Without further ado, onto the review (I’ll mark from where the spoilers start, so don’t worry. Continue reading this with the same amount of confidence that Zenitsu gets when he starts sleeping.)

What do you get when you mix an amazing plot and harmonious soundtrack with unreal animation? You get Demon Slayer. I believe I don’t have to explain how much hype there was for Season 2, and I can confidently say Ufotable delivered more than expected. The animation was a blessing for the eyes, containing some of the best battles animation has to offer. The fluid fights resonated with ... every atom of my body, making it pump out that adrenaline faster than Muzan could get pissed at his demons. Hopefully even the haters can agree, the animation is straight up amazing. Huge thanks to Ufotable for making this gem. Now, onto the story….

A delicate yet wonderful mesh of emotional moments, humorous dialogues and stimulating fights, this Season is packed with beautifully animated scenes. One scene you’ll be bawling your eyes out, the next laughing uncontrollably, and the next cheering for whoever you like. Perfectly paced, it slowly prepares you for what’s coming next, then explodes your mind with more than what you expected. Every scene is interesting, and not a single moment is wasted. This is one of the few anime, where not even a single scene has bored me. Even the music, especially the OP song was really good. Our not so smooth (I’ll tear your guts out if you slightly piss me off) criminal Michael Jackson gets some screen time briefly too, so that’s a plus.

Now about the characters (Spoilers start from here. So for those who haven’t watched it yet, go watch it after mentally preparing yourself for an amazing journey.)

Tanjiro – We once again meet with our good boy Tanjiro. What’s not there to love about him? Someone deeply relatable to us; a human trying to find their way in the world while struggling to hold tight and not let go the few precious things he has left, his sister and his friends. I have no siblings of my own, yet I could still feel the strong bond between Tanjiro and Nezuko. His passion reached the heart of Rengoku’s father, and he wrote letters to Senjuro without losing touch with him. These two scenes were short, but their impact was immense. It goes to show how much Tanjiro cares about others. His attitude, where he keeps going even when things look bleak, and pushes himself to the max, pretty much inspired me too. He’s no Saitama, but that will never stop him from trying harder.

Uzui Tengen – Has one of the funniest entrances I’ve seen so far. Calls himself God of Festivals, and when Inouske called himself God of Mountains, he found him weird lmao. Has a pretty interesting backstory, and knows the value of life. When in danger, prioritise your life first, that way you can survive to fight another day.

Nezuko – New power up was sick. Plant Nezuko looked really nice, while baby Nezuko was adorable.

Zenitsu – Speed hax. Love how during all the important fight scenes he was asleep.

Inouske – Rearranging internal organs and dislocating joints to move like a worm; I wouldn’t be able to make abilities like this even if I was overdosed with sake.

Daki and Gyutaro – Tanjiro and Nezuko but evil. Their synergy was great and both of them really put up a good fight till the end. Their backstory in the last episode really hit me in the feels.

Michael Jackson – I gotta say he’s one of the coolest and cruellest villains I’ve seen. The way his overwhelming power was shown blew me away.

Basically my summary of this is - An amazing series having a beautifully crafted story, animated down to the finest of details, with the right sprinkle of humour, emotion and action.

(For those who haven't read Solo Leveling yet, I've marked where the spoilers begin, so you can read till there unless you're fine with being spoiled ^_^)

In the beginning, I didn’t have very high expectations for any manga/manhwa (much less think I would write a review for it, but look at me now). It never gave me the ... hype that anime did, especially in the case of fight scenes. In my eyes, manga was always inferior to anime, that is, until I read this…..

If I were to describe this manhwa in a few words, I would call it a perfectly paced story, having insane fights, gorgeously illustrated, with comedy drizzled in all the right places. In short, something that exceeds a masterpiece. With the perfect blend of character development, emotion, story, and explosive fights, this manhwa captivates the reader completely. Once drawn in, I wanted to read more and more.

Story and illustration

Had me enraptured throughout. There wasn’t a single chapter where I felt bored. Not many manga can consistently be interesting, but this completely blew away the norm. Every panel was beautifully drawn, for a solid storyline. Many mysteries were revealed, and many deciphered. Each fight scene was drawn in such a way that I felt as if I was there seeing it with my own eyes. I usually only get chills when I see really well animated fights in anime, but this manga completely blew away that view and gave me chills in almost every fight. The art never failed to impress, with each panel being detailed right down to the finest level.

The weakest hunter, putting his life on the line just so he could support his ailing mother and fund his sister’s education, is how the story starts. The stronger hunters, not having a care in the world, lived their life pompously, while the weaker hunters strived to even earn a meagre wage. It brings into our perspective, how society is divided. Even though the strong and weak were close to each other geographically, they were miles away metaphorically.

Sung Jin-Woo, an E-rank, worked his ass off, disregarding his own safety in order to support his mother and sister. Due to an unfortunate event, he got trapped in a double dungeon, but due to his quick intellect, he managed to decode the hidden puzzles, and save whoever he could. In the end, he was the only one left, choosing to sacrifice himself to save the others. Death was clutching his neck, ready to snap it at any moment, but destiny had other plans for him. After passing out, he awoke to find within him, a power of unknown origin. Using his newfound ability, he transformed from a weak person who frequently got hurt, to a badass dude ready to protect his family and friends, whatever may come his way. This can clearly be seen, where he chose to protect his father, even if it meant going against every single hunter.

Not just his family, but Sung even cared for his friend (pretty much like a brother to him ;) a lot, even if he was comparatively much weaker.

The emotional impact these scenarios created in me was immense. It made me realise how much my parents and close friends meant to me, and made me realise I would go against even the world to protect them. Overall, its plot was perfect, infused with all the right elements at the right proportion.

Characters

I could go on and on about how I love all the characters, and how each have their own individual charm, but I’ll just focus on a few characters briefly and on the protagonist mainly, because he is the one we are most exposed to, and through whose eyes we see this magnificent plot unravel.

Jin-Ho Yoo- A character I loved the instant they introduced him. Funny, righteous and loyal are just some of his loveable traits. They way he tried to protect Sung even before he knew of Sung's power, and choosing to stand beside him when threatened by Hwang Dong-Suk to kill him, showed he what kind of a character he was. Him telling Sung that he considered him as an older brother, and Sung telling him he’ll consider him as a younger brother made my heart jump for joy.

Hae-In Cha (her just straight up admitting she liked Sung was really hilarious lol), Gun-Hee Go (was so sad when he died, rip legend), Jong-In Choi, Jin-Chul Woo ,Yoon-Ho Baek, Esil Radiru (One second she tries to murder Sung, the next she begs for forgiveness, only to try murdering him again lmao) -All epic people. But their names are so hard to remember.

Shadow soldiers: Beru, Kaisel, Igris, Tank, Iron (and all the other shadow soldiers who appeared later) -They’re all so cool. Each have their own individual character, which deepens their personality.

Now for the character I’ve been waiting to talk about. The MC who’s more badass than the villains (*insert badass music of your choice here)

Sung Jin-Woo

One of the most badass characters I’ve seen, the epitome of cool. Going against the world to protect those close to him, he’s the renegade we all deserved.

A minimum number of people needed to clear a gate? Oh, don’t mind me and my army clearing it ourselves. It’s not just his attitude and mindset, but his abilities too. They’re nothing short of amazing. Shadow Extraction, Ruler’s Authority, Bloodlust and Mutilation are just some of his staggering abilities. Is it just me, or does Shadow Extraction and Preservation give off Pokemon vibes? A badass MC with badass abilities who will do his best to protect those he cares for, what more do you want? (He rampaged into my top 3 favourite characters faster than him summoning his shadow soldiers.)

Finally, the ending. You know that feeling when an amazing anime or manga betrays you in the last second with a shitty ending? Yeah, Solo Leveling didn't have that. Rewinding time to save everyone while carrying the burden all by yourself? It's eveything I had hoped for but better. Was very glad to know that in the end, Sung and everyone who had stood for him got a happy ending.

(I really hope this manhwa gets an anime adaptation soon!)

V4Watcher here to bring you the review, as precise and concise as possible. This review will talk about the whole series, including the last episode, which was an extremely fulfilling conclusion to an anime with a very unique concept.

One fine day, my friend was like 'Bruh, there's this anime where they instantly agree to get married. You gotta watch it.' I was a bit hesitant to watch it at first, but after reading the summary, I was like 'Yes. I NEED to watch this.'

It started off with our MC Nasa about to be yeeted by Truck-kun, but this is where this anime started to ... stand out from the rest. Instead of being killed and isekai'd into another universe where he had to battle Demon Lords, his future wife showed up and sustained most of the damage.

There are many hints that Tsukasa is not actually human, which was a fun thing to search for while watching the anime. She sustained injuries from Truck kun but was able to walk freely, and one time she even said something anong the lines "You humans get diseases easily.' (The episode where Nasa had a cold I think? Don't remember too well.)

The OP and ED is catchy, and when I heard it during this OVA, it brought back fond memories of me watching the series.

Now that we've been reminded of the main story, let's get back to the concluding episode. One thing I loved is that they made this episode comedic and not just filled with parting and saddness. Usually animes fill the last episodes with saddness and farewells, but this was different. It showed the start of a new life for Nasa and Tsukasa.

For half the episode, we looked at lonely Tsukasa, and for the other half a very embarassed Nasa and Tsukasa. The fact that they could make something like this actually hilarious and engaging to watch is really something.

Overall, this final episode had good pacing, a small though solid plot, and humour showing it's face in all the right places. While it may not be the best anime you would've ever seen and blow your brains out, it is a short and engaging journey of a person coming to terms with married life, unfurled to us with humorous events and consistent pacing, along with a tinge of mystery surrounding it. Extremely wholesome. All in all, if I had to describe this anime in a few words...I would say it's

Tonikaku Kawaii ;)

I cannot express the feelings I felt while watching this movie directly, so here I write a letter, in fact a review, to unfurl the mark this movie left on my soul.

Let me tell you, straight off the bat, that Violet Evergarden isn't like one of those movies that boast a crappy, realistic and sad ending. It dared to bring forth the ending we all knew was impossible, but wished for deep within our hearts, and animated it with grand splendour. (Spoilers ahead)

Run Gilbert run! One of the most satisfying moments of anime ever, was Gilbert, standing near the cliff, weeping after reading Violet's letter. ... His brother, who had treated Violet merely as a weapon, was now here, standing before Gilbert, for the sake of Violet. All the years he had wanted to thank him culminated into this beautiful moment, where he made Gilbert realise where his heart truly belonged, and made him race to the one who yearned most for him.

The way the film started was indeed a very pleasant surprise. Relating it deeply with one of the most emotional and heart-touching episodes of the Violet Evergarden series, it couldn't have been handled in a better way.

Life is fleeting for everyone, none spared. It lies within us how we spend the few precious moments with those we cherish. Violet Evergarden, captured this delicate perspective, and shepherded it to us in various ways.

A boy, who loved and adored his family and one true friend, but had no idea how to convey it, in desparation, lobbed to the telephone and called the Postal Company, despite his weak body, for the sake of thanking everyone who had been there for him. With little money to spare, he was ready to give up all of it, so that they could keep a part of him after he had crossed Death's door.

Gilbert, in the aftermath of the war, realised how many lives he had led to their doom, and eventually got crushed by the overbearing guilt, enduring and suffering it alone in solitude. He blamed himself for Violet losing her arms, and made himself responsible for all the suffering Violet went through. He distanced himself from everyone he cared for, thinking it was for the best. But alas! Destiny did not see it the same way. However far apart fate separated him from those he loved, destiny pulled them together again. Violet and Dietfried, together, showed him that he didn't have to face the burden all alone, that it could be shared, because that was what bonds were truly capable of.

A young lady, feeling a deep resentment because they hadn't visited their grandparent more often, let out her frustration towards her parents, despite knowing that her argument was half-baked. Following the steps of Violet Evergarden, she realised the importance of bonds and what love really signifies. In order to apologise and let them know how she truly felt, she sent them a letter with just a few words, but infinite meaning. Those words were "I love you."

Capturing the essence of something so fragile and delicate- the concept of life and death itself, and animating it in such a way that it calls upon the very soul of the viewer, is candidly astonishing. Every scene from the beginning of the movie to the very end possessed great detail and precision. Kyoto animation really outdid themselves, and their passion that went into making the film was very evident. The vibrancy and life of every scene was stunning, beautifully drawn and animated to bring out the best.

A splendid mixture of plot and sentiment, sprinkled with the right amount of comedy, animated down to the finest detail, is what I would summarise the Violet Evergarden movie in a few words. This was not just a film made to simply entertain, it was one which strove to make us realise what was important in life, and cherish moments that might never come by again.

Wherever Kaguya-sama: Love is War goes, hilarity and havoc ensure. Life is mostly mundane and humdrum; it lies within us to make the most of what we have. Love is War is not an anime about dying (in most cases by Truck-kun) and being reincarnated in a fantasy world of your dreams, or gaining some OP power to whoop that ass of the evil dude. It takes into account the very prosaic lives we live in and turns it into something truly entertaining. Love is War ... tries to convey something along the lines “You thought normal life was boring? O KAWAII KOTO”. This OVA, just like the main series, encapsulates that thought and presents it before you in the form of three episodes.

This OVA lunges fan-service, bundled with hysterics right onto you, creating the perfect recipe for uproarious humour. Boisterous events and riotous remarks are sprinkled throughout the episodes, leading to a smooth flow of story progression and comedy. The way each scene transitions into the next is well connected.
The jocular narrator with a serious voice, like always, is perfectly embroidered into the story, similar to how silk is sewn into the spine of the book, and guides us along with the characters of the story in this OVA.

It poses a real challenge to get people interested in ordinary characters, but A-1 Pictures does a brilliant job of bringing out the extraordinary in an otherwise customary school set-up and daily lives. The characters maintain their individual charm in the OVA, Shirogane-his cocky yet amusing behaviour, Kaguya-her inner devilish scheming behind that kawaii face, Chika- her unwitting and innocent view on everything, and Ishigami-his hilarious mood swings from nonchalant to hyper in a few seconds.

I’ve seen a few people say they went overboard with the fanservice and all, and even though that's kinda true (I felt a bit that way too), that’s the whole point to an OVA. It’s a place to let free what the producers intended us to see without any restrictions or main plot. It’s there as not a part of the main series, but as a few chill (but extremely hilarious) episodes for us to enjoy. If you haven’t watched it yet, my personal recommendation is; if you took a shine to Love is War S1 and S2, you’ll get a bang out of the OVA too. Provided you liked the narrating style of the series, and don't have a major problem with fanservice, I’d say go for it and watch this OVA, you won’t be disappointed.

Now watch as people who just post swear words and hate comments take all the top spots while those who actually try to write decent reviews for everyone in an unbiased way go to the bottom. Even if the fanservice was over the top and you hated it, reviews have to be as unbiased as possible. In the end, decent reviews that actually try to be a review with as little spoilers as possibe so that everyone can get a chance to read it just lose to a bunch of haters.

This is my first review, so bear with me. (Minor Spoilers)

Re:Zero was always a show that stood apart from the rest, whether it be the story, the gore, or the lore. If you've made it this far, I'd say you're pretty interested in the anime, just like me :)

One thing that stood out throughout this anime was the insane character development, sprinkled throughout almost every episode. The anime not only clutches the main characters but also the side characters and forces them to strive and improve. The transformation of Otto from a selfish ... person; pushing Subaru to his death(White Whale incident) to one risking his life in the most insane way possible for him, Beatrice getting over her fears and inhibition, Ram from being submissive to finally opposing Roswaal for his own sake, and Emilia getting stronger emotionally to face her past, no-one is free from the clutches of character development. Don't even get me started on Subaru, he's had his character developed more times than Romanée-Conti has bit his fingers after becoming all psycho mode.

Forget the characters' development, it even tried to make us realise the importance of our parents and those we love, and to cherish those moments. Happy moments, though fleeting, must always be remembered, since we will never know if we'll get another chance. In order to accept who we truly are, we must embrace our past, present and future. Rather than aimlessly making us watch an anime for the sake of it, it made an attempt to make us better as an individual.

The strength in numbers and the vibrant power of friendship is highlighted by this season, and it gives a wholesome vibe to it. Whatever was accomplished, was done with the help of other. Subaru, Otto, Garfield, Rem, Emilia, Beatrice, Frederica and everyone else accomplished the end result by sticking for and trusting each other. There was no lone hero, who slugged punches and kicks onto the villain to make him submit.

Sadly, Rem(one of my favourite characters), the maid who's character change was a complete 360°, from murdering Subaru brutally before, to becoming more attached to him than a piece of bubble gum, still remains a vegetable this season. If I have any complaints about this season, it's that I didn't see enough of Rem. But I guess that makes the wait for her to make her smashing appearence later all the more worthwile.

Some people say Re:Zero is good because of how weak Subaru is and how he's not op. But I don't personally think so, power isn't about just how much you can beat the crap out of someone. Subaru, in my opinion, has one of the most op powers, the power to redo everything until he gets what he wants. The ability to potentially protect everyone you love, is something much more important than being able to wield a sword like it's your wii remote.(Never had a wii or ps4*sob*, feel free to buy me one if you want ;)
Overall, if you liked the previous Re:Zero episodes, and want some more stunning visual and auditory content, I'd say go for it and watch this if you haven't already.
