This series was heavily slept on during this season of anime. ADVICE: Keep track of the dates shown in each episode- the timeline is important for the first 3 or 4 episodes to flow better in your head
Even if you aren't a big military or political-garbage fan, there are much bigger elements at work in 86. The show digs deep into traumas and discrimination with small side stories that bind the whole series together without overloading the viewer with information. If you've never felt what its like to yearn for two people to meet (unromantically), its imminent from episode 1 and creates the foundation

High edge-of-your-seat energy, very creative story and a twist of different characters with an absolutely phenomenal soundtrack. The scenes themselves were delivered so very well, keeping to the suspenseful crime theme. We are firstly introduced into a world with no knowledge or information, just as the main character is, trying to solve a mastery with only a name. From there, it is somewhat of a jigsaw puzzle of piecing together not only the main plot but also several side plots that contribute to the overall jigsaw logic. There are some deep psychological elements blended into the chaos of the crime and mysteries through the characters

Yakusoku no Neverland 2nd Season
(Anime)
add
Yakusoku no disappointment. I’m sure everyone’s reviews are similar which is why I can reiterate that is was definitely the most drop-worthy season 2 of any series I have seen yet. Even outside of it becoming Anime-only, the storyline and character “development” were mediocre at best. I admit there was potential from the first two or three episodes but the longer it aired the more I feel they just confused viewers very unnecessarily. If curiosity peaks your interest to see how they ended it then just be prepared to take it for what it is and enjoy all the plot holes

Think of these as bonus information episodes rather than giving it a 'season 2' stigma. They greatly expanded on Keith and with the help of (admittedly) bland extras, set up a straight-forward story, delivered quite an investigation and stayed grounded to its original style. If you enjoyed the first season there really is not much reason to not enjoy these OVAs, plus there is clearly room for continuation
If I had to come for anything, it would be the uselessness of the new characters outside of connecting the obvious plot holes BUT I will say they could have purposely done that for the sake of cutting ... Feb 22, 2021
Devilman: Crybaby

This is best watched with an open mind and ability to see the underlying meanings buried under a simple yet fast-paced storyline of Evil vs the human heart. The framework of the series is formed on religion and the themes of drugs, sex and desires are purposely meant to challenge that aspect from a human - demon - godly perspective. I don't suggest watching Devilman Crybaby unless you are open to ambiguous ideas constantly thrown quickly and directly at you. I rated this an overall 7 purely out of personal enjoyment even though the storyline and delivery were brilliantly designed. It will either make you

An uncoordinated bunch of badass criminals + an ordinary girl in a high speed adventure amongst incredible futuristic scenery and flashy action is the gist of the anime. It’s not bad, it just had way more potential, I mean the storyline was strong but the second half of the anime was lost. What I was watching ended up no longer making enough sense and the tying of loose ends was sloppy. The sci-fi elements and action packed themes will be enough to keep you entertained though With all that in mind, the characters also had potential but they fit the dynamic and pace of how

This is an extremely bing-worthy series. Incredible real-world story and characters but with very raw themes that you have to be prepared for: Gang wars, Violence and Indecent behavior to name a few.
The two main characters are really something special. Two completely different worlds combined and two completely different kids experiencing pain, suffering and sacrifice all while creating an unexpected but unconditionally beautiful friendship with each other. It can be interpreted as scraping the surface of shounen-ai (I disagree) but if you can grasp Ash's PTSD you will understand the fundamental importance of the relationship he and Eiji share. Supporting characters held their own ... Apr 29, 2015

Yet another glorious movie that left me thinking about life more seriously than I should be at my age. Words can't express how outstanding this story is.
The description would capture anyone with enough interest, I didn't care if I hated the story I wanted to know the answers to the synopsis - that's how much the storyline had me going. Luckily - there was 0 chance of me disliking this movie because it shed light on every doubt I never had. MC is strong-minded and arrogant BUT this is not a problem! Don't get me wrong, we want MC to be this way - he ... |
