There are many words that can describe my short but borderline life-changing experience with this manga. However, I cannot simply label it in a few words and just call it a day, it would seem rather unfair and downright stupid. My point is, "masterpiece" or a 10/10 rating would be the average that anyone should rate this. Where do I even begin, the writing, the characters, the world-setting, the point-of-view of which it was written, there are so on-point that the reader will not realize that it took them for granted while cruising through the chapters.

first it seems a rather simple story but the way it unfolds as chapters and pages go by is just impeccable. It starts slowly, not rushing things but not delaying them in any way, you see, that's one quality of the manga, it does not block the road of the story with unnecessary things. While taking it's time it focuses on explaining the story more and allows the character introductions, which is not that easily accomplished given that the characters are maybe the key and most powerful factor in this whole manga.
Well, let's start with introducing what we are working here, I won't go much in to detail about the characters, not because I am bored (or am I) but because it feels like a spoiler to me, the writer decided to not go into to depth of every character right from the get-go. Furthermore, the writer explains the character's background while narrating the story slowly but surely steadily.
Almost all of the main and side-characters are going through a peculiar time of their life given that they are on their second year of high-school, you know the drill, life choices, career paths, relationships, hobbies. Like it or not, the manga tends to focus on these things to almost every character to a certain extent. The reader can even label it a Slice of Life, but the romance and drama are not to question here whatsoever. If I can summarize the story, the characters are trying to navigate through their life, deciding what is best for them while trying to overcome the doubts, trauma and stigma in their heads. Yeah, sounds rather sad but wait that is not what the manga is whole about.
If I can advise you when to read the manga, then for your own safety and above all, emotional sanity, I advise against reading it when you are in the following situations:
1. Single.
2. Depressed.
3. Going over a break-up.
4. Man, you can even say that it is a bad time to read even when you're in a relationship.
You may be asking yourself, who is this bum saying that there is no good time reading this manga? and rightfully so, well if you let me explain. This manga shall you give the literal best pain you have ever experienced, some people will know what I am talking about, but if you don't let me elaborate. By the best pain, I mean that in your head you will find it pleasuring, pleasing, southing might as well even calming, but in your very depths of your soul, you will fell pain, agony and regret, anger and questioning what are you even doing at this point. I surely say that at chapters 100-101 I walked to my mirror and just sat there looking at myself for 10 painstaking minutes, thinking what could I have done so I can enjoy something as this.
I know, I know at first this review seemed a formal piece of work but I wanna tell the facts they way they are, not sugar-coting things here.
The moment everyone been asking for, the romance. "Wow", "Damn, "Awww", "hmmm", these expressions were coming from a straight male, mind that I was constantly just spacing out and thinking about my life choices almost every 6-10 chapters. To put it more simply, you will get what every anime-manga has not been giving you all this time. Presenting you, the most pure romance that has ever been written in manga form, no fan-service, no childhood best-friend in the way, no harem, just straight-up romance between two very like-minded people. Not to sound any sort of sexist but it is clear that this work was done by a woman, a very talented one at that. The idealistic ideas that were put in this manga just seem that way to me, how the main characters are interacting with each other and their character, they tip more to the woman side of things, again I am not against it but rather supporting this.
Additionally, the manga will reshape your ideals of a relationship, setting the standards even higher, I was really mind blown by how the romance played out, it was a comforting experience, even though it pains me to say this but I wish that these romance phenomena that are presented here were real. Yeah it sounds really weird but I think that many people can relate to this, that form of romance described here for me had a nostalgic feel to it, I know it is far from today's norm but being 16 and seeing people my age in relationships are thinking and doing, it just seems a faraway fantasy.
As you reading the chapters there will come a realization that this manga provides much more than just a deep romance. There will be some chapters about just life itself, goals and dreams, and when you put some thought into it, I believe that you will come to understand that some of these dialogues will just be straight up sound advise about discovering yourself, opening yourself, rebuilding yourself back.
Now, lets talk about the second genre of the manga, the drama. To be completely frank, the way the drama scenes were written, in my humble opinion, these scenes were better than the romance ones, I was tearing up reading some of these chapters. In addition, it is during these chapters that the whole cast of characters seem so well-executed in regards of how they impacted the general plot. I mean I found it really hard to find even one bad side-character and I really could not. Even the smallest and tiniest bits of drama here was enough to shed a tear.
One thing that the writer manages so well is how the characters express their feelings, not only to one another but to the reader as well, adding to the overall drama. I mean it really felt like watching from above some teens grow-up emotionally while trying to organize and manage their present and future.
To conclude this corny yapping session of mine, I would say that this manga may seem like something so simple, I even thought that it would be just only romance, but thanks to all the characters, drama, story and above-all, the incredible mangaka, I got so much more than just some eye-pleasing scenes and moments. It really helped me "digest" my situation in life where I need to make some of the hardest decisions as of yet, therefore I shall say this and sum it all up, I whole-heartedly recommend reading this and not binge it like me, or if you do binge it don't skip the seemingly uninteresting chapters, I really believe that everyone can take even a little bit from this manga, it is just a matter of perspective.

A simple yet powerful story filled with unforgiving situations is what the anime "Dororo" is composed of. The sheer brutality is not something to question here, nonetheless in this story can be found many teachings about anything.
Don't know exactly where to begin but i will try my best because I was starstruck by the anime. Sin, greed, perseverance, tragedy and regret are the subjects this anime breaches, combined with an incredible way of writing it makes up a compelling story. A story of a boy trying to find and take back what was taken from him, accompanied by a young kid name Dororo which itself ... Jun 8, 2024
Never in my life would i have thought that I would see all that I wanted in a series in one only, words cannot simply describe the feelings that I have felt throughout the episodes. It is incredible just sensing how much the messages from this anime are getting to you, it is just a masterpiece.

First time writing a review be comprehensive please, I am gonna be honest i am a new anime watcher and probably don't have much experience. However, this does not change the fact whether you like something or not, by that i mean if you like something or you find it interesting in the slightest then give it a try, such as a book title or plot, read the first 5 chapters then decide whether it is for you or not.
Anyway getting that out of the way, let me be clear, this anime is straight up depression, it is on the level of Kimi no ... |
