, como Haruka, Todo, Chihaya, algunos otros, y casi Kei, aunque él no recuerda haber sido este increíble jugador. Como dije antes, el anime es muy divertido. La mayor parte del tiempo, Kei parecería ser el alivio cómico, pero no es exactamente el caso. Lo gracioso es que él no es gracioso, pero el resto del elenco tiene la misma reacción que el espectador y hace comentarios sobre lo poco gracioso que es Kei. Creo que es a propósito y funciona (al menos para mí). Ojalá hubiera más información sobre Kei y Haruka, pero supongo que será en las próximas temporadas.

Como narrador está Yamada. No es un prodigio, sino un chico bastante normal. Aun así, Yamada no es el típico chico tímido e inútil que está aprendiendo béisbol. Ya sabe jugar, sólo que no es tan bueno como los prodigios. Y lo bueno es que ninguno de estos prodigios tiene una actitud de superioridad con él y el resto del equipo, sino todo lo contrario. Yamada es, de hecho, el que pone orden. Aún no hay un capitán, pero creo que Yamada podría ser uno bueno.

Hablando de complejos de superioridad, creo que los prodigios sólo son agresivos entre ellos, seguramente porque se ven como rivales, algo que no ven en los personajes que no son prodigios.

Como mencioné, 'Oblivion Battery' es muy divertido y profundo a la vez. Las tramas no son precisamente originales, pero están desarrolladas de una manera más significativa y profunda. Aunque Todo y Chihaya haya vuelto al béisbol, no significa que todo esté bien ahora. Aún les queda mucho por hacer.

Un spoiler: cuando Kei recuperó sus recuerdos, me alegré porque prefiero al Kei original antes que al personaje sin cerebro que tenemos el resto del tiempo, pero al mismo tiempo pensé: “si ya recuperó sus recuerdos, ¿de qué tratará el anime? ¿Esto es todo?”. Esto teniendo en cuenta que si Haruka y Kei juegan como siempre, no habrá nadie que les presente un desafío y ninguna posibilidad de mejora para los personajes.

No sé nada de béisbol y no tengo ningún interés en el deporte, pero disfruté del anime de todos modos.

Es raro que el manga no sea popular y tampoco he escuchado nada sobre el anime. 'Oblivion Battery' ni siquiera tiene una traducción al inglés (ni en papel ni online). ¡El anime tiene un gran elenco de seiyuus!

Lo recomiendo mucho. Tengan en cuenta que no es nada nuevo, pero es entretenido y tengo la sensación de que mejorará.

I didn't like it.

I was prepared to like 'Wind Breaker', but it didn't. I started the anime thinking it was going to be about gangs and honor and fights and all that. But... I discovered an anime about winning fights with the power of friendship and knowing and accepting yourself. There's nothing wrong with that, but in this case it feels childish and incoherent.

I have no problem with stereotypical characters, but in the case of 'Wind Breaker', they offer nothing more than the stereotype. I don't like any of the characters, I don't care about any of them.

As the plot progressed, I started ... to get confused. Is that what this season was going to be about? Is that all? Nothing happens in the season. There's a lot of "fights", but there's no real plot beyond, as I mentioned, the power and importance of friendship and all that.

I don't understand what the Furin is. Are there no teachers? No classes? What do a group of teenagers do without supervision and no plans for the future, at least to finish school? (I feel old thinking about this but I can't stop thinking about it.)

The idea is interesting, but the development is not. The beginning is not that bad, but as the anime progresses, it becomes boring and more boring.

No me gustó.

Estaba preparada para que me gustara 'Wind Breaker', pero no fue así. Empecé el anime pensando que iba a ser sobre pandillas y honor y peleas y todo eso. Pero... descubrí un anime sobre ganar peleas con el poder de la amistad y conocerse y aceptarse a uno mismo. No hay nada malo en eso, pero en este caso se siente infantil e incoherente.

No tengo problemas con los personajes estereotipados, pero en el caso de 'Wind Breaker', no ofrecen nada más que el estereotipo. No me gusta ninguno de los personajes, no me importa ninguno de ellos.

A medida que avanzaba la trama, empecé a confundirme. ¿De eso se trataría esta temporada? ¿Eso es todo? No pasa nada en la temporada. Hay muchas "peleas", pero no hay una trama real más allá de, como mencioné, el poder y la importancia de la amistad y todo eso.

No entiendo qué es el Furin. ¿No hay profesores? ¿Ni clases? ¿Qué hacen un grupo de adolescentes sin supervisión y sin planes de futuro, al menos para terminar la escuela? (Me siento vieja pensando en esto pero no puedo deja de pensar en ello).

La idea es interesante, pero el desarrollo no lo es. El comienzo no es tan malo, pero a medida que avanza el anime, se vuelve aburrido y más aburrido.

It feels... soulless?

If you've already seen 'The Apothecary Diaries' or 'Yatagarasu', 'Raven of the inner palace' has more or less the same essence, setting, power games in palaces, and a detective context. BUT 'Raven of the inner palace' doesn't have a soul like the others.

It's repetitive. Each chapter is the same as the previous one and the situations are resolved in exactly the same way (it even has the same animation).

The animation isn't as good as in 'Yatagarasu' and 'The Apothecary Diaries'. It's average, as is the character design.

It was really boring to watch. At first I had hopes because it seemed interesting, ... but it's not or at least the repetitive aspect kills the entertaining part.

The characters are stereotypes without much more to offer. I don't have a problem with stereotypes if the characters develop throughout the chapters and offer something more. This is not the case.

I don't recommend it

Si ya has visto ‘The Apothecary Diaries’ o ‘Yatagarasu’, ‘Raven of the inner palace’ tiene más o menos la misma esencia, ambientación, juegos de poder en palacios, y un contexto detectivesco. PERO 'Raven of the inner palace' no tiene alma como las demás.

Es repetitiva. Cada capítulo es igual que el anterior y las situaciones se resuelven exactamente de la misma forma (incluso tiene la misma animación).

La animación no es tan buena como en 'Yatagarasu' y 'The Apothecary Diaries'. Es normalita, al igual que el diseño de los personajes.

Fue realmente aburrida de ver. Al principio tenía esperanzas porque parecía interesante, pero no lo es o al menos el aspecto repetitivo mata la parte entretenida.

Los personajes son estereotipos sin mucho más que ofrecer. No tengo problema con los estereotipos si los personajes se desarrollan a lo largo de los capítulos y ofrecen algo más. No es el caso.

No lo recomiendo.
